The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 138: Chapter 138: Our Own House

When Yiyi and Mo Ping arrived at the courtyard house, its owner, Ge Dongliang, happened to be there.

”Are you here to see the house?” Ge Dongliang looked directly at Mo Ping, thinking he was the decision-maker.

”Yes, we’re here to see the house.”

Yiyi said with a smile.

Only then did Ge Dongliang look at Yiyi, noticing what he previously overlooked, realizing Mo Ping was following behind Yiyi.

Thinking of this, he couldn’t help but glance at Yiyi and found that this young girl before him was really pretty, ”Let me take you around now.”

”Sure.”

While speaking, Yiyi and Mo Ping followed Ge Dongliang around the entire courtyard, and the more Yiyi looked, the more satisfied she became.

This courtyard house not only had a good layout but was also exquisitely decorated. It was clear that the Ge family must have been a prominent family.

”Mr. Ge, how much do you plan to sell this courtyard for?”

Seeing that Yiyi was interested in buying the house, Ge Dongliang got straight to the point, ”If you can pay fifty thousand all at once, the house is yours.”

Hearing the price, Yiyi realized the house was quite cheap, considering its large size.

”Mr. Ge, let’s make a deal. I’ll give you a deposit first, and I’ll go get the money right now.” Yiyi said as she handed over ten thousand she brought to Ge Dongliang.

Seeing Yiyi so straightforward, Ge Dongliang quickly smiled and said, ”Alright, let’s draft the agreement now to avoid any misunderstandings later.”

Seeing Ge Dongliang handling things so methodically, Yiyi couldn’t help but nod.

After carefully reviewing the agreement, Yiyi found it to be well-drafted and fair to both parties, so she signed it graciously.

Ge Dongliang was also very happy.

”You’re an honest young lady. Previous visitors, knowing I was eager to sell, tried to haggle the price down, but you paid straight away. But don’t worry, I gave you the lowest price because of your straightforwardness.”

Upon hearing this, Yiyi laughed and said, ”Mr. Ge, don’t worry, I understand. If you were really selling, this courtyard would definitely be worth more than fifty thousand. Since you’re sincere in selling, I’m sincere in buying.”

”Hahaha... You are a good girl. Since that’s the case, all the furniture in the courtyard is yours, too.”

Originally, the furniture wasn’t included when selling the house. Now, Ge Dongliang genuinely liked Yiyi’s character, so he gave her the furniture as well.

Upon hearing this, Yiyi thanked him again and then immediately went to get the money.

Gathering fifty thousand was quite a struggle, as the money the pharmacy made recently wasn’t enough. Yiyi had to ask Ding Yuejun to withdraw the money from selling qipaos and savings in the bank to barely make it, so she went home to inform her mother, Ding Yuejun, first.

Initially, Ding Yuejun was reluctant since it was all their family assets.

”Mom, the house is really good. Even if we don’t open a clothing store, we can live in it. Our current yard is rented, and we don’t own a house, so buying one is necessary.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun finally stopped feeling distressed. After all, not owning a house always felt a bit insecure. So she quickly said, ”If that’s the case, go get the money and settle it.”

After Yiyi fetched the money, she immediately went to meet Ge Dongliang.

”Mr. Ge, here’s the remaining forty thousand.”

After receiving the money, Ge Dongliang quickly took out the land deed and then took Yiyi to relevant agencies to complete the paperwork.

Looking at the land deed in her hand, Yiyi smiled broadly, as they finally had their own house.

Once the house matters were settled, Yiyi hurried home to share the good news with her mother.

Upon hearing it, Ding Yuejun was also very happy and quickly said, ”Yiyi, starting tomorrow, I’ll go over there to clean. Whether we live there or open a clothing store, it’s a nice place.”

”Mom, why don’t we live there directly instead? This small yard is enough for a clothing store. We just need a workspace for the sewing machine and a showroom for sample clothes. Besides, we’re opening a high-end custom clothing store, so we don’t need a location on a busy street. As long as we build a reputation slowly, customers will come for custom orders, so the shop’s location doesn’t really matter.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun smiled and nodded, ”Alright, we’ll live in the courtyard, and this place will be the clothing store.”

On the next day, after bringing Ding Yuejun to the courtyard, Yiyi hurried to school since registration was happening today.

Fei Erya hadn’t seen Yiyi for a while, and upon seeing her, enthusiastically waved, ”Yiyi, over here.”

Yiyi was also very happy to see Fei Erya, and after sitting down, she asked about her recent situation.

Talking about the New Year, Fei Erya’s smile faded slightly, but she didn’t say much, just mentioning, ”It was lively.”

Seeing Fei Erya’s expression, Yiyi knew she mustn’t have had a good time at home, but since Fei Erya wasn’t planning to say more, Yiyi didn’t press further.

The homeroom teacher, Yao Hailai, arrived quickly. His speech at the beginning of the new semester was similar to last semester’s, and he ended by letting the class monitor distribute new books after a few encouraging words, allowing the students to go home for now.

However, at the end, he turned around and said,

”Students, this is your last semester of high school. You must work harder. Whether you get into college depends on you.” After saying this, Yao Hailai left.

Yiyi silently encouraged herself, knowing she needed to work even harder this semester to feel at ease about getting into college.

”Yiyi, I’ll head home today. Starting next Monday, when formal classes begin, I’ll go home with you in the evenings again.”

The home Fei Erya referred to was Yiyi’s home.

Hearing this, Yiyi nodded with a smile, ”Okay.” Finally, she sincerely added, ”Erya, thank you so much. Without you, I wouldn’t have improved my grades so quickly.”

”What are you talking about? I should be thanking you. Tutoring you helped me reinforce my foundational knowledge, improving my own grades compared to before. We’re mutually helping each other.”

Sitting in the front, Le Ping couldn’t help but turn around and glare at them, ”Hmph... Who knows what scores you’ll get on the college entrance exam, yet you’re praising each other already.”

Yiyi and Fei Erya ignored Le Ping, packed their bags, and left together.

Seeing them ignoring her, Le Ping stomped her foot in anger.

But Yiyi didn’t go home; she went directly to the courtyard house and found her mother still cleaning there.

”Mom, let me help you.”
