King of the Wilderness

Chapter 465: Chapter 260: Superstar Treatment (Part 2)

A few hours ago, he was still in the wilderness of Alaska, pondering the movements of the wolf pack and the firewood in the cabin.

And now, he found himself in this luxurious palace above the clouds, drinking top-notch champagne, flying towards a new battlefield constructed by capital and fame.

One is the epitome of natural civilization, the other is the epitome of artificial civilization.

This extreme comfort and luxury seemed like a silent declaration, reminding him that what he signed with CAA was not just a contract, but a ticket to the pinnacle of the world. Behind this ticket were countless games of rules and challenges.

He gently swirled the wine glass, looking at the golden liquid inside, took a sip, the cold liquor gliding over his tongue, the lively bubbles bursting instantly in his mouth, yet disappearing in a flash.

Next came a bright and crisp acidity that instantly awakened all his taste buds. When he swallowed the liquor, a lingering aftertaste with citrus and almond flavors slowly emerged in his throat.

After tasting, Lin Yu’an leaned against the soft seat, watching the fast-ebbing night scenery outside the window, making that sense of unreality in his heart surge once again.

He remembered a few days ago, how he was still in a tug-of-war with Old Mao over an exclusive contract with Bilibili and the brand ambassador title for Archaeopteryx.

And now, just because he signed a contract with CAA, Scooter Braun made just a few calls.

Rolls-Royce chauffeur service, the penthouse suite of a five-star hotel, a personal helicopter from the luxury empire, the world’s top resources began to incline towards him automatically, serving him efficiently.

Even though he possessed the greatest secret of the Spatial Golden Finger, he couldn’t help but marvel at how, in the face of a vast commercial system, he still seemed like an individual business with little power.

This is the power of connections, the power of platforms, and this is the fundamental reason he chose to join this game.

About two and a half hours later, this private plane gently landed on the private runway of Vancouver International Airport.

When he walked out of the cabin again, the last trace of confusion in his eyes had faded, replaced by a calm and sharpness, as if about to enter the battlefield!

Just as he got off the gangway, before he even had a chance to feel the slightly cool air of Canada, CAA had already arranged everything for him.

A jet-black Rolls-Royce Cullinan had already quietly slid into position in front of him.

In the light of the tarmac, its massive body reflected an obsidian-like luster, the giant Parthenon-like grille majestic and cold, the hood’s Spirit of Ecstasy statue seemed to be the emissary leading him into another world.

Its stance there wasn’t like that of a car, more like a dormant steel beast with absolute power.

A straight-backed driver wearing white gloves opened the rear door for him with a steady and elegant motion.

The heavy car door didn’t close with a thud but rather a muffled and solid ”klunk” sound, as if a bank vault was locking.

All the outside noise was instantly isolated, leaving only the utmost tranquility inside the car.

The warm air inside the car was filled with the scent of high-grade leather mixed with faint wood notes, the hand-stitched ivory leather seats perfectly enveloped his body with their touch and support.

On a built-in small bar, a glass of Scotch whiskey with a single large square ice cube sat quietly awaiting him, the amber liquid reflecting a charming light under the soft starlit ambient lighting. ℴℴ𝘮

The driver reported the itinerary in a calm, almost mechanical tone, as if announcing weather forecasts rather than an astonishing agenda.

”We are now heading to your hotel, the penthouse suite of the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel.”

”Tomorrow morning’s press conference is scheduled for ten o’clock. At nine o’clock sharp, LVMH Group’s helicopter will pick you up from the hotel’s helipad to head to the Ancestor Bird Headquarters.”

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan glided smoothly out of the airport, like a ghost ship sailing on a black asphalt road.

Lin Yu’an leaned against the soft seat, watching the city outside transform into a flowing painting of light and shadow.

He felt not as though he was in a car, but as if inside a moving, secluded cocoon, being precisely delivered to the next destination by a powerful yet invisible force.

Finally, the ghost ship silently stopped under the discreet yet luxurious porch of the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel.

Just as the driver opened the car door, the hotel manager, who had been waiting, immediately stepped forward with a perfectly appropriate smile and bowed, ”Good evening, Mr. Lin. Welcome to Vancouver. Your room is ready, please follow me.”

From airplane to car, to hotel, the entire process was seamless, without a second’s wait, without a single redundant word.

This top-tier service machine revolving around him was displaying the power represented by CAA in an undeniable way.

There was no cumbersome front desk registration, Lin Yu’an, under the personal guidance of the manager, took the exclusive elevator straight to the hotel’s highest level—the presidential suite.

This suite was also known as the Rock Star Suite because it had hosted countless world-class rock stars.

When the heavy door opened and the suite’s motion-sensing lights gradually illuminated, Lin Yu’an’s breath involuntarily paused for a moment.

In front of him was a massive space over three hundred square meters, like an aerial villa.

The floor-to-ceiling windows two stories high presented the entire magnificent night view of Vancouver, from the emerald-colored silhouette of Stanley Park to the shimmering waves of Burrard Inlet, and onwards to the majestic silhouette of the coastal mountains in the distance, all without reservation before him.

The room’s design was the epitome of modern luxury, with a Fazioli grand piano custom-placed in the living room and an Andy Warhol original hanging on the wall.

On the second floor terrace, there was even a private fire pit and hot tub.

”Your luggage has been delivered, and there is 24-hour private butler service in the room for any needs you may have.”

After introducing the room, the hotel manager gracefully retreated, leaving Lin Yu’an to enjoy this unparalleled tranquility and luxury alone.

Lin Yu’an did not touch the valuable piano nor did he pay attention to the fine vintage champagnes at the bar.

He simply walked to the enormous floor-to-ceiling window, overlooking the dazzling river of lights below.

He recalled that in Alaska, he saw another river of stars at night.

A river of stars without any light pollution, pure, suspended in a velvet-like night sky.

One in the wilderness, one in the secular world.

One represents absolute nature, the other represents absolute civilization.

And now, he seemed to possess the highest-level passes to both worlds!

He took out his phone and made a video call to his family.

Soon, Aliya and Emily’s concerned and smiling faces appeared on the screen.

”Wow... darling, where are you?” Emily exclaimed, looking at the magnificent night view behind him.

”Vancouver,” Lin Yu’an chuckled, turning the camera so they could see the view of the suite, ”arranged by CAA.”

He looked at the screen showing the warm and rustic cabin he built with his own hands and the luxurious modern space in front of him, a strange and absurd feeling rising in his heart.

After spending a long time with his family, ensuring the children were asleep, he hung up the call.

He poured himself a glass of whiskey and walked to the terrace on the second floor.

The frigid air instantly cleared his luxury-encased, slightly heated head.

He knew this was only the beginning. Tomorrow’s press conference would be the first true battle to test him under the spotlight.

He downed the fiery liquor, feeling it burn all the way down from his throat to his stomach.

Then, he turned and walked back to the palace-like room, lying on the bed soft as clouds, large enough for four people.

A good night’s sleep.
