”I believe he will understand. We can definitely adjust your filming schedule to leave a fifty-day gap for you.”

”As long as this ’championship battle’ comes together, he will be willing to give us the green light!”

With the biggest concern resolved, Lin Yu’an’s mind was completely set at ease, and he went on to present his core demands.

”Mark, since it’s a championship battle, I don’t want to play house with a bunch of rookies.”

Lin Yu’an’s tone became more formal: ”I definitely don’t want there to be someone among the six who quits after crying homesick in just 8 days.”

”If that’s the level we’re talking, it’s not a challenge for me; it’s an insult! I hope you understand.”

”I understand! I totally understand!” Mark immediately responded.

”That’s precisely why I need you on board! I assure you, we will match you with the toughest opponents!”

Lin Yu’an mentioned a name: ”Klay from season eight. I hope you can invite him, I admire his capabilities.”

”He is a top-notch archer, just a bit unlucky, but definitely has the potential to win the championship.”

”I hope to have a fair match with him in the wilderness again!”

”As for the others, you can arrange them as you see fit, but I hope you ensure their average level of competence.”

Mark agreed enthusiastically: ”No problem! Lin, your suggestion is terrific! We’ll reach out to Klay immediately!”

In the evening, Mark called again, bringing both good and bad news.

”Lin, I’m sorry to inform you, Klay turned down our invitation.” Mark’s tone was filled with regret.

”We talked to him for a long time, but he said that the experience of season eight left him physically and mentally exhausted, and he doesn’t want to go through that feeling again, it was too extreme.”

”And when he heard that you’re competing and actively invited him, he refused even more strongly, saying you’re a mix of strength and luck, and he looks forward to being teammates rather than opponents.”

Lin was a bit surprised at this, but he could understand Klay’s decision.

”However,” Mark shifted his tone.

”We’ve found you another equally strong opponent, a true female warrior — the runner-up of season six, Vonia Thibault, and she accepted the invitation!”

Vonia! That name instantly made Lin Yu’an’s eyes light up.

Of course, he remembered her, the woman who lived alone for 73 days on the edge of the Arctic Circle, her toughness and creativity commanded everyone’s respect.

Lin Yu’an succinctly said, ”Great. With Vonia around, this battle will truly be worthwhile.”

”Fantastic!” Mark’s voice sounded like he’d just sealed a massive deal.

”So, Lin, the final detail: our broadcast timeline is set for November 3rd. This means the moment you land, you’ll face Labrador’s early winter.”

”Temperatures will drop rapidly, and snow could fall at any moment, leaving you with no adjustment period as you directly enter the ’Frozen Throne’ survival mode!”

”I’m good with that.”

”Oh, by the way, Lin, the show is currently in a confidential stage, so we hope you can help keep it under wraps.”

”The production cycle for this show might be quite lengthy, it won’t be as quick as the main ’Alone in the Wilderness’ series.”

”So you should have a psychological expectation regarding the broadcast time; barring any surprises, it might not air until next May at the earliest.”

Lin Yu’an was silent for a while, then said, ”I understand, Mark, but I need to stress again, no scripts, and this needs to be clearly stated in the contract.”

”Of course, Lin, this spin-off is absolutely script-free! Rest assured!”

The two exchanged a few pleasantries to finalize the collaboration details, then ended the call.

Lin Yu’an agreed to Mark’s invitation, but he still needed to inform Aliya of his decision.

He opened his laptop and skillfully connected to the Starlink network provided by the white plate antenna on the roof.

He launched the video call software and dialed Aliya’s number.

In almost no time, the call connected.

Aliya’s face, with a gentle smile, immediately appeared on the screen.

Thanks to the high-speed and stable Starlink network, the image showed no delay or lag, as if she were sitting right across from him.

”Hi, darling.”

Aliya’s voice came through the computer, clear and warm, without any noise. Her background was the bright afternoon sunlight of Montana.

”Hi.” Lin Yu’an also showed a soft smile on his face.

He picked up the laptop and adjusted the angle to fully display the wooden house bathed in the glow of the sunset behind him to her.

”Look at our home, it grows every day.”

”Wow! It looks amazing! The color of the wood is so beautiful in the sunset.”

Aliya on the screen let out a heartfelt exclamation, drawing closer to the screen, where the high-definition quality allowed her to clearly see the beautiful grain on the timber.

”It’s still waiting for its mistress to arrive.” Lin Yu’an’s words of affection flowed out unconsciously, yet were completely sincere.

Aliya’s cheeks reddened slightly, and her eyes gleamed with a joyful light.

”Speaking of which, you’ll never guess what I was doing this afternoon! Look!”

She deftly operated her phone to share her screen with Lin Yu’an’s computer, which promptly displayed an exceptionally professional and exquisite 3D interior design rendering.

”Ta-da~ I spent a long time communicating with the designer and finally settled on the final blueprint for our home!”
