Primordial Heir: Nine Stars

”It is not enough!” Lux shouted, his voice echoing through the trees. The thrill of the kill had ignited a fire within him, but it was only a spark—he craved more, a deeper satisfaction to quench his thirst for massacre. He followed the lingering scent left by the goblin, tracking it back like an experienced hunter. With each step, his anticipation grew, and soon he arrived at a small clearing teeming with twelve Red Goblins.

Even in this heightened state, Lux didn’t rush to attack. He was aware of his dwindling prana reserves; the newly created skill was taxing. Instead, he erased his presence, slipping into a meditative state amidst the shadows. He focused on his breathing, performing a quick technique to replenish his prana, feeling the energy surge within him once more.

’’Now I’m ready to go on rampage!”

Once revitalized, he reactivated his skill, summoning the white gauntlets around his hands. The moment they formed, he could feel the surge of power coursing through his muscles, amplifying his strength and igniting a manic laughter that escaped his lips. It was time to unleash chaos, a massacre.

Swoosh!

With a burst of speed, Lux shot into the clearing, a whirlwind of destruction.

’’!!!”

The goblins were caught off guard, their beady eyes wide with shock as he descended upon them like a storm. He targeted the nearest goblin first, his fist connecting with its face in a brutal uppercut.

Bam!

The impact shattered its jaw, and the creature crumpled to the ground, its life extinguished before it could even scream.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Lux danced through the chaos, his movements fluid and lethal. He reveled in the brutality, each strike fueled by a mixture of adrenaline and dark joy. The gauntlets glowed with a menacing light, each punch infused with the property of decay. He struck again, this time targeting a goblin swinging a crude club. With a swift sidestep, he dodged its attack and retaliated with a powerful punch to its gut. The force of the blow sent the creature sprawling backward, gasping for breath as its insides began to rot away.

’’!”

The clearing erupted into chaos. Goblins scrambled in every direction, their panic palpable as their numbers dwindled one by one.

’’Hehe hahaha!”

Lux’s laughter rang out, a chilling sound that echoed through the forest, striking fear into the hearts of those who still stood. He was no longer merely a mage; he had embraced the role of a relentless predator, reveling in the hunt.

He moved with purpose, targeting each goblin with ruthless efficiency. A swift jab here, a crushing blow there—he tore through them like a scythe through wheat. One goblin tried to flee, but Lux was faster, grabbing it by the ankle and yanking it back to the ground. He followed up with a knee to its face, feeling the satisfying crunch of bone under his strike before finishing it off with a swift downward punch that disintegrated its skull. He was laughing as he did this, not once of humanity could be found within him right now, his sole purpose was destruction, pure destruction of his enemy, nothing else mattered right now.

Another goblin, wielding a dagger, rushed him from the side. Lux feigned a stumble, drawing it in closer before spinning on his heel and delivering a backfist that sent the creature sprawling into the dirt.

’’Gugu!”

As it groaned, Lux leaned down, grabbing its collar and lifting it to eye level. ”You thought you could escape?” he taunted before delivering a brutal punch that turned its head into a grotesque mess of blood and brains.

The massacre continued, each goblin meeting a gruesome end. Lux felt alive, the chaos surrounding him intoxicating. He was a force of nature, unstoppable and fierce, each kill feeding his insatiable hunger for destruction. The clearing became a canvas of carnage, painted with blood and the remnants of what once were living creatures.

Finally, as the last goblin fell, Lux stood amidst the wreckage, panting heavily but exhilarated. The ground was littered with the bodies of the slain, their lifeless forms sprawled in grotesque poses. He surveyed the scene, a macabre masterpiece of his own making. The air was thick with the smell of blood and decay, and he breathed it in deeply, feeling a sense of accomplishment wash over him.

Lux raised his arms, feeling the power coursing through him, the gauntlets still glowing ominously. He was a conqueror, a master of destruction, and he reveled in the aftermath of his brutal display. This was not merely a battle won; again it was a statement—a declaration of his newfound strength and the darkness he had embraced. In that moment, he knew he would stop at nothing to rid the world of every monster that dared to exist, one brutal victory at a time.

”Hehehe! This is so fun. Should I continue?”

His eyes glinted dangerously, a wild excitement coursing through him. He didn’t want to stop, but suddenly, a voice echoed from deep within his soul, audible only to him.

[Enough!] his other persona insisted, refusing to yield further to this madness, at least not tonight.

”Tch! You’re no fun, so boring!” the current persona pouted before vanishing, making way for the gentle persona to emerge once more. Indeed, Lux struggled with a split personality disorder.

A split personality disorder, also known as dissociative identity disorder (DID), is a complex psychological condition characterized by the presence of two or more distinct personality states or identities within a single individual. Each personality may have its own unique traits, memories, and ways of perceiving the world. These identities can emerge in response to stress or trauma, often as a coping mechanism to help the individual manage difficult experiences or emotions.

In Lux’s case, the split between his darker, more violent persona and his gentler, more compassionate side illustrates the internal struggle he faces. His darker persona relishes chaos and destruction, thriving in moments of violence, while the gentle persona seeks harmony and peace, often at odds with the darker impulses. This duality creates a constant battle within him, as he navigates the complex landscape of his own psyche, trying to balance the desires of each identity while grappling with the consequences of their actions.
