Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 125: Chapter 125: One More Little Teacher

So, when Xiaomi woke up, she found there was one more person in the house!

Previously, the family had fostered a Big Water Buffalo, which could help father pull vegetables!

Now, the family was fostering a young master, who could help brother with his lessons!

Oh right, there was also a little servant, who, while taking care of the young master, also had to help their family with chores...

Moreover, Master Liu generously stated, ten taels of silver per month!

This was agreed upon after Second Aunt Jiang Hu strongly insisted that it need not be too much.

Originally, according to Master Liu’s idea, twenty taels a month was not much at all.

His grandson’s monthly medicinal supplements cost more than twenty taels alone.

Second Aunt Jiang Hu was so shocked, she repeatedly said they didn’t even need any money.

After all, strictly speaking, Master Liu not only protected the Tongfu Restaurant but also looked after the Jiang family.

By this calculation, the Jiang family was able to make money these years, much thanks to Master Liu.

Moreover, according to Master Liu’s only request, Liu Ze’s meals need not be specially taken care of, as long as he ate food that was self-grown and self-raised by the Jiang family, not bought from outside, it would suffice.

In this way, even one tael a month seemed too much.

But Master Liu’s intention was also clear.

His grandson was not worth so little, as long as he could be well taken care of and raised, not twenty taels, even thirty or forty would be worth it!

However, under the strong requests from both sides, it was finally changed to ten taels.

Earning ten taels a month was already quite a significant income for the Jiang family!

And for the Liu family, ten taels allowed Liu Ze to eat well and not be plagued by sickness, almost equivalent to being for free!

By the time Xiaomi woke up, Master Liu had already left, leaving only Liu Ze and a little servant in their home.

As for the little servant, he was basically an extra, and he had orders to help out with the Jiang family’s work, so he was somewhat self-sufficient.

Second Aunt had slept the whole morning and was feeling much better.

But by the time Master Liu left, it wasn’t early, so Second Aunt didn’t bother going up the mountain, instead, she stayed home to clean the vegetables to be sold the next day.

Jiang Hu was too tired, and went to his room to sleep.

As for Liu Ze’s belongings, Jiang Hu would bring them back when he delivered vegetables to town the next morning.

”Mrs. Jiang, let me help, too. These cucumbers and eggplants need to be picked, right?”

The little servant, named Qixi, was a fifteen or sixteen-year-old boy, who seemed quite clever and was very fond of the Jiang family’s meals at lunch!

So being left behind didn’t make him sad; instead, he was very happy.

Jiang Hu and his wife seemed good-tempered and easy to get along with.

At the Liu family home, there were all sorts of managers, officers by the master’s side, and the like, which couldn’t compete in comfort with this place.

Second Aunt was a bit embarrassed: ”Don’t call me Madam, it feels awkward.”

Qixi was already carrying a bamboo basket to the field, hearing this, he thought for a moment.

”Then is it okay if I call you Sister-in-law Jiang, Brother Jiang, is that alright?”

This wasn’t as awkward: ”This is fine; it sounds pleasant to the ear.”

In the countryside, everyone called each other Aunty, Sister-in-law, or something like that. Suddenly being called Madam seemed out of place.

With someone helping out, the work went quickly, and Second Aunt asked the children to stay home and chat with Liu Ze to keep him from getting bored alone.

Now, Liu Ze was lying on a reclining chair, which Jiang Hu made the previous year, making it quite comfortable to lie on.

”Big Brother, you didn’t eat much at noon, are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?”

Xiaomi leaned on the side of the recliner, looking at him curiously.

Liu Ze shook his head: ”I usually eat little, I’m not hungry now.”

Xiaomi blinked her eyes, pure and adorable: ”Are you tired then, do you want to sleep?”

Liu Ze continued to shake his head: ”I’m not tired; I feel really comfortable today.”

As he spoke, he touched his belly.

Previously during meals, even if he ate the vegetables sent by his grand uncle, he would occasionally eat other things, so his stomach would feel uncomfortable for a while.

But today, all the vegetables and grains were home-grown by the Jiang family, not a single discomfort was felt, even making his belly feel warmly at ease.

Xiaomi’s eyes lit up, and she ran back to the house, returning shortly with two small sand trays.

”Big Brother, can you teach me how to write?”

A ready-made teacher, no need to waste the opportunity!

Liu Ze was taken aback for a moment, then smiled and nodded: ”Sure.”

Then he turned his head, seeing Jiang Xiaoxue beside him, holding a piece of cloth, practicing embroidery.

”Miss Xiaoxue, would you like to join us?”

Liu Ze’s initiative surprised Xiaomi and Jiang Xiaoxue.

Jiang Xiaoxue hesitated: ”I learn slowly, maybe you should teach Xiaomi first, and let her teach me gradually.”

What Xiaomi learned in a flash, she needed half a day for, and it was easy to forget, so better not waste time.

Xiaomi: ”It’s okay, second sister, you can learn a character or two first and practice slowly.”

Such a good opportunity to study shouldn’t be missed.

Liu Ze nodded: ”Yes, Miss Xiaoxue, join us, if there’s a mistake, I can point it out.”

Jiang Xiaoxue thought it made sense and put down the embroidery needle and came over to learn together.

Liu Ze first asked what they had learned, and after Xiaomi roughly explained, Liu Ze continued to teach following the Three Character Classic.

Suffice to say, Master Liu mentioning that Liu Ze was well-read was no empty talk, without textbooks, he taught even better than Jiang Yu.

Jiang Yu, after all, had just started school, and teaching Xiaomi and Xiaoxue, he followed the teacher’s way of writing and teaching them to read and write.

Whereas Liu Ze, explained what these actually meant to them.

When Second Aunt came back carrying a basket full of vegetables, what she saw were the kids diligently studying under the eaves.

Don’t ask where Tiedan was, the little guy hadn’t woken up yet and was sleeping soundly by father’s side.

At the time of the rooster’s first crow, Jiang Yu came back, surprised by the additional two people at home.

Yet, after hearing the explanation, he felt more sympathy and admiration for Liu Ze.

Going hungry was the worst.

Moreover, being able to study so well while hungry was quite impressive!

Children’s hearts are simple, and there’s only admiration and awe for someone more capable than themselves, without any jealousy.

”So you’re actually a few days younger than me.” Jiang Yu was shocked.

He had just inquired in detail about the age. He was seven on the fifth of May, and Jiang Yu, it turned out, was exactly seven on the tenth of May!

Liu Ze was a bit surprised too.

But Jiang Yu quickly reacted and patted Liu Ze’s shoulder.

”Perfect, I’ll call you Xiao Ze, and you call me Big Brother. Don’t look at how I’m not as scholarly as you, I’m quite good at working. When I have a holiday, I’ll take you to the mountains to play!”

Liu Ze didn’t argue and smiled, nodding: ”Sure, Big Brother Jiang.”

Jiang Yu immediately beamed: ”Hey, you’re much more obedient than Tiedan.”

No sooner were the words spoken, his butt was patted: ”Big Brother’s badmouthing me again!”

It was Tiedan, pouting, looking very unhappy.

He had just come back with second sister after gathering eggs, only to hear Big Brother saying he wasn’t obedient.

Jiang Yu quickly turned around and picked Tiedan up in his arms.

”Tiedan must have misheard, I said you’re the most well-behaved, how many eggs did you collect today?”

Tiedan was indeed distracted: ”Second sister counted, thirteen!”

”Really? That’s amazing!”

”Mmm, it’s true.”

Liu Ze watched the brothers with a smile, feeling that the family atmosphere was truly wonderful.
