The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 129: Chapter 129: Why Did You Hit Her?

Hearing her mother say this, Yiyi nodded and said, ”Yes, we’ll go ourselves. That way, we can be more at ease and even have some fun in Shangjing. Just in time, I’ll start school when we get back.”

Ding Yuejun smiled at these words.

”Alright, we’ll go together then. Anyway, it’s just the two of us at home most of the time, so we’ll take this opportunity to go out and see something new.” Ding Yuejun used to never imagine she could have a day to go to Shangjing. Now that they had the time and enough money, a trip was possible.

Having made their decision, the mother and daughter began packing, and they immediately went to buy tickets. Luckily, they managed to get tickets for the train to Shangjing in the afternoon. Both packed their clothes, including the two qipaos, and embarked on their journey to Shangjing.

”Yiyi, over here.”

Ding Yuejun walked ahead, put the luggage in place, and called Yiyi to sit down, letting her daughter take the window seat.

”Mom, you sit inside. I’ll take the outside.”

Seeing her daughter’s insistence, Ding Yuejun did not argue further, and they both sat down quickly.

Opposite them was a middle-aged woman, next to whom was a young man who was currently lying on the table, his face obscured. The middle-aged woman, staring at Ding Yuejun and Yiyi, said in surprise, ”Oh, so you are mother and daughter! I thought you were sisters.”

Hearing this, Ding Yuejun chuckled and said, ”How could we be sisters with such an age difference? It’s obvious we are mother and daughter.”

Yiyi held her mother’s hand and laughed, ”That just means mom looks young.”

”Yes, indeed young. Lady, you don’t look like you could have such a big daughter at all.”

The middle-aged woman across from them was quite talkative. Even though Yiyi and her mother did not say much, the woman kept chatting and trying to get close to them.

Yiyi glanced at the woman across from her, smiling on the surface but with cold eyes. The way the woman looked at her and her mother was off, too overly enthusiastic, and Yiyi didn’t miss the calculation in her eyes. While secretly observing the woman, Yiyi also glanced at the man lying beside her, wondering if the two were together.

”Is this your son?”

Hearing Yiyi’s question, the woman was momentarily stunned, then shook her head, saying, ”No, when I came earlier, there was already someone in the seat.”

Seeing the expression in the woman’s eyes, Yiyi knew she wasn’t lying. It seemed these two people weren’t together.

At this moment, the person they discussed slowly straightened and raised his head.

When everyone saw his face, they were all stunned, staring at the person as if their breathing had almost stopped.

The young man’s face was smooth and fair, his features exquisitely beautiful, his deep eyes like a pool of clear water, drawing people in at first glance. The young man, as radiant as Zilan Yushu, seemed to illuminate everyone’s heart.

Yiyi was the first to recover, but she couldn’t help but admire his appearance. It was the first time she had seen someone so good-looking. Yes, good-looking — that was the best word she could find. A man so handsome was truly remarkable.

Ding Yuejun soon snapped back as well, though only with appreciative eyes.

As for the middle-aged woman opposite them, she looked at the young man with amazement and asked, ”Young man, what’s your name? Where are you from? How are you so good-looking?”

However, the young man merely gave the woman a distant glance, then his gaze swept past Yiyi and her mother, returning to his position on the table, continuing to sleep.

Seeing the young man’s aloof demeanor, the middle-aged woman couldn’t help but frown, but quickly her face was again full of smiles, with a glimmer in her eyes.

Yiyi, seeing this, couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow.

The train clattered on, and time passed slowly. As night fell completely, Ding Yuejun took out two pieces of bread from her bag, handing one to her daughter, saying, ”Yiyi, eat something quickly.”

Yiyi took only one, letting her mother have the other. They didn’t bring much with them in their haste to leave, and she remembered they only had two pieces of bread.

”Sister, if you don’t mind, eat some of mine. I brought many buns, and they’re still warm.”

The middle-aged woman across from them offered brightly.

Yiyi declined directly, ”No need, our appetites are small. Two pieces of bread are plenty.”

”Little girl, what’s with the courtesy? I brought a lot. You can even have two or three, it wouldn’t be a problem.” Speaking, she pushed the buns closer to Yiyi and her mother.

Seeing the woman being so hospitable, Ding Yuejun felt embarrassed to refuse. However, Yiyi unceremoniously pushed the buns back, ”Madam, we said we don’t need them; you should just eat them yourself.”

”You little girl...”

But the woman was interrupted by Yiyi, ”If you really think you have too many buns, just eat more yourself.” With that, she quickly handed the bread to Ding Yuejun, saying, ”Mom, let’s eat quickly.”

Seeing her daughter say this, Ding Yuejun paid no more attention to the woman across from her and started eating her bread.

The woman saw Yiyi and Ding Yuejun ignoring her and had a flicker of emotion in her eyes, but soon her face was full of smiles again, ”I’ll eat by myself then.” She glanced at the young man next to her, seeing he had no intention of getting up to eat, she said nothing more.

The night train was much quieter than during the day. By the latter half of the night, Yiyi was feeling sleepy, leaning against her mother with her eyes closed.

In a drowsy state, Yiyi suddenly opened her eyes sharply, looking at the middle-aged woman.

The woman was holding a handkerchief, about to bring it close to Yiyi’s nose.

Seeing this, Yiyi understood immediately — she had suspected the woman’s overenthusiasm had ulterior motives, and here was the proof. Without hesitation, Yiyi landed a punch on the woman’s face.

”Ah...”

The woman screamed, but quickly defended herself, ”Little girl, why are you hitting someone? I saw some dirt on your face and was just going to wipe it off for you, and you just hit me!”

Several people nearby were awakened by the commotion, frowning and looking over with some annoyance. No one appreciates being roused from sleep.

But Yiyi, hearing the woman’s words, quickly snatched the handkerchief from her hands, took a sniff, and said, ”There’s chloroform on this handkerchief. So you wipe people’s faces with this, huh? I’m not letting you wipe mine. If you knock me out, who knows what would happen next.”
