The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 603: Chapter 603- Revival of the World Tree & Aurelian (2)

During this time, no one else would try to hoard or bother him.

Today happens to be the day Melissa got to have him for herself. And it wasn’t easy. As this was one of the unique days when the entire city was in a festive mood, all the girls wanted to be a part of the night of celebration.

However, Melissa fought them off with ironclad reasons.

”Is that so?” Although Reinhardt didn’t know anything about their agreement, he could somewhat guess.

While it was true that he liked having them all at once, peaceful nights like this, where he could sleep with a single woman each day, were also not bad.

A while later, the slick, rhythmic sounds of their coupling started reverberating all around his room.

It was then...

Knock... Knock...

A knock came from his door. Reinhardt and Melissa, who were entangled on top of the bed, halted in their position.

Reinhardt looked at the door with a frown, his cock still buried inside Melissa’s heat. As for the latter, she stiffened beneath him.

Who could be knocking at his door at this time?

Unlike Melissa, Reinahrdt wasn’t fazed; he simply looked at the door with a thought. He already knew who it was.

It was just that he didn’t expect them to come here at this time.

The door to his room was knocked once again, and from the other side came a voice.

”Lord Reinhardt, this is Elina. Sorry for disturbing you at this hour, but there is something I need to let you know”.

The person on the other side was none other than Elina, an expert marksman elf.

”Let’s stop here for the time being,” Reinhardt slowly withdrew himself from her pussy and slowly got dressed.

Then, after downing a glass of wine, he donned a robe and opened the door.

Just as announced, it was Elina. She was here by herself, alone.

”Come in,” Saying that, he did not stop for her reply and directly turned around.

Elina’s face was flushed. Since Reinhardt and Melissa did not bother to keep their voices low, she could hear everything outside.

Stepping inside the room, Elina’s face turned a deep crimson.

The thick scent in the air, the messy bedroom and the lewd hue of the candle, it all spoke of the passion that happened inside the room.

Elina’s eyes shifted from the room to the bed. There, sprawled on the rumpled silk sheets, was Melissa. Her body glistened with sweat and was half exposed.

The room’s warmth seemed to condense into the thick, unmistakable scent of sex that hit her like a wave.

Reinhardt did not care where Elina’s eyes went. He nonchalantly sat by the edge of the bed and looked at her.

”What is it, Elina? What is the important business you spoke of that couldn’t wait till morning?”

Elina suppressed her embarrassment and spoke with a serious voice.

”It’s about Cecilia. I spoke with her. She does not know it, the song passed down from the royal family”.

Reinhardt frowned, not understanding the gravity of the situation. He was not an elf after all, and didn’t know the importance of songs for their race.

”What do you mean?” Although his expression did not change, the air around him did.

Elina continued. ”When I talked with Cecilia about the things she would need to perform tomorrow, she told me... her mother never taught her any songs, not even a single one”.

”Are the songs really that important?”

Elina did not answer immediately. Instead, she matched his eyes and told in an utterly serious tone.

”The songs of the elves... are not just songs. They are identity. They tell us who we are... where we come from. They carry the voices of our ancestors. They are... our history, made immortal.”

Her voice carried a quiet weight. Reinahrdt narrowed his eyes slightly. Although it was difficult for him to understand their obsession with the songs, he knew enough to understand that each race had something they cared about deeply.

And for the elves, it was their songs.

But that was not the problem. The real problem was...

”Cecilia needs the songs of her ancestor to revive the World Tree”.

Elina clarified. ”To awaken the World Tree... the High Elf must sing. It is the way the Priestess connects with the tree. Although I don’t know much, the songs of my clans speak about the ancient elf priestess singing to the World Tree”.

”What?”

This was a serious matter indeed. No wonder Elina knocked on his door at this hour.

As it turns out, although he got all the material and person needed to revive the world tree, the person lacked some of the qualifications.

”What about we plant the seed without it? Can’t the world tree be revived without a song?”

”Without it?” Elina lowered her gaze. ”The chances... are extremely low.”

It was not impossible, but close enough.

”I see...”

For a moment, no one in the room spoke. Even Melissa silently listened to their conversation from the side without making any movements.

Since the standard method won’t work, then they needed to find another way.

”Since it’s a song, how about you teach her the songs of your tribe?” Reinhardt questioned, looking at Elina.

”I..” The latter stiffened slightly, then shook her head.

”It’s not that simple. There are differences between lineages. The royal song is... unique. It carries authority... resonance... something deeper.”

Saying that, she then pointed at herself.

”The songs passed down in my family... they are not the same. They might not be enough. Most importantly. The songs of the royal family have the names of their ancestors who have previously made a connection with the World Tree”.

”So that’s how it is huh”. Reinhardt mused to himself.

He did not dismiss the idea completely, nor did he admit defeat. He had come this far and made all the necessary preparations. There is no way he would back down now.

Elina looked at him. For a moment, uncertainty flickered in her eyes. Hesitating for a while, she spoke again.

”Even so...I will try.”

Reinhardt nodded. ”That’s enough.”

He did not place too much burden on her and just let destiny do its work.

Of course, if need be, he would intervene.

Although this was a serious matter, Reinhardt was not overly worried.

Asterius the Spirit King has assured him that the world tree in his world can be revived. The latter wouldn’t make him go on a wild goose chase.

The Spirit King must be aware of this problem, too. Yet despite that, he assured Reinhardt. It must mean that there was a way.

”Don’t worry, it will work out some way or another”.

Reinhardt’s assurance caused Elina’s expression to soften. The revival of the World Tree was a huge thing for the elves.

It was not only their diety, but the source of their power.

With the discussion over, an awkward silence enveloped the place. Reinhardt noticed how Elina was fidgeting this entire time, her thighs squirming in unrest, and the subtle glances she threw at Melissa on top of his bed.

Earlier, she was too hasty to report to Reinhardt and hadn’t at all considered other things.

However, now that the talks were over, she finally realised the intimate space that she had invaded.

Reinhardt looked at that Elina, and a playful smile appeared on his face.

”Well, the business is sorted then. But you’re still here. And you look... unsettled.”

Startled, Elina blushed deeply. ”I-I am not”.

”You are,” Reinhardt interrupted, his tone playful.

”Tonight is my peerage celebration. The formalities are done, and we were in the midst of the real celebration. Since you are already here and have something on your mind, then why don’t you stay and join us?”

The question hung in the air like a shocking, audacious invitation.

Melissa on top of bed, was caught off guard. Today was her day to have Reinhardt all to herself. For this, she even fought off her rivals.

That said, she did not mind. She was getting a little tired too, anyway. Perhaps Elina could take her place for a while.

Be that as it may, her eyes still shifted between Elina and Reinhardt with a deep, hidden curiosity.

Melissa thought that she knew all the women Reinhardt was close to. Yet today there was another contender.

And given how Elina looked at Reinhardt, her womanly instinct told her that this was more than just a one night stand.

Join you in celebrating properly? Elina stood there frozen, her emotions unreadable.

”I’m just kidd-” Reinhardt was about to say that he was joking. However, even he didn’t expect Elina to accept his offer.

The embarrassment from her face did not vanish but it transformed, mixing with a daring resolve. She took a step forward and spoke with a soft but clear voice.

”Yes”.

Melissa’s lips parted in surprise, then curled into a smirk. She let the sheet fall a little, revealing more of her neck and cleavage.

”Make yourself comfortable”.
