Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2462: Chapter 1825: Revitalizing the Game of Chess (Part 2)

Lin Weiwei had not only watched the video of Cilio’s questioning but also seen the transcript images, and the content was all like that.

”This Mr. Cilio intercepted us with people for this, and planned to get rough, that’s quite the explosive temper,” Lin Weiwei muttered, ”As the Deputy Executive President of such a grand regional group, how can he be so impulsive, so... simple?”

It seemed a bit unbelievable.

Lin Weiwei had witnessed leaders of subordinate companies who were all cunning figures, so it was hard to believe that Cilio was so ”simple.”

Lei Ying pondered, ”Having his position knocked down to the bottom, and his father implicated without a way to retaliate in the workplace, venting his private anger is indeed a normal human reaction...”

”But wasn’t it all of his making, wasn’t it his own selfishness that caused all this mess!” Lin Weiwei snorted coldly.

If they argued about such a matter, it would never end. Lei Ying didn’t reply and just pursed his lips, ”What about the inquiry records of the other group?”

Apart from Cilio’s people blocking the back route, there was another group of people blocking the way in front at that time.

Lin Weiwei hurriedly went to check,

there were many videos and photos later, unlike Cilio, with no special identity to be singled out, so looking through them would take some time.

Bai Xiaosheng saw this and said directly, ”Let me give you a one-sentence reveal: the initial group of people was hired by Fiewood.”

”Fiewood?!”

This statement surprised Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying quite a bit.

”How could it be him?” Lin Weiwei exclaimed, ”He’s just a company head, not some big shot behind the scenes. How dare he use such means!”

Lei Ying also had some doubts, ”Could it be he acted on his own without anyone’s instructions?”

”Still under investigation,” Bai Xiaosheng said, ”but I think this Fiewood possibly acted alone this time. I guess because he provided us with some new clues, which accidentally got his company involved, he got fearful. The person behind him probably got angry with him and even put pressure on him, which led him to take the risk. When I was at their company, I took out many documents from the briefcase; he might have thought I had other substantial paper evidence, so he was eager to snatch it.”

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying couldn’t help but nod at these words.

They felt what Bai Xiaosheng said indeed seemed reasonable.

”But, that’s not right either,” Lin Weiwei suddenly realized, ”Besides our sudden visit to Yorko Company today catching Fiewood by surprise and agitating him, how did he know we still had other evidence? Even if Xiaosheng took it out of the file bag then, ordinary people would think it was some other document.”

”Could it be...” Lei Ying frowned.

Lin Weiwei tapped her fingers and spoke, ”Did he also get a message in advance? Our report mentioned evidence! Could it be, he also saw our follow-up investigation report!”

What’s going on here! The report documents that reach the high levels of the monitoring department, how could they be leaked so easily, almost reaching everyone?

”Could it be...” Lin Weiwei’s eyes narrowed, her gaze turned somber, decisively giving a hypothesis, ”Mr. Wen Yan is indeed the person behind Fiewood, the mastermind!”

With this sentence, Bai Xiaosheng and Lei Ying both were stunned, giving Lin Weiwei an odd look.

”Seems unlikely, huh,” Lin Weiwei stuck out her tongue upon seeing their expressions.

”Judging from the current situation, the person behind Fiewood is either Caroline or Tike,” Lei Ying frowned, ”If it’s Caroline, even if Tike gets involved due to our investigation, causing heightened conflict here, she would just benefit from being a bystander, not intervening. She wouldn’t pressure Fiewood, let alone push him into desperation. From this, the simplest and most direct might actually be the truth: the person behind Fiewood is Tike!”

What seems plainly obvious is, in the complicated workplace, business wars are often easily doubted, but it doesn’t mean it can’t be the truth.

”Using his own people to provide us with information, then getting himself involved, if it really is Tike, it sounds... not very smart,” Lin Weiwei muttered.

Bai Xiaosheng chuckled softly, murmuring, ”Whether he’s smart or over-smart depends on what his next move is!”

...

Meanwhile.

Tike had just received a call from Mr. Brown, to be precise, he got scolded quite harshly.

