The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 468: Chapter 468- The Queen?!!

It was already shocking that she woke up. However, what was truly astonishing was the appearance she was in right now.

Her usual crimson hair had turned a glowing shade of pink. Ominous looking markings ran along her body, pulsing with an enchanting light. The veil she always had on, had at some point fallen off, displaying a peerlessly beautiful face that could charm all souls in this world.

Her glowing pink eyes that looked lost and half open, gave off a regal and ancient aura.

Kevin and the squad, who had interacted with the Queen before, knew how incredibly beautiful she was. However, right now without the veil, her beauty shot through the roof, causing anyone gazing at her to get charmed.

The Queen looked completely different from the person they knew. However, it was not the reason why Kevin or rather all the squires here who were conscious, were shocked.

The actual and most important reason was the two horns that protruded from her head, curving behind almost in a crown like manner.

Those horns, although much more regal and elegant, were something that squires who had fought on the battlefield were much too familiar with. It was a signature feature of a particular species, or in other words, the demonkind.

Just what on earth was going on with the Queen?

The latter at this moment looked lost, her eyes unfocused. Nevertheless, her presence that naturally exuded from her body pressed on everyone present like hundreds of invisible mountains, so vast and mighty that in front of her, they might as well be insects.

Her presence was like that of a deity, otherworldly and beyond reason.

Even the Cerberus trembled. In front of her, the legendary S class monster looked like a puppy afraid of its master.

Chime... Chime~...

Unbothered by everything around her, the Queen started walking. She walked past them without a flicker of recognition. Her gaze did not land on Kevin, Gwen, or any of them. It was as if they no longer existed in her world.

Slowly, she walked past all the squires. The moment she stepped beyond the hall, her crushing aura also disappeared along with her charm that had left everyone momentarily mesmerised.

After the Queen left, Kevin and the others also snapped back to reality. Her sudden appearance and disappearance were just like the passing of a storm, leaving those caught up in it gasping for breath.

In normal cases, they would sigh a breath of relief. However, the situation did not leave them a moment of respite. Because they weren’t the only ones to snap back to reality.

GRRR... A bone chilling growl made them once again realise their current situation. That’s right, the danger hadn’t passed yet. The death reaper like creature was still there.

Freed from its paralysis, the Cerberus placed its attention back on the squires, killing intent palpable. They could all feel a terrifying power surge within the raised claw of the Cerberus.

”Kevin, get out of there!” Gwen cried out.

But Kevin refused to move. He had already made up his mind. Besides, he had his reason for not moving away. Just behind him, a few meters away, was Gwen. There was no way he could move and let her get in harm’s way.

Having said that, it was not like he was being suicidal. He had a card up his sleeve. As time came down to a crawl, he looked at the claw and then at his sword.

”I know you can hear me, right, [Tiamat]? As you can see, I am in a critical situation right now. Tell me, how do I enter that Crimson State from back in the Underground Vault?”

This was not a request but a gamble. He knew that [Tiamat] wouldn’t allow him to use the ability that placed a heavy burden on his body. Her conditions were clear: he needed to become stronger and increase his level. However, right now, he had no mind to pay any attention to any of that.

His teammates were down, and they were up against a wall so despairing that they could not see any light. Even if it meant forcing himself to come face to face with death, he was going to force [Tiamat] to let him use the ability.

”Fine. But just so you know, your body is still unable to handle the strain of the Red Dragon Aura. Prepare to face an outlandish amount of pain after this... that is, if you are still alive.”

His gamble had worked; [Tiamat] gave him the pass.

”Thank you,” he spoke in a few short words.

And so, in front of the shocked and awed eyes of everyone present, Kevin started undergoing a profound transformation. His short black hair started billowing with mysterious wind, becoming longer and crimson.

His body also started growing. His clothes ripped apart, causing the complex markings on his back to come into view.

These markings, which were limited only to his back, suddenly pulsed with a powerful red light before spreading all around his body.

With the appearance of these tattoos, Kevin’s appearance also started to change. His eyes became crimson, scales started appearing around his body, and a small horn protruded from his forehead.

With his mystical transformation, his aura also spiked, quickly breaching the stage of a level 5 squire and entering the power level of a True Knight.

What was shocking was that the spike did not stop there; no, it kept rising higher and higher until his aura even breached the power of a level 6 True Knight, reaching the realms of a High Ranking Knight.

While Kevin was undergoing such a transformation, all eyes were focused on him. For many, it was their first time seeing him in such a form.

Leaving aside squires from the different orders, even the squad was surprised by his change. While they did hear it from Gwen, hearing it and witnessing it with their own eyes were two different things.
