World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch

Inside a large hall, a person lay on the ground without moving.

His entire body was riddled with injuries, and his face was covered in dried blood. Beside him lay the scattered bones of a black skeleton, looking extremely eerie under the dim light of the hall.

Suddenly, the fingers of the person lying on the ground twitched slightly.

Evan slowly opened his eyes, and a look of confusion flashed within them.

He looked at his surroundings, trying to figure out where he was, but his vision was still blurry, making it difficult for him to see anything clearly.

He tried to stand up, but the moment he moved his body, severe pain assaulted every nerve in his body.

”Hiss!”

Evan hissed in pain, and the confusion in his eyes immediately cleared up.

Remembering the Colossal Skeleton General, his expression changed slightly.

”What happened to that guy?” He muttered to himself and sat up with difficulty.

Evan quickly looked around, and when he saw the broken skeleton lying near him, he was stunned at first, but soon, a smile appeared on his face.

”So my headbutt really did the trick.”

He said this while rubbing his head.

The wound on his forehead had already closed because of his high Health stat, but the bones in his fist were still fractured because of using Sky Fall.

Not only that, he still couldn’t move properly because of the backlash he had received from using Shockwave Severance and Sky Fall one after another without Mana.

’It will probably take at least two or three days for me to completely recover from the backlash.’

Evan thought while taking out a healing potion from his Storage Ring.

However, he couldn’t even open the lid of the bottle because he felt pain just from moving his hand.

Suddenly, he remembered something and chuckled.

”Now that I have already conquered the dungeon, I can use Mana again.”

Evan muttered and used his Wind Monarch skill to lift the bottle of the potion and open its lid.

Then, with the help of his skill, he brought the potion toward his mouth and drank it.

A refreshing feeling immediately spread throughout his body as the potion began healing his injuries.

As his injuries began to heal, he finally had time to pay attention to other things.

”I completed all of my evolution requirements, so why am I still at Level 25?”

Evan opened his status window and was immediately flooded with numerous notifications.

[You have defeated the Colossal Skeleton General and conquered the dungeon.]

[You are the first person in history to conquer the Skeleton Graveyard without using Mana while being at an unranked level. Your name is now etched into the history of the Skeleton Graveyard Dungeon.]

[You have received the title ’Conqueror’.]

Evan was surprised when he saw that he had received another title so soon.

”Why are the names of all my titles so... violent?”

He couldn’t help but say as he thought about the names of his titles.

One was Slayer, while the other was Conqueror. Both of these titles screamed of violence.

Although he felt strange about their names, he was only complaining on the surface and immediately looked at the details of the new title.

---) Conqueror: While fighting inside a dungeon, you will receive a 10% boost to all your stats, and there is a high chance of obtaining high-level treasure while exploring the dungeon.

After reading the effect of the title, Evan’s eyes instantly lit up.

”This title not only increases my strength while inside a dungeon, but also increases the possibility of obtaining something good as a reward.”

Recalling how he had only gotten one skill after killing so many monsters earlier, he felt that if he had possessed this title before, he might have been able to obtain many good things.

Shaking his head, he put away his stray thoughts and looked at the next notification.

[You have acquired a new skill ’Headbutt’.]

Evan opened his mouth to say something, but he didn’t know what to say after seeing this.

”What kind of skill name is this? Is this a scam?”

He couldn’t help but say before looking at its details.

And after reading the skill’s details, he became even more speechless.

---) Headbutt: Only those who have shattered the skull of their enemy with a headbutt have a chance of acquiring this skill. When you use Headbutt, there is a 5% chance that your enemy will become dazed for 3 seconds.

(This skill is at its maximum level and cannot evolve.)

====

Evan turned his head and looked at the broken skull of the black skeleton.

He didn’t know how much damage Sky Fall had caused to the skeleton’s skull, but it seemed that after being struck by his Sky Fall-enhanced fist, the skeleton’s skull had become so weak that even his headbutt was enough to completely destroy it.

”Although this skill has a rather weird name, its effect is quite good.”

Evan shook his head with a smile.

A three-second daze could save his life if its effect was triggered at the right moment.

Looking down, he saw more notifications.

[For conquering the dungeon, you have received the following rewards:

1. Mind Pendant

2. Devourer Stone

3. Orc Dungeon Parchment]

”Three rewards...”

A look of surprise appeared on Evan’s face as from what he knew, most of the time, people only received a single reward for conquering a dungeon.

Of course, this reward didn’t include the things that monsters dropped inside the dungeon.

Suppressing his excitement, he quickly looked at the details of the items he had received.

He first looked at the Mind Pendant.

A beautiful blue pendant with a star-shaped design appeared in his hand. A small light-blue stone was embedded at the center of the star.

---) Mind Pendant (Uncommon Grade): A pendant made from a Mind Calming Stone. It calms the mind of its wearer and increases their mental defense. After wearing it, Mana +30.

Evan was surprised after seeing the effects of the Mind Pendant.

Artifacts that affected the mind were extremely rare, and their price was two or three times higher than other artifacts of the same level.

If Evan had possessed this Mind Pendant before, he wouldn’t have been affected by the Giant Bear’s Spiritual Skill in the Dark Forest.

Without wasting any time, Evan quickly wore it.

Instantly, a refreshing sensation spread through his mind, and his thoughts became much clearer.

Evan felt the effect of the Mind Pendant and was very satisfied with it.

His Mana had also increased by thirty points.

After looking at the Mind Pendant, Evan looked at the second reward, the Devourer Stone.

A strange black stone appeared in Evan’s hand.

It was about the size of his palm, and dark black smoke constantly seeped from its surface, making the stone look extremely sinister.

Evan raised an eyebrow when he saw its appearance and immediately checked its details.

---) Devourer Stone (Rare Grade): A rare stone that can grant an item the ability to devour other items similar to itself and increase its own rank. This Devourer Stone can only be used on Unranked or lower-grade artifacts.
