Pokémon: My Parallel World Daughters Revealed

Melemele Island, Alola Region.

The beach was already crowded with vacationers and their Pokémon.

Farther out at sea, several people were riding Pokémon in a surfing competition, while others played and fooled around with their Pokémon along the shore.

Asher lay on a beach chair wearing sunglasses, sipping coconut milk as he enjoyed the warm sunlight and refreshing sea breeze.

Asher was not originally from the Pokémon world. He was a transmigrator.

One perfectly ordinary afternoon, he had taken a nap at home, only to wake up and discover that he had somehow arrived in the world of Pokémon.

After arriving in this world, Asher became bound to something called the Infinite Reincarnation System.

Its function was fairly straightforward: it assigned missions to Asher. Completing one would earn him rewards and allow him to advance to the next reincarnation cycle, while failure meant starting all over again.

At first, Asher had no intention of grinding through missions. The Pokémon world was practically a utopia, so he thought he might as well relax and let nature take its course.

However, as the system began offering increasingly generous rewards, Asher found himself endlessly grinding through its missions while privately admitting one thing: It was absolutely worth it!

The only problem was that, aside from normal missions such as Become the World Champion, the system also issued plenty of bizarre ones.

Things like Teach Groudon How to Fly and Enter a Pokémon Contest Under the Alias ”The Kricketune Man”...

Missions like those often left Asher completely dumbfounded.

Fortunately, he had now successfully completed every reincarnation mission.

When he opened his eyes after his final reincarnation, he had already accumulated a terrifying amount of power and resources. The system had also fallen silent, which meant he was finally free to begin a new life.

At that moment, two tall women in swimsuits walked past Asher, chatting and laughing with each other.

Asher immediately adjusted his sunglasses and took another sip of coconut milk as he admired the view.

”Those legs... Ahem! This coconut milk sure is white!”

...

Just as Asher was preparing to continue appreciating the snow-white coconut milk, a notification suddenly rang inside his mind.

[Ding!]

[The Parallel-World Exposure Livestream has descended!]

The straw slipped from Asher’s mouth. He did not even have time to activate his automatic Lock-On with his eyes.

”What the hell is this? Another system?! Can’t a man get a moment of peace?!”

He cursed wildly inside his heart, feeling the absurd frustration of someone who had only just retired before immediately being called back to work.

However, to Asher’s surprise, the previously lively beach instantly fell silent.

Everyone froze where they stood.

Asher frowned slightly. Apparently, everyone could hear the voice this time.

Immediately afterward, a virtual screen of light appeared before him.

[This livestream will display famous individuals from parallel worlds and the journeys through which they grew.]

[Questions will be asked during each broadcast. Those who participate and answer correctly will receive rewards. Incorrect answers will result in corresponding punishments.]

[The first episode of the Parallel-World Celebrity Series will begin in thirty minutes.]

[Audience members are currently entering. Available seating is divided into Regular Seats and VIP Seats!]

A chat window then appeared on the right side of the screen.

[VIP Chat Group]

[Iris]: Hello? Hello? Is anyone there? Can we really talk through this thing?

[Misty]: What is this? How are my thoughts turning into words?

[Professor Oak]: It appears to be a form of real-time communication. Who could possibly possess the ability to connect people from so many different regions in a single live conversation?

[Clemont]: This is incredible! I’ve never seen technology like this before. I need to start researching it as soon as possible!

[Gary]: @Professor Oak, Grandpa, I’ve already tested it. This thing can’t be forcibly closed. There also seem to be far more people in the Regular Seats. They’re already chatting up a storm.

[Lance]: This doesn’t appear to be technology that humans are capable of creating.

[Lorelei]: If it isn’t being controlled by a human, then what could be responsible? A Pokémon?

[Leon]: It’s hard to say. Still, anyone selected for a VIP Seat probably isn’t an ordinary person.

[Jessie]: What?! James, Meowth, did you hear that? Everyone here is an important big shot! This is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the glorious reputation of Team Rocket! Prepare for trouble as we travel through the galaxy~

[James]: A white hole! A white tomorrow is waiting for us~

[Meowth]: You two idiots! Keep a low profile until we figure out what’s going on, meowth!

