School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 637: Chapter 711: Punished Again With Copying

”What do you mean by ’giving me a chance’?” Huo Xinya gave him a disdainful look, the embarrassment on her face gradually fading as she laughed, ”Can’t you speak properly? It’s like I’m begging to tutor you.”

Chen Nan nodded and said, ”Isn’t that the truth? If it weren’t for your good graces, I wouldn’t bother learning that bird language.”

Huo Xinya patted her forehead, somewhat speechless, ”So, you’re saying you’re learning English just to save my face?”

”Of course, I have to respect the beauty class president’s face!”

”Alright, cut the crap,” Huo Xinya couldn’t help but laugh, adding, ”Pay attention and listen, I’ll continue explaining to you.”

”Yes, I will obey the class leader’s command.”

Chen Nan raised his palm and saluted smartly, making Huo Xinya chuckle. However, at that very moment, a figure stormed into the classroom, pointing and shouting, ”Chen Nan!”

Chen Nan was startled and looked up to see Lan Yuqin glaring at him furiously, as if she couldn’t wait to devour him.

Chen Nan felt helpless. How had he offended her again?

”Teacher, what’s wrong now?” he asked.

”Hmph, you very well know what you’ve done!” Lan Yuqin pointed towards the door irritably, ”Come to the office with me. And, Xinya, this guy isn’t any good, stay away from him in the future.”

With that, she strode out of the classroom.

Following Lan Yuqin’s scolding, Chen Nan truly felt like a puzzled monk probing in the dark; he still didn’t know how he could have possibly offended this Lan girl.

Huo Xinya also smiled and said, ”Even Teacher Lan knows you’re no good.”

”I’m not just no good, I am a good person.”

Chen Nan chuckled and rose to his feet, heading out of the classroom.

Following closely behind Lan Yuqin, Chen Nan reached the office and leaned on the desk, looking down at Lan Yuqin who was seated, ”I say, Lan girl... no, Teacher Lan, what do you want with me this time?”

Lan Yuqin glared at him, snorting coldly, ”Playing dumb, huh?”

Chen Nan was confident he hadn’t slipped up, especially since he had used ”Forget Dust” on his previous incident with Su Qingqing—Lan Yuqin definitely couldn’t remember that affair, ”I truly have no idea.”

”We’ll see how long you can keep up this tough act!” Lan Yuqin stretched her phone towards Chen Nan, ”Open your damn eyes and look carefully, what’s this?”

On the screen was a photo.

To be precise, it was a photo taken moments ago of Chen Nan holding Huo Xinya.

”This... um...”

All of a sudden, Chen Nan felt guilty and tried to change the subject, ”Teacher, this is where you’re wrong. As a people’s teacher, you must have principles. How could you do something as shameful as taking sneaky photos?”

”You’re lecturing me now?”

Lan Yuqin was fuming and said, ”I saw this photo on the school forum. What’s really going on between you and Huo Xinya? Spill the beans!”

Chen Nan knew he couldn’t dodge the issue and, scratching his head, he admitted, ”Alright, I confess I like Huo Xinya and I want to pursue her.”

”Nonsense! It’s clear as day you two are dating. Why else would she let you hold her?” Lan Yuqin sneered, ”You’re trying to cover for her, huh? No chance. I’m not blind!”

Chen Nan hastily explained, ”I’m telling the truth. She just rejected me. Out of consideration for our classmate relationship, she let me hold her for a bit. It’s really not her fault.”

”Fine, let’s say it’s just as you described,” Lan Yuqin glared at him, tapped a few times on her phone, and demanded, ”Then what about this photo? How do you explain this one?”

Looking at her phone, Chen Nan’s face turned ashen.

The photo was of the previous scene in the classroom where he had kissed Su Qingqing. Chen Nan just felt his tongue stiffen, stuttering, ”This... that...”

”What’s this ’brother and sister’ act? You still dare to claim that’s what you are!?”

Lan Yuqin’s face looked extremely unpleasant. Although she had forgotten what happened at that moment, when she was outside the classroom, she took two photos, which she only discovered while flipping through her phone just now.

Even though she herself didn’t know when she had taken those two photos, they were undoubtedly solid evidence, and the date on the photos was this very morning!

Seeing Chen Nan remain silent, Lan Yuqin sneered, ”Argue your case, why don’t you? You like to quibble, right? Now that I have solid proof, go on and argue. Let’s see if you can talk your way out of this one!”

”That... I admit, she and I are definitely not siblings.”

Lan Yuqin immediately jumped in, ”You’re a couple! Right!?”

Chen Nan really didn’t know how to explain.

If he said they weren’t, then the photo of them kissing laid in front of them – how could they kiss if they weren’t a couple? If he said they were, but he and Su Qingqing were really just friends at present.

After pondering for quite a while, Chen Nan said, ”I did have a relationship with her before, but now we’ve already broken up.”

”Such a fake lie, do you think I’m three years old?”

”No, I’m telling the truth,” Chen Nan said earnestly: ”We broke up just this morning, otherwise why would I go after Xinya...”

”Then why did you break up?”

Lan Yuqin felt there was some logic to his words and gradually started to believe him.

Chen Nan sighed, ”It’s all my fault, I fell for Xinya, and Qingqing got angry and broke up with me.”

”Serves you right!”

Lan Yuqin, indignant, pointed at Chen Nan and said, ”You men are all the same, never satisfied with what you have, always desiring more. You’re utterly shameless. For someone as fickle as you are, Qingqing did the right thing by dumping you. She should have dumped you hard!”

Chen Nan was at a loss for words.

He felt that Lan Yuqin must have been heartbroken by a man before; otherwise, she wouldn’t be so agitated.

”Alright, alright, I’m the bad guy, I’m no good. You’ve judged and scolded enough, can I leave now?”

”Since you two have broken up, I won’t hold it against you anymore. But!” Lan Yuqin suddenly pointed at his nose and said, ”You are not allowed to harass Huo Xinya again, got it?”

”Got it, got it.”

Chen Nan nodded and turned around, ready to leave, but—

”Wait!” Lan Yuqin rushed up to stop him, pointing at his nose and said, ”However, you’re too fickle, and as a teacher, I must discipline you properly to prevent you from continuing to harm innocent young girls!”

Chen Nan scratched his head, smiling, ”Are you suggesting you’re going to offer yourself to keep me in line?”

”Go to hell!”

Lan Yuqin bellowed angrily.

She pointed at Chen Nan’s nose, righteously saying, ”You go back and copy out ’Dream of the Red Chamber,’ and hand it to me in a week, or I’ll make your life hell!”

”Keep dreaming!”

Chen Nan didn’t even look back as he strode out.

This woman is absolutely mad, wanting him to copy an entire book of eight hundred thousand words – was this a task for a human?
