School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 528: Chapter 588: I’m the Real Tycoon

It’s no wonder the sales associate was feeling suspicious.

In this jewelry store, they sold genuine luxury goods, with even a simple bracelet costing 70 or 80 thousand yuan, while the necklace that Huo Xinya had been eyeing was tagged with the high price of 500,000 yuan.

500,000 yuan could buy a fairly high-end car, and it was more than enough; for ordinary people, who would spend such unjustifiable money on a necklace that was merely for decoration?

After hesitating for a moment, the sales associate still took Chen Nan’s bank card and went to the cashier.

Seeing the sales associate preparing to swipe the card, Yu Jian couldn’t help but laugh coldly.

In his opinion, Huo Xinya’s boyfriend was obviously nothing more than a poor loser.

This kind of penniless guy, let alone 500,000, might not even be able to come up with 50,000.

With a look of disdain and arms crossed, he sneered at the side, ”Bro, you’re really going to swipe your card, huh? Isn’t that just trying to punch above your weight? If you can really cough up the 500,000 and buy this necklace, I’ll eat it.”

Chen Nan glanced at Yu Jian, looking at him as though he were an idiot, ”You got something wrong in your head? I’m buying a necklace, not to feed you, you idiot. Even if I were raising a Tibetan mastiff, I wouldn’t spend money like that!”

”You!”

Hearing Chen Nan’s words, Yu Jian’s rage soared, his face turning beet red.

How could this son of a bitch be so uncultured? In front of Huo Xinya, he actually dared to call him a dog?

Chen Nan could be unconcerned, but Yu Jian, after glancing at Huo Xinya, didn’t dare to curse openly, fearing it would tarnish his image in front of the beauty.

Yet, he couldn’t swallow the insult.

Dammit, a poor loser, not only competing with him for a woman but also daring to insult him indirectly?

Angered by Chen Nan’s attitude, Yu Jian suddenly stepped quickly up to the cashier, without saying a word, he stuffed his own Black Gold VIP Card forward, ”I’ll take this necklace too, swipe mine first.”

He intended to show Chen Nan with hard proof that a loser is a loser and could never pretend to be something else in front of him.

One was Huaxia Bank’s Black Gold VIP Card, and the other a common postal savings card; after a moment’s hesitation, the cashier, dressed in urban fashion, still took Yu Jian’s bank card, swiped it in the POS machine, and then respectfully smiled at him, ”Sir, please enter your password.”

In such high-end stores, the computerized POS machines are connected to the banking network. Without altering the default settings, both staff and consumers can directly see the account balance on the card, which allows businesses to verify the amount of the transaction. Of course, most people would ask the bank to turn off this feature at their earliest convenience.

Yu Jian, who enjoyed showing off, would never disable the balance display function.

Putting on an air of nonchalance, he entered his PIN with a ”beep beep beep,” and then, pretending to be casual, he asked, ”How much money is left in my card?”

The seductively attractive cashier looked at the computer screen, and her eyes widened in astonishment.

Trembling as she tore off the receipt, she handed the receipt and the bank card to Yu Jian, ”Sir, your transaction is 500,000 yuan in total. The remaining balance in the card is 7,003,000 yuan. Please sign here.”

This is what being a second-generation rich is all about!

Despite working in this jewelry store and being accustomed to seeing well-dressed big bosses, the actual balance in these people’s accounts often turned out to be very disappointing, with not a few even using overdrafts to pay.

These individuals might indeed be wealthy, but most of their assets are fixed, or they are merely liquid funds.

For someone like Yu Jian, to have over seven million yuan as just pocket money, was incredibly rare.

Not to mention that this Black Gold VIP Card had a credit limit of ten million yuan.

Enjoying the fiery gaze of the attractive sales associate, Yu Jian looked at Chen Nan with arrogance puffing out his chest and scoffed, ”Kid, my dad has a pretty good relationship with Uncle Zhang, the chairman of Huaxia Bank. If you want to switch cards, just ask me. I’ll help you get a Platinum Card. Although it’s not as prestigious as my Black Gold Card, it’s much better than your common postal savings card.”

”Idiot.”

Chen Nan, with zero class, tossed out two words and turned to the cashier, ”Can you swipe my card now?”

Yu Jian’s face turned black with anger, but in front of Huo Xinya, he didn’t dare to exchange insults with Chen Nan. He could only swallow his anger, though he couldn’t help muttering under his breath, ”Damn it, I’ll see how long you can keep this act up.”

Yu Jian couldn’t believe that this guy would be willing to spend 500,000 to buy Huo Xinya a necklace.

Every time he thought about it, his heart was filled with jealous rage, unable to understand why a campus belle like Huo Xinya would take a fancy to such a hick.

At this moment, the beautiful cashier had already passed over the POS machine to Chen Nan, ”Sir, please enter your password.”

After entering the password, the cashier efficiently operated the machine with a few quick clicks.

Just as she was about to tear off the receipt, her eyes suddenly went blank and her face was full of disbelief.

”This...”

A soft exclamation caused the nearby clerks to freeze momentarily before turning to look at her, somewhat puzzled.

”What’s wrong, is it that this guy doesn’t have enough money?” Yu Jian burst out laughing contemptuously and gave Chen Nan a disdainful once-over, ”I said, you all really shouldn’t bother with his kind, can’t you see his loser demeanor, how could he possibly afford to shop here?”

Before he could finish his sentence.

The cashier, now addressing Chen Nan with more respect and even a hint of affection than she had when speaking to him before, said, ”Sir, your transaction is for 500,000 yuan, and the balance in your account is still twenty-seven million three hundred thousand...”

”Crap! You must be seeing things!”

After a moment of stunned silence, Yu Jian’s face flushed red and he began to roar at the cashier, unable to believe his ears.

The amount of money in his own card was just a fraction of the other’s balance?

He felt a burning shame on his face as if he had been slapped several times in public.

”It’s just a bank card, only an idiot would make such a big fuss over it.” Chen Nan glanced at Yu Jian indifferently.

This money had come from extorting Tiger Talisman back from Huang Tian previously.

Although it was dirty money, and Huang Tian wouldn’t dare report it to the police, he felt there was no need to be so noisy about it; it was best to keep a low profile.

”Sir, might I ask for your contact information?”

The cashier, who had been shooting playful glances at Yu Jian just moments ago, now turned her attention to Chen Nan, speaking to him with a shy smile on her face.

However, perhaps realizing that her intention was too obvious, she quickly added an explanation, ”Your spending in our store has reached our diamond customer level, and if you leave your contact information, we can serve you better.”

”Uh...”

Chen Nan touched his nose somewhat awkwardly and said, ”Let’s wait on the contact information. I need to buy some other things...”

No sooner had he finished his sentence than almost all the clerks’ eyes widened.

What was the story with this handsome guy who still wanted to shop after buying a 500,000 yuan necklace?

Several female clerks looking at Huo Xinya felt a twinge of envy, not quite able to express how they felt.

I’m not bad-looking either, why don’t I have such a wealthy boyfriend?
