Chapter 6364: A Competition of Speed? Who’s Afraid of Who?

Despite her curiosity, Eggy refrained from asking to avoid distracting Chu Feng. Instead, she kept a close eye on Ye Xiancheng’s movements, ready to intervene lest the latter hurt Chu Feng.

That said, she would not make a move unless Chu Feng’s life was at risk, as her intervention spelled Chu Feng’s defeat.

“It’s an Ancient Era’s secret skill,” Chu Feng told Eggy via voice transmission. He was explaining it to her because he sharply noticed that she was curious.

“You still have the energy to chat with me?” Eggy asked excitedly.

The fact that Chu Feng could still pay attention to her in an intense battle showed that he was nowhere near cornered.

“The third God Taboo, Heaven Suppression,” Ye Xiancheng suddenly said.

The golden orb on the ceiling suddenly exerted immense pressure, suppressing Chu Feng’s fighting prowess. It worked in a way similar to Chu Feng’s Divine Might—its suppression was not as strong, but its effect was continuous.

If both sides were equally matched, the weakening of one party’s fighting prowess was bound to affect the result of the duel.

Naturally, the tides of the battle changed. Ye Xiancheng claimed the initiative and unleashed a barrage of spear thrusts at Chu Feng.

The true prowess of the Formless Spearmanship showed in his fierce assault.

Chu Feng was forced to retreat. He dodged all the killing blows, but he was no longer as relaxed as before.

“I see. So this is the power of your third God Taboo. I’ll let you have a taste of my power too then,” Chu Feng said.

Both his God Armaments glowed golden, and his fighting prowess further increased.

“What’s that? A secret art?”

Ye Xiancheng noticed that the God Armaments’ glow came from Chu Feng’s body.

Weapon avatars manifested behind Chu Feng, and his fighting prowess increased correspondingly. By the time nine weapon avatars appeared, his fighting prowess had already reached a terrifying level.

Despite having unleashed Heaven Suppression, Ye Xiancheng found himself struggling with Chu Feng’s attacks. In the end, he failed to block one of Chu Feng’s slashes and was struck in the shoulder.

Shoosh!

Ye Xiancheng suddenly vanished as if an apparition and reappeared at the opposite end of the palace.

Chu Feng noticed golden runes on Ye Xiancheng’s legs. The same runes had appeared when he activated Heaven Footwork earlier.

“Oh? So you haven’t truly used Heaven Footwork yet?” Chu Feng asked.

“Chu Feng, did you think my strongest means is Heaven Suppression? You’re wrong. It’s my Heaven Footwork. My cultivation is stuck at True God level, but through Heaven Footwork, I am capable of achieving speed comparable to a rank one Heavenly God. You can’t defeat me, and I doubt that secret skill of yours will last long. Victory will be mine in the end,” Ye Xiancheng said.

He was putting on a brave front. By now, it had become clear to him that it wouldn’t be easy for him to defeat Chu Feng. Formless Spearmanship was strongest at close-quarter combat. It was possible to employ it from a distance, but it wouldn’t be enough to faze Chu Feng.

His only option was to stall for time, till Chu Feng ran out of energy.

Right after he said those words, Chu Feng’s voice echoed behind him, “Is that so?”

But Chu Feng was still in his line of sight a second ago, and there was a safe distance between them. How could the other party suddenly appear behind him without him realizing it?

“You!!!” Ye Xiancheng was horrified. He quickly used Heaven Footwork, causing the golden runes on his legs to glow with greater brilliance than before.

Yet, he failed to escape from Chu Feng.

Chu Feng flitted up to him like a specter, stowed away his God Armament saber, and thrust his palm forth. The attack had come so abruptly that Ye Xiancheng had no time to dodge.

Ye Xiancheng thought Chu Feng was going easy on him, but he quickly realized he was mistaken when a black aura seeped from Chu Feng’s palm into his body.

“What did you do?” Ye Xiancheng panicked.

He sensed something was being siphoned away from his body. It felt bizarre, and it unnerved him.

“I said I won’t go easy on you,” Chu Feng sneered.

He was using his secret skill, Dark Plunder. It allowed him to steal skills that were shown to him and even utilize them at a higher mastery than the person whom he stole the skills from.

That was why Chu Feng had been so patient with Ye Xiancheng. It was to lay the groundwork needed for him to acquire Ye Xiancheng’s skills. The more Ye Xiancheng revealed, the more he could steal through Dark Plunder.

“Chu Feng, don’t even dream about escaping alive if you dare hurt Xiancheng!” the female grand elder bellowed.

It was an empty threat. Ye Xiancheng was already in Chu Feng’s grasp, after all.

“Don’t worry. I still need his formation. I won’t hurt him just yet.”

Chu Feng retracted his palm after using Dark Plunder.

In truth, he had a much better impression of Ye Xiancheng now. The latter could have tapped into his Immortal Legacy to kill him instead of engaging in this battle—that was also the reason Eggy had been eyeing him vigilantly.

Despite having sensed Dark Plunder’s peculiarity, Ye Xiancheng still didn’t tap into his ancestor’s powers. This showed that he kept his promises, even though he refused to admit defeat earlier when Chu Feng kicked him down.

“What did you just use on me? Is it just to intimidate me? I sensed you were taking something from me, but somehow, I’m unharmed?” Ye Xiancheng stood up to assess his body while eyeing Chu Feng with narrowed eyes.

“It’s a secret.” Chu Feng smiled.

If Ye Xiancheng learned that the exclusive skills of the Ye Immortal Clan’s Clan Chief he had spent many years learning had just been stolen by Chu Feng, he wouldn’t be able to take it.
