Chapter 6459: Tianjian Qingyuan’s Attitude

“I couldn’t bring your grandmother back,” Tianjian Qingyuan revealed the reason for her apology. She continued, “Your grandmother has entered the Ninth Galaxy.”

“My grandmother has entered the Ninth Galaxy?” Chu Feng finally understood why he couldn’t sense his grandmother anymore.

Tianjian Qingyuan told Chu Feng what happened.

Chu Feng heaved a sigh of relief and was happy for his grandmother when he heard that she had entered the Ninth Galaxy via Heaven Gate. He had no means to treat his grandmother at the moment, whereas Heaven Gate contained many fortuitous encounters.

His grandmother might recover from one of those fortuitous encounters.

“Elder, you aren’t to be blamed for my grandmother’s plight, but there’s one thing I’m worried you might blame me for,” Chu Feng said.

“You’re the one who massacred this line of the Heavensword Sacred Palace, right?” Tianjin Qingyuan asked.

“Elder, you already know about it?” Chu Feng was surprised.

Eggy heaved a sigh of relief. Tianjian Qingyuan had known about the massacre beforehand, but she still apologized to Chu Feng about his grandmother and explained the matter. This hinted that she wasn’t angry about the massacre.

Someone of Tianjian Qingyuan’s strength had the privilege of not having to be reasonable; she could have done whatever she wanted without beating around the bush.

Despite knowing that, what TIanjian Qingyuan said still surprised Chu Feng and Eggy.

“You don’t need to feel apologetic, Chu Feng. I should be apologizing to you on behalf of our Heavensword Sacred Palace for what this line did to you.” Tianjian Qingyuan shockingly bowed to Chu Feng.

“Elder, you...” Chu Feng was someone who had weathered storms, but he was still surprised by Tianjian Qingyuan’s attitude.

Even if Tianjian Qingyuan generously chose not to blame him for the massacre, there was no need for her to turn around and apologize to him. That was being way too generous.

“In the Ancient Era, our Heavensword Sacred Palace expanded our influence and recruited more talents by establishing subsidiaries. These subsidiaries became our branches. We didn’t set stringent requirements for our recruitment—those who are talented enough can join us.

“Our initial goal was to nurture more outstanding cultivators while boosting our overall strength. We discovered that many talented individuals are limited by their weak bloodline, so we decided to set up trials for our branches. Prodigies who proved themselves in the trials are brought into the Heavensword Sacred Palace to receive our bloodline legacy.

“Prodigies who received our bloodline legacy shone even brighter afterward, so we went a step further and imparted our bloodline legacy to all branches. Anyone who joined our Heavensword Sacred Palace can receive our bloodline legacy.

“This allowed our Heavensword Sacred Palace to swiftly expand its influence and strength, but having too many people brought about new troubles. People with questionable characters began appearing in our ranks, but our Heavensword Sacred Palace, being a subsidiary of the Heavenly Sacred Temple, can never condone evildoers.

“So, we made a rule that evildoers will be expelled from the Heavensword Sacred Palace. Ha...”

Tianjian Qingyuan let out a sigh before continuing, “I don’t know what happened in the final years of the Ancient Era, but it must have been a huge crisis. That’s why when I discovered that there is still a surviving branch of our Heavensword Sacred Palace here, I took care of them.

“But the rules are the rules. Those who have done wrong ought to be punished. I would have done something even if you didn’t. I apologized to you because I didn’t want such black sheeps to leave you with a bad impression of our Heavensword Sacred Palace.

“Since a branch survived, our main line in the Ninth Galaxy should have survived as well. I suppose you will enter the Ninth Galaxy in due time, right? I don’t want you to be prejudiced against our Heavensword Sacred Palace when you meet them again.”

Tianjian Qingyuan revealed the reason behind his apology.

“To be honest, elder, I doubted the Heavensword Sacred Palace’s accomplishments in the Ancient Era when I saw them, but after meeting you, I can see why the Heavensword Sacred Palace was one of the strongest powers in the Ancient Era.” Chu Feng’s awe toward Tianjian Qingyuan deepened.

Stronger people tended to side with their own people and oppress the weak. It was rare to meet someone like Tianjian Qingyuan who sided with reason. That gave Chu Feng a good opinion of her.

“Elder, these are the treasures I collected by the Heavensword Sacred Palace’s members. I’ll return them to you,” Chu Feng said as he handed a Cosmos Sack over with both hands.

“You can take them. Think of it as our compensation to you.” Tianjian Qingyuan rejected the Cosmos Sack.

“Thank you, elder.” Chu Feng stowed away the Cosmos Sack with a smile.

There were plenty of God Armaments, treasures, and cultivation resources that were highly beneficial to Chu Feng inside the Cosmos Sack. He was nowhere close to Heavenly God level yet, but he had to make his way there a step at a time.

Considering his bloodline’s huge appetite, each breakthrough would be more difficult than the previous.

He chatted a while more with Tianjian Qingyuan before the latter took her leave.

Chu Feng made his way back to Little Fishy and the others. He thanked the Zhao Immortal Clan, the Ye Immortal Clan, and the Huangfu Heavenly Clan for their help in the Immemorial Cemetery earlier.

“You’re being too courteous. We would have all died if not for you. We should be thanking you instead,” Huangfu Zhantian said.

“He’s right.”

Eighth Zhao and Ye Xiancheng’s parents agreed with that sentiment.

Ye Xiancheng’s parents had agreed to forge better relations with Chu Feng before their reunion, and their encounters at the Immemorial Cemetery affirmed their decision.

Chu Feng was bound to accomplish great things in the future, not to mention that his grandmother was formidable as well.

All banquets were bound to come to an end, especially now that they had escaped from the Immemorial Cemetery. After some pleasantries, the Zhao Immortal Clan and the Ye Immortal Clan took their leave.

Before leaving, they expressed their intent to enter the Ninth Galaxy soon and asked if Chu Feng would be heading there, too.

Chu Feng told them that he would head there in due time.
