School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 525: Chapter 585: Junior Female Disciple Calls

Early the next morning, Chen Nan had just gotten out of bed and stepped out of the villa when his cellphone began to ring.

He took out his phone and saw it was an unfamiliar number.

”Hello, who’s this?”

”Big brother senior brother, it’s me.”

Junior sister!

Chen Nan felt a surge of excitement—this girl had finally bought a phone; before she always used Huo Xinya’s number: ”You little wench, why are you calling me so early in the morning?”

”What, you don’t want me to call you, senior brother big brother?” On the phone, Ye Yiyi’s voice sounded somewhat mischievous as she retorted.

Chen Nan’s originally gloomy mood instantly lightened: ”How could that be? I wish my sweet junior sister would call me every day. Hmm, it’d be even better if someone invented a phone that never ran out of battery.”

”Silly, won’t we be together every day in the future? What do we need that kind of phone for?”

Ye Yiyi let out a gentle laugh and then suddenly asked in return, ”Senior brother big brother, do you want to invent that kind of phone because you don’t want me by your side?”

Chen Nan quickly said, ”How could that be, don’t think nonsense!”

Ye Yiyi smiled sweetly, seemingly very pleased.

However, she didn’t continue the conversation right away but instead fell silent.

Seeing that Ye Yiyi suddenly stopped talking, Chen Nan felt puzzled and promptly asked, ”What’s wrong, Yiyi? Is there something you want to say? Did the Sky Team assign you a very difficult mission?”

The only thing that could make Ye Yiyi hesitate like this, Chen Nan assumed, was the Sky Team.

But Ye Yiyi was silent for a moment before saying, ”Senior brother big brother, did you go to the provincial city last night and eradicate the Divine Sky Sect?”

Chen Nan was stunned, not expecting Ye Yiyi to ask about this incident.

But it made sense—any matter related to him would be of great concern to his little junior sister.

After a long silence, he responded, ”Yeah, what about it?”

Ye Yiyi also stayed silent for a while before saying, ”You... why did you go looking for trouble with the Divine Sky Sect?”

”That...”

Upon hearing this question, Chen Nan felt stuck and didn’t know how to respond appropriately.

”I heard that you went after the Divine Sky Sect because of a woman named Li Xiao, is that true?” Ye Yiyi continued to inquire.

Sweat droplets trickled down Chen Nan’s forehead.

He hadn’t anticipated the consequence of his little junior sister joining the Sky Team—now even his every move was accessible through the intelligence network of the Sky Team.

Ye Yiyi was still waiting for his answer, but he was fated not to tell her the truth.

After a quick reflection, Chen Nan braced himself and said, ”Indeed, that’s the case, but that Li Xiao is my friend. I couldn’t just stand by and see my friend being bullied or even kidnapped, could I?”

After receiving Chen Nan’s answer, Ye Yiyi still harbored some doubts; however, her unconditional trust in Chen Nan made her believe his words once more.

”So that’s what it was. At first, I thought big brother senior brother liked that Li Xiao, and that’s why you were in a hurry to avenge her... I wrongly accused you, please don’t be mad at me, okay?”

Towards the end, Ye Yiyi chuckled playfully.

Chen Nan, on the other hand, already felt immense guilt.

His junior sister trusted him so much, believing his lies without question, while he, on the other hand, didn’t even have the courage to tell her the truth after secretly seeing someone else on the side.

Chen Nan suddenly felt like a failure.

As a boyfriend, he had wronged his junior sister; as a lover, he had wronged Li Xiao...

Yiyi, I’m sorry!

Chen Nan guiltily punched himself in the chest and declared, ”I swear, I will never be mad at you. I wasn’t in the past, and I never will be in the future.”

His junior sister was so good to him. He didn’t have the right, nor a reason, to be mad at her.

”I trust you, senior brother big brother.”

Ye Yiyi smiled sweetly, then as if she remembered something, added, ”Oh right, when clearing out the Divine Sky Sect headquarters, the Sky Team’s investigators found some intelligence. I’ll send it to your phone in a bit.”

”Intelligence from the Divine Sky Sect? Haven’t they been eradicated by me?” Chen Nan was somewhat surprised.

Ye Yiyi shook her head and explained, ”It’s not intelligence about the Divine Sky Sect, but about the martial arts family behind them.”

”Are you talking about that what’s-its-name Ling family?”

...

While Chen Nan and Ye Yiyi were conversing, far away in a secluded and beautiful mountainous area on the outskirts of the provincial city, two majestic elders stood on a ledge halfway up the mountain, seemingly discussing something important.

”Second brother, has it been investigated who raided the Divine Sky Sect headquarters and killed the people of Sky Peak?”

One elder gazed down at the drifting clouds below, appearing calm and collected.

However, the other elder standing behind him could sense the dormant killing aura within his elder brother, like a dragon lurking in the depths.

”It has been investigated, but...”

The elder brother’s brow furrowed slightly, and his expression darkened, ”But what?”

”But it seems that person is the Crown Prince of the Sky Team.”

”Sky Team?” The elder brother sneered coldly, ”If it were someone from Dragon Soul, I’d give them some respect, but some brat from the Sky Team dares to call himself ’Crown Prince’?”

The second brother hesitated for a moment before continuing, ”A mere Sky Team Crown Prince naturally wouldn’t be regarded by our Ling family. However, there seems to be an old monster backing that Sky Team Crown Prince...”

”Old monster, who?”

”The youngsters from the Heavenly Listening Hall haven’t found out yet, but there’s a high possibility that someone is behind him...”

Hearing this, the elder brother pondered for a moment before returning to his nonchalant demeanor, ”If that’s the case, let that kid swagger around for a few days. We’ll leave this matter be for now; but what about the Tiger Talisman? Any news on that?”
