King of the Wilderness

Over the next two days, they meticulously filled the gaps of the Dragon Bone framework for all partition walls and ceilings with slabs of rock wool.

When the electrical and plumbing lines, along with the insulation, were all wrapped within the framework, it was time to cover them with the skin and seal the gypsum boards.

Lin Yu’an transported stacks of heavy fire-resistant gypsum boards inside the room.

Using a T-shaped professional lifting device, he placed the gypsum board on the rack, then maneuvered the handle, allowing him to easily raise the gypsum board up to the three-meter ceiling alone for positioning.

Cody held an automatic nail-feeding pneumatic screw gun, connected to an air compressor.

The sound of ”da-da-da...” was incessant as screws were quickly and precisely driven into the gypsum board, firmly fixing it onto the Dragon Bone.

After sealing the gypsum boards comes the process of seam treatment and plastering. Lin Yu’an took matters into his own hands, showcasing extraordinary patience.

First, he used a spatula to carefully fill the gaps between the gypsum boards with professional seam filler.

Then, he applied paper seam tape and used the spatula to completely embed the tape into the seam filler, scraping off the excess.

After the first layer dried, he used a wider spatula to apply a thinner layer of topcoat putty, perfectly leveling the seam area to make the wall appear seamless.

Finally, connecting an electric sander with a vacuum function, he meticulously sanded all the walls and ceilings.

White dust was instantly vacuumed away, preventing any significant pollution.

He only paused when all the walls and ceilings felt silky smooth to the touch.

After handling all the interior walls, Lin Yu’an took out his set of high-pressure airless sprayer.

He poured the environmentally friendly off-white latex paint chosen by Aliya into the machine and began spraying the ceiling and most wall surfaces.

Within a day, the entire interior was transformed from a bleak construction site to a bright, clean, and modern space.

In the first-floor living room and second-floor activity room, contrasting with the gypsum board walls, he installed spruce solid wood panels to complement the exterior’s rustic style.

With the wall work completed, the project moved into the final, most visually impactful stage of fine decoration.

Lin Yu’an and Cody were responsible for laying large areas of lock-style oak composite flooring.

First, they laid down a layer of sound-dampening pad with moisture-resistant features, then began from the corner of the room.

The flooring was seamlessly connected at a specific angle with a ”click,” almost without the need for any glue.

George’s hired hand, Eli, showcased his true craftsmanship as a carpenter.

He was in charge of installing the kitchen and all wardrobes. He opened the massive packages, moving out heavy pieces of solid wood cabinetry.

Without using any pneumatic tools, he relied on a level and a chalk line to perform precise measurements and adjustments on his workbench.

With a long hand plane, he crafted a perfect arc at the junction between the cabinets and uneven wooden walls to ensure a seamless installation.

Every cabinet door was fitted with precision damped hinges, which he adjusted repeatedly until they closed quietly and smoothly.

At the same time, Lin Yu’an and Cody were busy installing both soft and hard furnishings.

Together, they lifted the massive freestanding bathtub into the master bedroom’s bathroom, connecting it to the reserved pipes for hot and cold water and drainage.

The toilet, sink, and shower head were also installed perfectly by them.

Every bed, from the largest to the smallest, even the crib, was fully installed.

After another two weeks of intense collaboration, when Eli mounted the last wardrobe door, the home’s interior decoration was declared complete!

Thirty days had flown by.

This was no longer an empty, rough wooden shell but a truly meaningful, warm, and refined home.

Bright lighting, smooth flooring, cabinets with a woody fragrance, and the massive stone fireplace that had long been the living room’s centerpiece.
