Park Dae-jung’s face was bitter.

He recognized it was Chinese. Although he could not understand, but...

This was clearly Kevin making things difficult for him. Everyone could obviously communicate in English, so why switch to Chinese only to translate it back again?

”Mr. Kevin, we are very sincere, and we also ask you to...”

”Mr. Park, what is your position?” Kevin asked in English.

”I currently hold the position of company president,” Park Dae-jung said.

”President, so you’re the general manager then. I am Mr. Kelson! Mr. Park, do you think it shows sincerity for your company to have you talking to me?” Kevin snorted coldly. ”If you want to talk, send your chairman! And get a Chinese translator, your English is too crappy!”

After finishing his words, Kevin hung up the phone.

For a long time, suppressed and beaten down by BZ Company, he finally had a breath of relief.

”Had I known it would be this refreshing, I should have cooperated with Bai Xiaosheng earlier! That ten million euros was well spent!” Kevin mused to himself, his smile spreading across his face.

On the other side, Park Dae-jung felt like crying but had no tears.

Previously, it had been he who contacted Kevin, and the other party didn’t make any fuss about job titles. Now, all of a sudden, it became an issue.

Actually, he wasn’t wrong to say so. The companies were somewhat equal in strength, so it made sense for the other side’s president to speak with his own chairman.

However, Chairman Li Zhengxuan was always very proud. After having a talk with Mr. Kevin, he had passed the matter to Park Dae-jung. Now, asking the chairman to step in again, would he question my capability...

Park Dae-jung couldn’t help but swallow nervously, making another tentative call to Mr. Kevin.

This time, the other party didn’t pick up at all!

Kevin was making his stance clear. Either the chairman comes to talk, or there would be no talk at all.

Park Dae-jung’s complexion turned bitter, yet he dared not seek the chairman right now.

Even if he did seek him out, it had to be delayed to show that he had done his part...

It was six in the morning in Seattle, and ten at night in UH Country.

In UH Country, Kelson’s special representative William was entertaining two guests at a restaurant.

These two guests were the assistants to the presidents of two major media conglomerates.

The visitors arrived as scheduled.

That day, the abrupt and large-scale move by Kelson, pouring massive funds in without regard to cost, had made these two media conglomerates extremely curious. They wanted to take this opportunity to probe the reality of the situation.

In the private room, aside from the translator, only three were drinking together.

Exquisite dishes came one after another, and with each glass of wine, William kept on praising without ever mentioning the content of this meeting.

The two president’s assistants knew each other, being competitors, at this moment they were both extremely curious and wanted to ask questions, but they endured, with neither willing to break the silence first.

Park Dae-jung learned about this soon after.

Previously he had only known that William was contacting those two companies, but now they had started to take action.

Park Dae-jung panicked.

”What’s going on? Why is Kelson’s special representative sitting down to drink with our competitors—and not just one, but two? What are they planning to do!” Park Dae-jung’s face became very unsightly the moment he heard the news.

Feigning great ambitions for Kelson and probing their bottom line was his suggestion to the chairman and something he had managed on his own.

He did an excellent job and even received public praise from the chairman.

Now, it seemed the problem was complicated. Kelson indeed had no intention of negotiating with them anymore. Not only were they willing to give up on their initial investment, but they also intended to join forces with competitors to target them!

Thinking of this, a cold sweat broke out on Park Dae-jung’s forehead.

There was no time to delay anymore, if the deal was done on the other side and someone else spoke to the president before he did, his position as club president would be in jeopardy!

Park Dae-jung hurriedly grabbed his cellphone and dialed out, ”Assistant Kim, is President Li Zhengxuan there? I have something I need to report!”

...

Seven o’clock in the morning in Seattle.

Kevin had already gotten up, finished washing up, and was tying his bow tie in front of the mirror when his phone began to ring on the table.

Kevin glanced at it and saw the caller ID for Li Zhengxuan, a smile curling up at the corner of his mouth.

Not long after Kevin received this call, William got a text. After reading it, he stood up and said to the two club assistants, who had finished eating and drinking and were holding back their questions, ”It was a pleasure to have dinner with you both. Kelson is planning to enter the UH Country market. We hope to cooperate more with you in the future. Today’s dinner has enhanced our friendship, and I am very happy. There are other matters at the company I must attend to, so I shall take my leave now, looking forward to many more gatherings.”

When the translators relayed William’s words exactly, the expressions on the faces of the two club assistants were that of utter confusion.

Kevin had talked with Li Zhengxuan for an entire hour and had reached a preliminary cooperation agreement. Kevin had jacked up the price of all the acquired resources by one and a half times and sold them to BZ Corporation at a ”friendly price.”

”Mr. Kevin, you are truly clever! I am looking forward to working with your company! I hope we won’t be enemies anymore!” Li Zhengxuan said these words himself.

”I hope so too,” Kevin laughed over the phone, ”Also, President Li, you are lucky to have come across a company with integrity like Kelson. If you had met someone with the last name Bai, you really would have needed to be careful, haha.”

On the other end of the line, President Li Zhengxuan’s mouth twitched noticeably.

He obviously didn’t know anyone with the last name Bai, but Kevin’s remark about ”a company with integrity like Kelson” nearly made him spit blood with frustration.

Such a greedy, despicable European businessman!

Li Zhengxuan cursed furiously in his mind.

William, the special representative for Kelson, was already signing a contract with President Park Dae-jung, following the completion of talks between the leaders. The contract had been prepared in advance.

The moment he saw the contents of the contract, Park Dae-jung’s expression turned bitter.

On his recommendation, BZ had ended up making a significant loss in the end.

This would be a great and shameful disgrace in his professional career...

Moreover, he had the nagging feeling that the president would not let him off!

Everything was set in stone.

Kevin was in an exceptionally good mood; when Ariel appeared beside the dining table, he immediately reported the good news to his sister and proudly bragged about his achievements.

”Oh please, if it wasn’t for Bai Xiaosheng, you probably wouldn’t even know where to brood!” Ariel said disdainfully.

”Well, that’s true!” Kevin, uncharacteristically, didn’t argue back, ”What do you say about sending over a few bottles of century-old wine from our estate by air freight to show our token of appreciation?”

”No, I’d rather bring them in person when I get the chance!” Ariel said.

Thinking of Bai Xiaosheng, her beautiful eyes sparkled with excitement.

It’s hard to keep a younger sister in check!

Kevin sighed to himself.

Bai Xiaosheng was preparing to go to bed when he suddenly couldn’t help but sneeze several times, ”Do I have a cold, or is someone cursing me? Never mind, better rest early, I have to report to Mayor Ji Mingyang tomorrow! Everything is ready, just waiting for his approval!”

The matter with the Kevin Siblings had delayed him a little, but he had Lin Weiwei and others to help review the plan again and also take the chance to calm his mood, so it hadn’t been a waste of time.

The thought of the soon-to-be implemented plan excited even Bai Xiaosheng himself, filled with both anticipation and eagerness.

”The show is about to begin!”