[Ash]: Team Rocket?! You guys are here too?!

[Gary]: Ash? Even a guy like you got into the VIP section?

[Ash]: What’s that supposed to mean, Gary? Why shouldn’t I be in the VIP section? One day, I’m going to become the world’s greatest Pokémon Master!

[Brock]: It seems the seating arrangement isn’t based solely on strength. Besides those two members of Team Rocket, even Meowth was admitted into the VIP section.

[Steven]: So many people have gathered here? Should any of you wish to sell a rare stone, please contact me before anyone else. For further details, you may also contact the Devon Corporation.

[Wallace]: Steven, you’re one of the representatives of the Hoenn region. Could you at least pay some attention to your public image?

[Steven]: My image? Is that important?

[Wallace]: Your dignity, Steven. Do you have any dignity left?

[Steven]: I want stones.

[Wallace]: ...

Celestic Town Historical Research Center.

While the people in the chat continued joking around, Cynthia watched the screen with a serious and focused expression.

Whatever this thing was, it could forcibly connect such a massive number of people and could neither be blocked nor destroyed.

She could not imagine what kind of existence possessed such power.

Could it be Team Galactic?

Cynthia took a bite of the creamy ice cream in her hand before dismissing the idea.

Team Galactic could not possibly accomplish something like this. If they possessed such methods, they would have conquered the world long ago.

Then who was responsible?

Could it really be a Pokémon?

Cynthia searched through her memories of the myths and historical records she had studied, but she could not think of a single Legendary Pokémon said to possess an ability like this.

...

Pallet Town, Professor Oak’s Laboratory.

After sending a message in the chat group, Professor Oak also fell silent.

Even he could not understand the principles behind the screen of light before him.

After instructing the laboratory’s other researchers to search for relevant information, Professor Oak stared at the screen and sank into deep thought.

”If it isn’t human... could it truly be some undiscovered species of Pokémon? Or perhaps it really is someone from another world...”

”Bubble, bubble, bubble...”

The sudden sound of boiling water behind him interrupted Professor Oak’s thoughts.

He abruptly snapped back to reality.

Wait.

Wasn’t he forgetting something?

Turning around, he saw that the instant noodles inside his beaker had already dissolved into a sticky clump.

Professor Oak cried out in anguish.

”Oh no! I overcooked my instant noodles again!”

...

Team Rocket Headquarters.

Giovanni watched the screen before him indifferently, gently swirling the red wine in his glass.

”Boss, how should we deal with this thing?”

Archer, one of Team Rocket’s executives, asked with a frown.

This phenomenon had already exceeded Team Rocket’s sphere of control. There was no telling whether it would ultimately prove beneficial or disastrous.

”There’s no need to rush. The ones who should be suffering headaches right now are those people in the Pokémon League.”

Giovanni set down his wine glass and continued observing the screen.

”Keep our subordinates under control. Don’t allow any of our secrets to be exposed.”

”Yes.”

Archer nodded before leaving the office.

...

The backyard of Professor Oak’s Laboratory.

Ash angrily closed his private chat window with Gary.

”That annoying Gary! The next time we battle, I’m definitely going to beat him!”

Pikachu: Ϟ(๑⚈ ․̫ ⚈๑)⋆

Beside him, the mighty Pikachu was repeatedly licking ketchup from a bottle.

It was rare for Ash’s attention to be completely captured by something else, so Pikachu had decisively dug its favorite ketchup out of Ash’s backpack and begun enjoying it.

”All right, Pikachu! Let’s keep working hard! We’ll be leaving to travel through the Unova region soon, so we need to train even harder!”

...

Back on Asher’s side...

Asher watched the people in the VIP chat group enthusiastically talking among themselves. He remained perfectly calm as he lay on his beach chair, cracking sunflower seeds while enjoying their conversation.

After all, this so-called livestream had nothing to do with him.

Whatever happened, happened.
