The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 478: Chapter 478- Two Conditions (2)

In fact, with his current power, that promise was more than achievable now.

Reinhardt sighed, ”I can’t give you that promise. At least not completely.”

Minerva frowned; she was not angry, but rather curious.

The man who never flinched when baptizing demons with his divine light was nervous and trembled ever so slightly when using his divine skills on her. That person who was willing to set aside his own ideals for her was refusing her?

”What do you mean?”

”I’ve already made someone else my first priority in life.”

He admitted with a slow but absolute voice. Although that promise belonged to the previous Reinhardt, he had inherited that soul’s memories, and with them, that vow no longer felt like someone else’s burden. It was his. Now and forever.

He had no intention of breaking it.

Hearing his words, which were like a shock of a lifetime to her, Minerva’s expression shifted; it was beautiful, complicated, and unreadable.

”...Is it a woman?” Finally, she asked in a small voice.

Reinhardt nodded without lying. Immediately, she pouted. Her lips formed an adorable little curve that did not match her regal, sensual presence at all.

”Fine.” She snorted and spoke in a huff. ”Even if I cannot be number one, I’m willing to be number two. But no lower than that.”

With that angry, sad, and prideful expression, she looked extremely adorable.

A smile crossed Reinhardt’s face. Next, he gently took her hand and brought it to his lips. What followed next wasn’t merely a knight’s kiss but a divine oath.

A golden pillar of light that penetrated through all kinds of obstacles landed on him and the Queen sitting on his lap. As the light did not possess any purifying ability, it did not harm the demon half of the Queen. Instead, the pillar of light condensed to form a ring of halo above Reinhardt.

”I swear a divine oath to protect you, your whole self, no matter who stands in the way. Even if the entire world turns against you... I will be the fortress that does not fall.”

And so he declared with a voice that was like the decree of the heavens.

BADUMP~ At that instant, Minerva’s heart pounded loudly. A rosy flush surfaced on her cheeks, and she was unable to find her composure.

Quickly, she shifted her eyes away and tried to keep her wildly running excitement in check. As a knight, or rather as a man, Reinhardt was already unparalleled in handsomeness.

However, with the halo and the divine oath he swore, it simply raised his devastativeness to a level where even she, who could charm the entire world with her looks, found herself falling for him.

The Queen continued to look away. After a while, she cleared her throat and raised her second finger.

”My second condition... defeat me.”

Reinhardt opened his eyes wide. However, the blow came afterwards. The Queen gave him a sly smile, turned around, and mounted him, her hands wrapping around his neck.

”In bed, of course.”

That was the final blow. Reinhardt glanced into her eyes; there was an ancient power along with raw hunger swirling in their depths.

The condition she spoke of earlier hung in the air like a plea, or rather a challenge. Add that to the lavender scent she exuded and the heat from her body, and it made him unable to veer his eyes away from her.

A seductive smile flashed on Minerva’s face; she continued, ”Since you want me to go back to sleep again, then you must do so by making me submit. Overwhelm me, satisfy my desires. If you can make me yield, then I’ll have no qualms handing the control of the body back to your Queen.”

She leaned in; her wet lips touched the edges of his ear. ”So what do you say, my knight? If you can make me surrender in pleasure, then I will have no choice but to obey all your commands.”

At those terrifying words of intimacy and challenge, something primal within him awoke. A jolt of desire surged through his body. For just a moment, his eyes flickered to the King, who was sleeping soundly in the bed just a few meters away.

He had already given up resisting the fate the Divine Trait [Endless Ardor] brought him. Besides, the Queen never wanted to marry the King, nor was he ever successful in laying claim to her body.

This meant there was no consummation of their marriage. This made it easier for him to accept her challenge.

Reinhardt nodded his head.

”Hoh, you appear to be quite confident?” Seeing confidence oozing out of the knight, Minerva couldn’t help but comment. ”Do you really think you can make me, whose charm can seduce the entire world, submit?”

The Queen slowly took a step back, and with a slow, deliberate movement, she undid the thin straps of her night fabric. Under his watchful gaze, she pushed them down her shoulders.

The fabric fell off her skin, exposing the peaks of her magnificent, almost breathtaking breasts.

In that dim light, her exposed body was simply the definition of perfection. A fantasy of every man, given form.

Her breasts were full and heavy, with erect nipples that looked like dark peaks against her magnificent sun kissed skin. Her waist was graceful, curvy and made to tug at a man’s heart. The patch of her well trimmed pubis hair was the same pink as the hair on her head.

Every line and curve of her body spoke of a strength that was both regal and fiercely sexual. A literal... Goddess.

”My Knight... are you simply going to stare?”

At those words, Reinhardt realised that his composure had faltered for a moment. To cause him who possessed so many Divine Traits to be mesmerised by her beauty, it was a feat on its own.

Reinhardt stood up and removed his own armor. The Celestial Vanguard went back into his [Dimensional Storage] along with his clothes.
