”Shackles of Wind.”

As Evan’s voice echoed through the darkness, Thomas and the others felt as if the surrounding wind had suddenly solidified, heavily binding their bodies.

They tried to move, but to their horror, they found that they couldn’t even lift a finger, much less move their bodies.

Seeing Thomas and the others standing there with stiff bodies, Evan’s lips curved upward slightly.

’It’s really working...’ He thought to himself, feeling excited inwardly.

When he had seen the details of Thunder Field skill earlier, he had gotten the idea of creating a crowd-control ability using his Wind Monarch.

And after thinking about it for a long time and experimenting while keeping watch earlier, he had successfully created Shackles of Wind.

More importantly, this ability could be paired with his Wind Detection ability.

He had been able to kill the Unranked Magical Beast that had entered his detection range earlier.

However, not every creature would be as slow as that Magical Beast.

Once he tried to kill them from a distance after locking onto them using Wind Detection, they would definitely sense the danger and try to move away.

However, if he used Shackles of Wind to restrict their movements, it would become a sure-kill combination.

Elena, who was standing at the side also wore a shocked expression as she watched Thomas and the others stand there with stiff bodies as if they were completely unable to move.

’Just what did he do?’ She shouted inwardly while gulping down her saliva.

Walking forward, Evan came in front of Lucas, whom he had sent flying earlier.

He saw Lucas trying to stand up, but he couldn’t because his body was also restricted by Shackles of Wind.

Blood was slowly flowing from the corner of Lucas’s mouth, and many of his bones were broken.

”I don’t understand where you got the confidence to kill people with this pathetic strength of yours...” Evan said and before Lucas could react—

Bang!

A Wind Bullet struck his left hand, leaving a see-through hole through it.

Lucas’s eyes widened in pain and turned bloodshot, but he still couldn’t even open his mouth to scream.

In his fear, he had even forgotten that Shackles of Wind had only restricted his physical body and that he could still utilize his mana and skills.

Of course, not everyone was as frightened as Lucas, who was currently taking the beating.

Although also shocked, Thomas and the others maintained calm minds and immediately realized that they could still use their skills.

Thomas, James, and David looked at each other and nodded.

Evan actually already knew that they could still use their skills.

However, he didn’t care about it because his main purpose in using Shackles of Wind was to see how effective it truly was.

Thomas and the others were Rank One Evolvers, and the highest level among them was Level 33.

With their strength, these people posed no threat to him as long as he remained careful.

That was why he dared to test his newly created ability against them.

Just as he was assessing the power of Shackles of Wind, Evan felt a slight tremor coming from the ground and immediately moved sideways.

Just as he moved away from his previous location, an earth spike erupted from the ground and shot high into the sky.

Evan glanced toward Thomas and smiled slightly.

”Took you guys long enough to figure it out.”

Because of the sudden attack, Shackles of Wind was undone.

Evan also realized that his control over this ability was still not perfect.

Once he became distracted, even for a brief moment, the ability would stop working.

’Need to practice a bit more...’ He thought before his eyes flashed with coldness.

’If it weren’t because I didn’t want Lia to see some headless human corpses, these people would have already become cold bodies.’

Although Evan had killed some monsters in front of Lia, killing humans was a completely different matter.

She was still ten years old and was far from becoming an Evolver.

She still needed to return home and live like a normal human girl for the upcoming years.

After going back, she could recount the scenes of Evan killing monsters as stories and perhaps aspire to do something similar in the future.

However, things related to killing humans... They were not something she should have to think about for now.

Shaking his head to clear his unnecessary thoughts, Evan looked at Thomas and the others, who had regained control over their bodies.

Lucas, who could move again, also dragged his injured body toward them and came closer to David.

David immediately used his skill on him, and a white light enveloped the injured Lucas, somewhat healing his injuries.

’A healing skill...’ Evan raised an eyebrow when he saw this.

”Now!” Suddenly, Thomas shouted and charged toward him.

At the same time, James, who was standing behind him, suddenly disappeared as if he had never been there in the first place.

Even Lucas, despite being injured, made a move and a magic circle appeared beside him.

From the magic circle, two Magical Beasts emerged.

One was a large bear, while the other was a strange black bird with an eagle-like head.

The bear was a Level 28 Rank One Magical Beast, while the eagle-like bird was a Level 25 Unranked Magical Beast.

Evan’s eyes narrowed slightly when he saw this, and he guessed that Lucas’s job class might be related to summoning.

Moreover, he also noticed that all four of them formed a balanced party.

David was a healer.

Lucas was a summoner.

Thomas was both a tank and an attacker.

And James, who had disappeared, was an assassin.

Although surprised, Evan didn’t think too highly of them.

From the corner of his eye, he saw Elena about to come over to help him, so he said lightly,

”You don’t need to get involved.”

Elena was stunned when she heard Evan’s words.

However, before she could say anything, her eyes widened the next second.

Evan suddenly took a step forward.

Thomas and the Rank One Bear, who were charging toward him, only saw a blur before Evan’s figure disappeared.

”What?!” Thomas was stunned by Evan’s monstrous speed and felt a chill run down his spine.

”Arghh!”

A painful scream suddenly reached his ears and Thomas immediately turned around.

The moment he looked back, another chill ran down his spine as he saw David lying on the ground and screaming in pain, with both of his legs broken.

Before Thomas could even recover from his shock, Evan’s figure disappeared once again.

By the time Thomas reacted—

”Arghh!” He heard Lucas scream.

When Thomas looked toward him, he saw that Lucas was also in the same condition as David, with both of his legs broken.

”What kind of monster is this guy...?” Thomas felt goosebumps rise all over his body and without any hesitation, he turned around and tried to run away.

When Evan appeared in front of Lucas, his summoned Magical Beasts instantly reacted and moved toward him to protect their master.

The eagle-like black bird was the first to move. However, Evan didn’t even bother looking at it.

Just as the bird was about to reach him, a Wind Bullet suddenly appeared in front of it and shot straight through its head, killing it instantly.

Lucas, who was still screaming in pain because of his broken legs, suddenly coughed out a mouthful of blood because one of his summons had been killed.

However, Evan didn’t stop there and immediately appeared in front of the Rank One Bear.

”Sky Fall!”

His fist, enveloped in golden light struck the charging bear’s head before it could even react and the next second—

Bang!

Blood and brain matter splashed everywhere as the bear’s head exploded like a watermelon.

Not even three seconds had passed since Evan made his move, yet two of the four people were already out of the battle.
