The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 5: Chapter 5: Talking Back

It felt like she hadn’t slept long before Yiyi was awakened by the sound of arguing outside.

Dazed, Mo Yiyi sat up and it sounded like Grandpa and Father had come home.

But just waking up, Mo Yiyi’s mind was still a bit unclear until a loud noise startled her, and she immediately jumped out of bed and ran outside.

As soon as she went out, she saw her mother lying on the ground.

Seeing this scene, Mo Yiyi rushed forward, ”Mom, what’s wrong?”

Ding Yuejun was sweating profusely, feeling she couldn’t get up, but to reassure her daughter, she gritted her teeth and shook her head, saying, ”Mom’s fine. Yiyi, you were hurt so badly, why are you out? Go back and lie down immediately.”

At this time, Mo Xiaohong directly blocked in front of Ding Yuejun and Mo Yiyi, then looked at Mo Guowei in front of her and said, ”Dad, it’s all my fault. Why did you hit Mom? If you want to hit someone, hit me.”

Although Ding Yuejun was only her stepmother, her birth mother was Mo Guowei’s first wife, who passed away when she was very young. So she doesn’t have much memory of her biological mother. Instead, Ding Yuejun cared for her well after marrying in, so her relationship with Ding Yuejun and Mo Yiyi was very affectionate. Seeing her father hitting her mother at this moment was unbearable, so she stepped forward to intervene.

Hearing what Mo Xiaohong said, Mo Yiyi raised her head directly, her eyes coldly staring at Mo Guowei in front of her.

This man in front of them was their father, yet she would rather have no father like this.

Whether in the past or present life, Mo Guowei, this father, always treated the three of them like servants, even resorting to violence when upset. Yet when they were in trouble, he never stood up for them and instead blamed them.

What use was such a father?

”Are you angry at Mother because of Sister’s matter, huh... Do you also think it’s right for Sister to go back to that Jiang family?”

Mo Guowei had already heard Mother say earlier that Mo Yiyi had changed a bit. Initially, he dismissed it, but seeing the sharpness in his younger daughter’s gaze now, he believed Mother was right. This little girl had changed to the point he almost didn’t recognize her.

But no matter how unfamiliar, the little girl in front of him was still his daughter. Could she really overstep her bounds and even dare to contradict him?

”Yes, I do think your sister should return to the Jiang family. Even if Jiang Huirong has a son outside, so what? Just like your grandmother said, Xiao Hong should just raise the little boy, and she and Jiang Huirong are still husband and wife.”

Hearing Mo Guowei’s words, Mo Yiyi’s face was full of sarcasm.

”Hmph... you really are all one family, thinking the same way, but I’m telling you, my sister’s divorce is for sure.”

Hearing Mo Yiyi’s words, Jiang Huirong’s veins bulged on his forehead, ”You little girl, itchy for a beating, aren’t you? I thought you were obedient, but now you’re full of sharp words. I’m telling you, when Jiang Huirong comes tomorrow, I’ll have him take Xiao Hong back.”

At this time, Ding Yuejun slowly got up from the ground. She directly stood in front of Mo Yiyi and Mo Xiaohong, saying, ”Since Yiyi has already made a decision on this matter, let’s go with Yiyi’s decision.”

Seeing that even his always-obedient wife dared to defy him, Mo Guowei truly felt he had lost face, being contradicted by the three women in his family one after another.

Mo Meina, seeing her uncle’s family situation, couldn’t help but say from the side, ”Uncle, I also think Yiyi is going too far this time. How can such a big matter be decided by a little girl? Uncle, you are Sister Xiao Hong’s father; this matter should be decided by you.”

Hearing this voice, Yiyi turned back to look, finding it was Mo Meina, the most favored in their family.

This girl from the second house, though the same age as her, was far more cunning, since she looked like the late little aunt, pleasing Old Mrs. Mo. Even though she was just a girl, her status at home was similar to Mo Ke Fei’s.

Usually, she acted sweetly to elders, and on the other hand, made things difficult for her in every way, so this Mo Meina before her was truly annoying.

”Mo Meina, this is our family matter; it’s not your place to speak.”

Seeing Mo Yiyi’s somewhat sharp gaze, Mo Meina said no more but looked aggrieved as she hid behind Old Mrs. Mo.

Seeing Mo Meina being wronged, how could Old Mrs. Mo bear it?

”Mo Yiyi, how can you speak to your sister like that? You dare to bully Meina right in front of us, imagine how you bully her otherwise.”

”Grandma, it’s fine, Yiyi might just be in a bad mood,” Mo Meina said softly.

Seeing Mo Meina like this, Old Mrs. Mo felt even more distressed.

Mo Yiyi saw this and couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow.

This Mo Meina’s acting skills were getting better and better, but she had no extra energy to play along with them now, so she directly turned to Mo Guowei and said, ”Are you really our father, that Sister suffered so much, and you’re not standing up for her, instead asking her to continue to endure? Is there a father like that?”

After saying that, Mo Yiyi directly took Ding Yuejun and Mo Xiaohong back to the room.

It took Mo Guowei quite a while to come back to his senses, but by then, there was no trace of Mo Yiyi and the others, so he chased after them.

Mo Yiyi had already locked the room door, no matter how hard Mo Guowei knocked, she acted as if she didn’t hear.

”Yiyi, should we really not open the door for Dad?” Mo Xiaohong asked somewhat nervously.

Mo Yiyi immediately replied, ”No, or else he’ll hit us if we do.” Although she wasn’t afraid of Mo Guowei now, even facing him she could easily knock him down, but today she had already surprised everyone. If she did something even more shocking, it might really make others suspicious.

Ding Yuejun was initially hesitant, but hearing her daughter’s words, she reacted quickly. What if Mo Guowei hit Yiyi later? So she also agreed with Yiyi’s plan, not opening the door for Mo Guowei.

Outside, Mo Guowei cursed until he was tired, seeing that the mother and daughters wouldn’t open the door, he finally left, cursing under his breath.

But the three of them staying in the room was not sustainable, as they hadn’t even eaten dinner yet.

”Mom, Sister, don’t worry. I’ll go get dinner later. After I leave, lock the door, and don’t open it for anyone. Do you remember?”

Seeing her mother nod, Mo Yiyi sneaked out to the kitchen, and seeing three boiled eggs in the big pot, she sneered and took all three eggs, as well as the only bowl of braised pork.
