Pokémon: My Parallel World Daughters Revealed

The video continued.

[On this day, carrying her dreams and the blessings of her family, Raina—the future Water-Type Master—set out on her journey as a Pokémon Trainer. Thus began the legend that would one day be told throughout the world.]

The video temporarily froze on a silhouette of Raina and Eevee gazing toward the distant horizon.

[Ding! It is time for a question!]

[Generating a random quiz question...]

[Question: What is the primary purpose of the Prism Scale that Raina received from her father, Asher?]

[A. It is used to make high-quality Pokémon food.]

[B. It is a key item used to evolve Feebas into Milotic.]

[C. It is an accessory that increases the power of Water-type moves.]

[D. It is used to create a certain rare medicine.]

[The race to answer will begin in thirty seconds!]

[VIP Chat Group]

[Dawn]: A Prism Scale? Oh, I know this one! Professor Oak just explained that it’s used to evolve Feebas into Milotic!

[Johanna]: Hehe. You remembered it correctly this time, Dawn.

[Dawn]: That’s because I was paying attention! Besides, Milotic is so beautiful. Of course I remembered!

[Lorelei]: Hehe. Feebas certainly undergoes an enormous transformation when it evolves into Milotic. Similar stories have been passed down throughout many regions.

[Cynthia]: Sinnoh has a similar legend. It is said that Feebas can evolve into Milotic because they never abandon the desire for beauty hidden deep within their hearts.

[Diantha]: What a romantic interpretation...

[Jessie]: The answer is obvious, isn’t it? B.

[James]: Wait, Jessie. Are you really deciding that quickly?

[Jessie]: Isn’t it obvious?

[James]: What if we fall into another trap like last time?

[Meowth]: ...That’s enough! Stop making me remember that horrifying experience, meowth!

[Clemont]: From a scientific perspective, the Prism Scale’s known evolutionary function specifically applies to Feebas. As for the other answers... Option A claims that it is used to make high-quality Pokémon food. While Prism Scales may contain various trace minerals, using such a rare object as food would be incredibly wasteful, and there is no evidence of that purpose.

[Ash]: So the answer is still B, right?!

[Brock]: I think we should remain cautious. After all—

The countdown reached its final seconds.

Three, two, one—

[Ding! The race to answer has begun!]

The enormous red button appeared in the center of the screen once again.

This time, someone pressed it even faster than before.

[Ding! An answerer has been selected!]

[Congratulations to Iris for pressing the button first!]

The Village of Dragons, Unova Region.

Iris sat cross-legged on a thick branch of a large tree. Axew lay on a nearby branch, using its tiny claws to fiddle with one of its tusks.

When the words Answerer Selected appeared across the screen, Iris nearly fell out of the tree.

”H-H-Huh?!”

She frantically grabbed the branch beside her, while Axew was startled by her sudden movement.

”I got it?!”

Iris stared at the screen with wide eyes.

”Axew, did you see that? I pressed it first!”

The Elder emerged from a nearby house and looked up at Iris.

”What happened? Why are you shouting so loudly?”

”Elder! I got selected to answer the question!”

Iris leaped down from the tree and landed steadily on the ground with Axew in her arms.

”It’s the question from that livestream!”

The Elder paused before smiling.

”Oh? Then you had better think carefully. There will be a punishment if you answer incorrectly.”

Iris’s smile froze.

”...A punishment.”

She lowered her head and looked at Axew.

Axew looked up at her.

The girl and the Dragon-type Pokémon shuddered at exactly the same time.

[Dawn]: ??? I didn’t even see the button appear! How did someone press it that quickly?!

[Iris]: Of course! My hands are incredibly fast!

[Ash]: I wanted to press it too... I missed it by just a little...

[Gary]: You were lucky last time. Even if you had pressed it first, that doesn’t mean you would have answered correctly.

[Ash]: Damn it, Gary! I’m going to find you and settle this right now!

[Gary]: Heh. Unfortunately for you, I’m not currently in Pallet Town.

[Brock]: Ash, perhaps we should listen to Iris’s answer first.

[Iris]: Professor Oak and Mr. Wallace already explained it! A Prism Scale is a key item used to evolve Feebas into Milotic!

[Lorelei]: So you intend to choose B?

[Iris]: ...Wait!

