Chapter 2766: Chapter 2766: Interrogation Part One

”Oh?” Yu Qi tilted her masked head slightly. ”And what exactly makes your Lee Family so special?”

”The Lee Family is far nobler than ordinary families. That is why we can do whatever we want.” Richard Lee answered arrogantly.

His expression remained blank, yet every word that left his mouth carried absolute conviction, as though what he had just said was the most natural truth in the world.

Yu Qi stared at him silently for several long seconds before letting out another faint laugh.

”What a... wonderfully twisted way of thinking.” Yu Qi said, her voice dropping into an icy, mocking tone.

”Everything can be a business.” Richard Lee stated, his mind completely exposed by the serum as he laid bare his cold corporate philosophy.

”Oh?” Yu Qi crossed her arms over her chest. ”Since everything is a business to you, tell me... how exactly do you deliver the human test subjects to the MicroTech Organisation?”

”We never send them directly.” Richard Lee shook his head.

”Explain the logistics.” Yu Qi narrowed her eyes beneath the mask.

”We first gather enough test subjects inside our private warehouses.” Richard Lee explained with eerie precision. ”Once the required quota has been reached, they are transferred to one of our logistics companies operating under a different business name. They are then mixed together with ordinary export cargo before being transported directly to the harbour.”

”So, no one at the docks would ever suspect anything is amiss?” Yu Qi asked, her voice dangerously quiet.

”Correct.” Richard Lee nodded calmly.

”What specific logistics company do you use for these transfers?” Yu Qi pressed.

”Blue Horizon Logistics.” Richard Lee answered without hesitation.

”What route do you normally use?” Yu Qi asked again.

”The containers leave Newark West Harbour and travel to Port Alden first.” Richard Lee continued, the truth serum forcing every detail out. ”After passing customs clearance, the cargo is transferred onto another vessel registered under a different parent company before continuing toward Blackstone Island.”

”Blackstone Island?” Yu Qi frowned.

”That is only the official destination listed on the forged shipping documents.” Richard Lee stated.

”And the real destination?” Yu Qi leaned forward, her presence imposing.

”The cargo is redirected approximately forty nautical miles away to a privately owned, heavily fortified island controlled by the MicroTech Organisation. That island does not appear on ordinary, public shipping maps.” Richard Lee answered smoothly.

Long Hui’s expression immediately darkened, his jaw tightening under the black leopard mask.

”How often do you ship these living subjects?” Long Hui chimed in, his deep baritone cutting through the room.

”Normally once every two months. However, if enough test subjects are collected earlier than scheduled, the shipment leaves immediately.” Richard Lee stated.

”How do you communicate with the MicroTech Organisation without raising flags?” Yu Qi continued her interrogation.

”We never mention humans or individuals during any form of communication.” Richard Lee stated flatly.

”Oh? What code words do you use?” Yu Qi asked, her interest piqued.

”Adult men are referred to as Type-A Samples. Adult women are referred to as Type-B Samples. Children are called Small Specimens. Babies are called Special Cargo. When referring to everyone collectively in the manifests, we simply call them Laboratory Animals.” Richard Lee answered, systematically revealing every single secret designation.

Yu Qi’s eyes turned lethal beneath the rabbit mask, her aura chilling the air.

”How does the MicroTech Organisation process payments to your family?” Yu Qi asked again.

”They never use ordinary, traceable bank transfers.” Richard Lee stated.

”What do they use instead?” Long Hui demanded.

”Cryptocurrency.” Richard Lee answered immediately.

”Which specific cryptocurrency?” Yu Qi narrowed her eyes.

”Monero.” Richard Lee mentioned the single word.

”Why Monero?” Yu Qi asked.

”It is an anonymity-focused token, making it infinitely harder to trace.” Richard Lee explained, a hint of smug arrogance bleeding through his flat tone.

”Is cryptocurrency the only payment method?” Long Hui pressed further.

”No. Part of the multi-million dollar payment is disguised as official pharmaceutical research grants. Several shell companies transfer the remaining funds directly into our untraceable overseas accounts.” Richard Lee slowly shook his head.

”Which shell companies?” Yu Qi demanded.

Without leaving out a single detail, Richard Lee immediately recited every shell company’s corporate name, registration number, and specific country of incorporation.

Yu Qi silently memorised every piece of financial data.

”Who has been receiving the shipments on their end after Edward Potter disappeared?” Yu Qi asked, pivoting to the organisation’s structure.

”There is another executive in charge now.” Richard Lee stated.

”Who?” Long Hui stepped closer to hear the name.

”Hector Vaughn.” Richard Lee said the name plainly.

”What is his exact position within their hierarchy?” Long Hui asked.

”He is the Director of External Procurement for the MicroTech Organisation.” Richard Lee revealed.

”How do you contact him directly?” Yu Qi asked.

”Through an encrypted, satellite-based communication application.” Richard Lee answered.

”How do both sides verify each other’s identities before a transfer?” Yu Qi asked.

”The sender initiates the prompt by saying, ’The laboratory requires fresh samples.’” Richard Lee answered immediately.

”And the required countersign?” Long Hui asked.

”’The cages are prepared.’” Richard Lee stated coldly.

”What happens after that exchange?” Yu Qi asked.

”The physical shipment proceeds immediately.” Richard Lee said.

Yu Qi and Long Hui exchanged a dark, significant glance beneath their masks. Neither of them had anticipated that the Lee Family’s criminal synergy with the MicroTech Organisation was this deeply entrenched and meticulously organised.

Yu Qi remained silent for a brief moment, letting the weight of the revelation settle, before continuing her interrogation.

”Oh... is business booming these days?” Yu Qi asked, setting a trap.

”Of course.” Richard Lee explained without remorse. ”Currently, we are preparing a massive new batch of test subjects to be sent directly to the organisation.”
