School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 527: Chapter 587 I Am Her Man

Huo Xinya was somewhat gloomy.

It was supposed to be a relaxing weekend. She wasn’t in the best of moods, so she decided to go out for a stroll and ended up being drawn into this store by the beautiful jewelry displayed after arriving at the pedestrian street.

After all, no woman can resist the lure of jewelry and gems.

However, this was a luxury jewelry store selling high-end pieces, so Huo Xinya was just browsing without any intention of buying anything.

Yet, she hadn’t expected that just upon entering, she would be bothered by this pest.

Yu Jian was not a student at Yutan Middle School, but from another elite high school in Ningjiang.

A few days ago, Huo Xinya, as a representative of Yutan Middle School, had gone to that high school for a competition, and Yu Jian had seen her then. Somehow, he had found out her mobile number and had been calling her ever since.

Even though she had clearly rejected him, Yu Jian acted as if he did not understand her words at all and continued hovering around her.

”Xinya, please don’t refuse, it’s just a small gift. Trust my sincerity.”

”Sincerity? I see no sincerity, only your harassment.”

Before Huo Xinya could reject him again, Chen Nan walked over from the side and positioned himself between her and Yu Jian.

Had it been a usual day when he was in a good mood, he might have teased this self-important pest.

But now, upon seeing Huo Xinya and recalling how she had been avoiding him lately due to his younger sister, Chen Nan’s mood turned gloomy. His annoyance grew especially upon seeing other men around her.

Yu Jian, seeing Chen Nan suddenly intervening, scrutinized him and asked in confusion, ”Who are you?”

Chen Nan didn’t look at Huo Xinya and responded with a cold laugh, ”Her man.”

Hearing this, Huo Xinya bit her lip, her feelings complicated. She couldn’t forget the man before her, nor the day they became lovers. However, he was ultimately her sister’s man and couldn’t be with her or provide any promises.

That was why she had been intentionally avoiding Chen Nan lately.

Yet at this moment, when Chen Nan unilaterally declared himself to be her man, Huo Xinya didn’t know why, but she didn’t speak up to refute him.

Huo Xinya’s man?

Yu Jian was taken aback, and his expression instantly soured.

He knew well that for someone as desirable as Huo Xinya, it was impossible to have no suitors.

However, when Huo Xinya’s ”boyfriend” actually appeared before him, Yu Jian felt a surge of annoyance and jealousy.

If looks could kill, Chen Nan would have died a hundred times over.

Yet, after sizing up Chen Nan for a few moments, he suddenly burst out laughing, ”Dude, this boyfriend of yours seems quite unfit for the job, isn’t he? Xinya has been here for quite some time, and you didn’t think to buy her a gift.”

Before Chen Nan could respond, he scoffed scornfully, ”Of course, even if you wanted to, you probably couldn’t afford it.”

Yu Jian felt so confident because his father was a rich man.

This was evident from the sports car he drove.

With a disdainful laugh, Yu Jian didn’t even look at Chen Nan, pulled out an unusually styled bank card from his pocket, slapped it on the counter in front of him, and turned to Huo Xinya with a smile, ”Xinya, I think this necklace suits you well. How about I ask the staff to show it to you?”

The credit card in his hand was black with gold trim, bearing no design except for the golden letters ”Huaxia Bank.”

Upon seeing this bank card, a sales clerk behind the counter immediately widened her eyes in surprise.

”It’s a VIP card from Huaxia Bank!”

The knowledgeable clerk couldn’t help but whisper to her colleague.

Hearing the clerk’s exclamation, her colleague also became flustered and widened her eyes, ”Is it that legendary card, with a minimum overdraft limit of ten million?”

The jewelry store clerks’ reactions made Yu Jian even more smug, sneering with a superior look as if to say: With your pitiful look, don’t bother trying to impress girls!

But before he could revel in his success, Huo Xinya calmly said, ”No need, I’ve already said, we aren’t familiar. Please don’t bother me and my boyfriend while we’re shopping.”

What?

The goddess in his mind just admitted that this poor-looking loser was her boyfriend?

Yu Jian’s face registered utter disbelief.

His expression turned even uglier.

Staring painfully at Huo Xinya, he questioned resentfully, ”Xinya, do you think someone like him can make you happy? He can’t even buy you the things you like...”

Before he could finish,

Chen Nan suddenly also pulled out a card and handed it over to Yu Jian with a smile, ”Isn’t it just a bank card? Then, do you recognize my card?”

Yu Jian took a closer look. The card was deep green, with ”Huaxia Postal Bank” in small letters in the center, and a UnionPay logo in the top right corner.

”Pfft...”

Not only the sales clerks gathered around but even the usually stoic Huo Xinya couldn’t help but laugh.

Her brother-in-law was simply too funny. Wasn’t that just the most ordinary savings card? Apart from rich second generations, even she, an average student, had a similar bank card from another bank, which she used for online purchases.

Seeing Chen Nan’s bank card, the scorn on Yu Jian’s face became even more evident as he sneered repeatedly at Chen Nan, ”Are you really proud to bring out something like this?”

”Eh, isn’t this a bank card, can’t it be used to buy things?” Chen Nan glanced at him.

Yu Jian couldn’t be bothered to talk to Chen Nan anymore.

He felt that arguing with this man would only lower his own standards.

Chen Nan was even less inclined to argue and simply pointed to the necklace Huo Xinya had been admiring earlier and told the sales clerk with a smile, ”This one is nice, wrap it up for me.”

Upon hearing Chen Nan’s request, the smile on the sales clerk’s face became somewhat stiff, her mind also incredibly conflicted.

You, a mere poor student with the most common of bank cards, aiming to shop in our store?

Would the money in your card even buy a single bead from this necklace?