Mr. Brown was fuming with rage, gasping for breath, even occasionally mixing up his words, insulting Tike while not forgetting to curse Cilio.

Tike was already aware of the situation since Fiewood had been summoned.

For Fiewood’s action of directing people to block halfway, intending to seize the documents from Bai Xiaosheng, Tike internally cursed him as foolish three thousand times.

Yes, he wanted Fiewood to think of ways to obtain the evidence from Bai Xiaosheng, but not to use such a clumsy method.

Even if you use this way, don’t get caught!

At the very least, don’t get tangled up with Cilio and let people catch you.

Tike also wanted to curse Fiewood out aloud, but unfortunately, there was no chance.

Mr. Brown scolded Tike over the phone for employing the wrong person, asking him to quickly investigate the cause and effect of the situation, and simultaneously questioned him about what role he was playing here.

Tike barely managed to dismiss Mr. Brown over the phone, hung up, and furrowed his brows into a knot while pacing the room.

”This bastard, truly a complete waste! I was already walking a tightrope by using him to provide Bai Xiaosheng with clues, and what does he do? He jumps right onto the tightrope. Suicidal, and he got caught!”

Tike was truly troubled.

Fiewood was indeed his confidant, loyal to him, and unlikely to betray him easily, but not absolutely.

This time, the Lekram Senior Investigation Team was a gathering of capable people, and they might soon extract the truth from Fiewood.

Tike paced around in circles, suddenly stopping, his eyes cold and calculating.

”However, getting mixed up with Cilio is also an opportunity!”

”If I’m willing to pay dearly, I could even ruin Cilio!”

”If Old Brown gets implicated and even resigns, wouldn’t I be the absolute winner!”

Tike mused to himself, his excited eyes shining, and he picked up the phone to make a call.

He called Fiewood’s lawyer.

As Yorko Company’s direct representative, when a subordinate manager had issues, it was naturally his responsibility to intervene, even sending a lawyer.

The lawyer Tike arranged for Fiewood was a top expert in the industry, and more importantly, one of his own, someone he could completely trust.

”James, go see Fiewood now and tell him this...” Tike instructed over the phone.

Facing the current situation, instead of gambling or blocking, it’s better to take an unconventional approach.

Tike decided to make Fiewood push all the blame onto Cilio!

At first glance, it sounds absurd, especially since the two groups didn’t know each other.

But that’s fine, just say Cilio had bribed Fiewood early on. With his father’s power, it wouldn’t be difficult to do.

Moreover, Cilio had also bribed a large number of people not under his command, many of whom were Tike’s subordinates.

Cilio, with his clear record of corruption, wouldn’t surprise anyone even if he did these things.

This time, Bai Xiaosheng’s second investigation posed a significant threat to Cilio’s interests, prompting him to take the risk and scheme...

Tike straightened out this ”plot” and planned to arrange a large number of corporate leaders, first being confessed by Fiewood, then those people would jointly frame Cilio!

In this way, how could Old Brown defend himself? He might even be forced to resign.

However, sacrificing such a large number of confidants meant Tike was bleeding heavily. Of course, if he could take down Old Brown and his son by killing a thousand enemies while losing eight hundred of his own, this deal was absolutely worth it!

The confidants Tike decided to sacrifice were all high-ranking and influential, but as long as he promised them great benefits, they would agree.

After all, once successful, when Tike took charge of the Africa division, they would still have opportunities to be reinstated.

It’s only with those highly positioned true confidants that Tike could be at ease. Their positions would lend strong credibility.

Under Tike’s guidance, the lawyer agreed wholeheartedly.

After hanging up, Tike immediately contacted others to make arrangements and perfect the details.

It’s safe to say, he didn’t sleep at all that night.

By dawn, all the witnesses and evidence were rapidly ”born,” and Tike sat in his study without a hint of fatigue, watching the sunrise almost burst out of the horizon, a faint smile playing on his lips.

He wanted to win against the odds and turn the game around!

If this gamble pays off, the Zhenbei Group’s Africa division will undoubtedly undergo a transformation. He, Tike, will become the true New Sun!
