The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 131: Chapter 131: Conflict

Yiyi heard this but merely smiled without saying a word, then urged Wu Yongcai, ”Boss Wu, you’d better take a good look at these two qipaos. If there are no issues, we’ll deliver them right away.”

Wu Yongcai hurriedly smiled and said, ”Alright, alright, I’ll take a look at the qipaos now. You two sit down and have some tea first.”

At this time, Yue Jun had already taken out the two qipaos and neatly laid them on the table.

When Wu Yongcai saw them, his pace quickened significantly. He circled around the qipaos and finally exclaimed with amazement, ”Oh my, the embroidery is exquisite, these qipaos are stunning, truly stunning.”

Seeing Wu Yongcai’s satisfied expression, Yue Jun couldn’t help but smile, ”As long as Boss Wu likes them.”

”Like them? Of course I like them. It’s hard to find such beautifully crafted qipaos nowadays.” Wu Yongcai was being sincere; he hadn’t seen qipaos with such meticulous craftsmanship in ages. The embroidery was at a master level. Now, he was even more attentive to Yue Jun and her daughter, and even actively offered to increase the price.

”Thank you very much, Boss Wu.”

Yiyi also thought her mother had worked hard on these two qipaos, and at the moment, seeing how considerate Wu Yongcai was, she felt much more positive about him.

However, Yue Jun felt that suddenly raising the initially agreed-upon price wasn’t quite right and declined a few times.

But Wu Yongcai, considering that Yiyi and the others knew Fang Cheng, and these two qipaos were genuinely exquisite and beautiful, naturally paid Yue Jun the appropriate price, ”Master Ding, this money is rightfully yours, it’s worthy of your craftsmanship.”

Seeing Wu Yongcai insist, Yue Jun said no more and finally accepted the five thousand yuan.

”Yiyi, it’s the first time Mom has earned so much money, I can’t believe just two qipaos could be worth this much.” Yue Jun still couldn’t quite believe it; this much money could buy a lot of things.

Seeing her mother’s expression, Yiyi couldn’t help but smile, ”Mom, that’s because your craftsmanship is worth it.”

Seeing her daughter’s smile, Yue Jun finally snapped out of it, then waved her hand grandly, ”Come on, Yiyi, I’ll take you shopping for clothes. The malls in Shangjing must be bigger and have more clothes, I’ll buy you two more outfits, and also something for Xiao Hong and Shanshan.”

”Alright.”

Seeing how happy her mother was, Yiyi naturally nodded with a smile.

The two quickly arrived at the center of Shangjing, where malls lined the streets, filled with an overwhelming variety of goods that dazzled the mother and daughter. Finally, Yue Jun led Yiyi into the tallest mall, ”Yiyi, let’s buy clothes here.” With that, they headed straight to the women’s clothing floor.

”Yiyi, this coat looks nice; try it on. Young girls should wear brighter colors.”

Yue Jun picked up a long red woolen coat for Yiyi to try.

Yiyi found the coat’s design fresh and elegant, and thought it looked good, so she smiled and nodded, trying it on immediately.

”Yiyi, it looks really good on you.”

Looking at her daughter in the coat, Yue Jun suddenly felt that her daughter had grown up. Yiyi had grown much taller now, and her complexion had become as fair as jade, she was a proper young lady now.

Yiyi also felt she looked quite good when she saw herself in the mirror.

”Yiyi, let’s get this one then.”

”Alright.”

Once Yiyi had changed out of the coat, she handed it to the store clerk to wrap it up.

However, just as the clerk was about to bag the coat, two women entered the store. They were quite interested when they saw the red woolen coat in the clerk’s hands.

”Let me try this coat.”

”Sorry, these ladies have already chosen it.” The clerk pointed to Yiyi and her mother as she spoke.

Upon hearing this, the woman in the black wool coat who hadn’t spoken yet appeared displeased, glancing at Yiyi and her mother, she said, ”Have they paid yet?”

”Not yet.”

Upon hearing this, the woman continued, ”Since they haven’t paid, it’s still the store’s merchandise, why shouldn’t we be able to try it?”

”Xiao Chan, just forget it, I’ll look at other clothes.”

The woman in the pink coat who spoke first tugged on her companion’s coat and whispered.

Xiao Chan spoke coldly, ”Forget it? You’ve hardly found a coat you like, of course, you should try it on. Besides, they haven’t paid yet.”

Just then, the store manager came over, and when she saw the two women, she hurried over with a smile, ”Miss Fang, Miss Shui, it’s you two. Our store has a lot of new clothes in; if you see anything you like, feel free to try it on.”

Upon hearing this, Yiyi couldn’t help but raise her eyebrows. It seemed these two women held some status, or else the store manager wouldn’t be this obsequious.

Fang Can looked at the store manager, snorted coldly, and said, ”Bingqing finally found a coat she likes, and yet your store’s staff wouldn’t let her try it on. What is going on here?”

”Apologies, Miss Fang, you may try on any style you like. This staff member is new, so she doesn’t recognize you and has offended you.” As she spoke, she glared at the staff member.

”We like that red woolen coat she’s holding.”

Upon hearing this, the store manager hurriedly handed the red woolen coat to Fang Can, saying, ”Miss Fang, please try it on.”

At this point, Yiyi’s face turned ice-cold as she stepped forward and said in a deep voice, ”We’ve decided to buy this coat and are about to have it bagged. If they want to try it on, you should offer them a new one.”

The store staff looked troubled.

”There’s only this one left in this style.”

Upon hearing this, without hesitation, the store manager handed the coat to Fang Can, then smiled to Yiyi and her mother, ”Please take a look at other styles; I’ll give you a discount later.”

”No, we want this one.”

Yiyi’s expression was indifferent, but there was determination in her eyes.

Hearing Yiyi’s words, the smile on the store manager’s face faded, ”Young lady, this red woolen coat isn’t cheap, it costs over three hundred yuan. Other styles are a bit cheaper, and I’ll give you a discount, so please look at other styles.”

Standing by her daughter’s side, Yue Jun was already furious. She stepped forward and said, ”What’s going on in your store? We clearly came first, and we’re ready to pay for this coat, but now you want us to give it up to someone else? What kind of reasoning is that?” As she spoke, she snatched the coat and took out money from her bag, ready to pay.

”Slap...”

Just as Yue Jun was taking out the money, Fang Can slapped her, making Yue Jun instinctively let go of the coat, ”I’ve said we want it, what’s wrong with you, don’t you understand human speech?”

The incident happened so suddenly that Yiyi didn’t expect this person to resort to physical violence. Seeing her mother’s face swelling up rapidly, a furious rage welled up in her eyes, and without thinking, she slapped Fang Can right back across the face.

”You... you actually dare to hit me.”