[Iris]: The answer to the first question wasn’t as obvious as it appeared. What if this question contains another trap?

[James]: You finally realized the problem! What happened to Meowth should serve as a warning to everyone!

[Meowth]: Could you stop bringing that up, meowth?!

[Clemont]: From a scientific standpoint, the function of the Prism Scale has already been firmly established within the academic community. It is a specialized item that facilitates Feebas’s Evolution.

[Clemont]: As for the other choices, option A says it is used to produce Pokémon food. Although Prism Scales may contain trace minerals, there are no records of them being used in food production.

[Clemont]: Option C claims it increases the power of Water-type moves. To my knowledge, the Prism Scale possesses no such effect.

[Clemont]: Option D says it is used to create a certain rare medicine. Hmm... While I am aware of a few possibilities, that still could not be considered its primary purpose. Therefore, after considering every option, B remains the most accurate answer.

[Bonnie]: Wow, Clemont! You analyzed every single choice!

[Clemont]: Hahaha. It was nothing~

[Iris]: But... what if the livestream refuses to follow common sense?

[Dawn]: I don’t think it would do that. The previous question about Squirtle’s Nature was difficult, but it still involved a professional assessment of Pokémon behavior. It wasn’t a completely unreasonable question.

Back in the real world, Iris watched the answering countdown steadily approach zero.

She took a deep breath.

”I choose B! It’s a key item used to evolve Feebas into Milotic!”

[VIP Chat Group]

[Brock]: The reasoning is sound. That should be the correct answer.

[Ash]: I wonder what kind of special reward she’ll receive!

Suddenly, a bright-red notification appeared on the screen.

[Incorrect answer!]

[Punishment: You will be forced to imitate Mega Starmie’s bizarre running style for ten minutes. You will be unable to stop during that period!]

The screen immediately began displaying Iris.

She stood in the courtyard of the Village of Dragons, having been fully prepared to celebrate her correct answer.

Instead, she stared dumbfounded at the message.

”What?! I was wrong? What kind of ridiculous punishment is that?!”

Before she could finish speaking, an invisible force seized control of her body.

Iris’s legs suddenly straightened. Her joints bent at unnatural angles as she began moving forward, swaying mechanically from side to side.

Her strange, mesmerizing running style perfectly resembled that of Mega Starmie.

”Let me go! I don’t want everyone to see me like this!”

Iris was furious and humiliated. She desperately tried to stop, but she had completely lost control of her body.

Like a wind-up toy whose spring had been twisted as tightly as possible, she began running circles around the courtyard at a constant speed, with an unchanging stride and the same ridiculous posture.

”Pfft.”

The Elder could not hold it in and burst out laughing.

”Elder! Don’t just stand there laughing! Help me think of something!”

Iris shouted while running, her voice trembling in rhythm with her body.

”I-I can’t stop this thing!”

The Elder leisurely took a sip of tea.

”The punishment says it will only last for ten minutes. Just endure it a little longer.”

”Ten minutes?!”

”It has already been...”

The Elder glanced at the clock inside the house.

”Approximately thirty seconds. Keep going.”

”Elder!”

[VIP Chat Group]

[Jessie]: What is that?! Hahahahahaha!

[James]: Hahaha! That running style is incredible! She looks like her body doesn’t have any bones!

[Dawn]: I-I shouldn’t laugh... But... Pfft...

[Ash]: Sorry, I can’t hold it in either! Hahahahahahaha!

[May]: Iris, are you all right?

[Iris]: Not at all! I can’t stop running!

[Brock]: That posture certainly has an extremely... powerful visual impact.

[Gary]: ”Visual impact” doesn’t begin to describe it. It’s practically a psychological attack.

[Cynthia]: ...I never expected the livestream to impose a punishment like this. It doesn’t cause physical harm, but the humiliation is far too severe!

[Diantha]: Cynthia, are you trying not to laugh right now?

[Cynthia]: I am not.

[Diantha]: I don’t believe you.

[Cynthia]: ...Fine. Maybe a little.

[Professor Sycamore]: Mega Starmie’s running style... I’ve researched Mega Evolution for so many years, yet this is the first time I’ve seen a human reproduce it perfectly.

[Assistant Sophie]: Professor... Why do you look as though you’re actually impressed?

[Professor Sycamore]: Ahem. Scientific observation. This is purely scientific observation.
