Walker Of The Worlds

Chapter 3628: Celebration And Oath

The ancestors gathered.

The calculations were shared.

The results explained.

And then...

The reaction came.

The Elder Council erupted.

Not in chaos.

But in overwhelming emotion.

Voices rose not in anger, but in disbelief. In pure and raw joy, in relief that could no longer be contained.

The sound spread... Through the sanctum, through the forest, through every root and branch that carried the connection of the Heart Tree.

And soon... The entire Mother Forest knew.

The news traveled faster than any messenger.

Faster than any array.

It spread through whispers.

Through shouts.

Through the silent understanding carried by the land itself.

”The Bloodline Shackle... can be removed.”

”The foxkin can be saved.”

”And the one who did it...”

A single name.

Repeated.

Again and again.

”Lin Mu.”

From the youngest cub to the oldest elder...

From the smallest tribe to the strongest lineage...

His name became the most spoken word.

Not as a title.

Not as a legend.

But as something more.

Hope.

And at the center of it all...

Lin Mu stood quietly.

Watching.

Working.

Unmoved by the noise.

Because for him... This was not the end. It was simply the continuation of the path.

A day later...

The Sanctum Hall had never felt like this before.

It was no longer simply a place of healing, nor a secluded chamber hidden within the Heart Tree. Today, it had become something far greater. A convergence point. A place where history itself seemed to pause, waiting to witness what would unfold.

The hall was filled.

Every ancestor.

Every high-ranking elder.

Representatives of the five great foxkin tribes.

And among them, standing quietly at the center...

Lin Mu.

For the first time in five months, he stood outside the research chamber, no longer surrounded by arrays, cauldrons, and flowing energy, but by people.

His companions were there too.

Daoist Chu, his ever-steady presence calm as he observed the gathering.

Cattaleya, her sharp eyes carrying both pride and disbelief.

Meng Bai, barely able to contain his excitement.

Elyon, silent, yet clearly impressed.

And of course Xueyan, whose tail never stopped moving for a moment.

They had not seen Lin Mu for months.

Five full months.

And in that time, they had known he was working. They had known he was attempting something difficult. But none of them had expected this.

They had expected some progress, perhaps.

A partial solution, at best.

But not perfection.

Not a method that could be repeated.

Scaled.

Applied to an entire race.

Their understanding of Lin Mu had already been high. And now it had shifted once more.

The hall quieted as Ancestor Huoyang stepped forward.

His presence carried weight. Not just as the leader of the Flame Fur Tribe. But as a voice representing all foxkin.

He looked at Lin Mu.

Then spoke.

”What Lin Mu has done...” his voice began, steady yet heavy with emotion, ”is something we could not have accomplished... not in ten thousand years... nor perhaps in a hundred thousand more.”

The hall remained silent.

Every word was heard and felt deeply.

”He has given us more than a solution,” Huoyang continued. ”He has given us hope.”

A pause.

”And more than that... he has ensured the continuation of our lineage.”

Yinglei stepped forward beside him.

Her voice joined his.

”Our children... and their children... will live because of him.”

A murmur passed through the gathered foxkin filled with emotion.

Huoyang bowed his head slightly.

”For this... he has our eternal gratitude.”

Lin Mu shook his head lightly.

”I only did what my mission required,” he said.

His tone was calm and grounded.

But the response was immediate.

The elders shook their heads.

”No,” Yinglei said firmly. ”This goes far beyond a mission.”

Huoyang’s gaze hardened with conviction.

”You have not simply completed a task. You have saved our race.”

The words settled deeply.

There was no exaggeration in them.

No embellishment.

Only truth.

Heavy and meaningful silence followed.

Then... Huoyang and Yinglei stepped forward together.

Their expressions shifted.

From gratitude... To solemnity.

”Today,” Huoyang said, ”we have gathered everyone here for a purpose.”

”To witness,” Yinglei continued, ”and to swear.”

SHUA

A subtle ripple passed through the hall as the air itself seemed to still.

Huoyang raised his hand.

A faint glow appeared upon his palm.

Blood.

Not spilled.

But drawn willingly.

Yinglei did the same.

”We swear...”

Their voices rose, carrying through the hall with undeniable weight.

”Upon our bloodline...”

The glow intensified.

”And under the witness of the Heavenly Dao...”

HUMM

The moment the words were spoken, something shifted.

The air grew heavier.

The space itself seemed to listen.

”We swear...”

Huoyang’s voice deepened.

”That from this day... until the end of time...”

Yinglei continued.

”We owe Lin Mu our lives.”

”Our bloodlines.”

”Our very being.”

The words struck like a bell.

Clear.

Irreversible.

”This oath shall not end with us,” Huoyang declared.

”It shall be carried by our children,” Yinglei said.

”And their children’s children...”

”And all who are yet to be born...”

The energy within the hall began to stir.

HUALA

A faint resonance.

Growing.

”Lin Mu is our savior.”

Huoyang’s voice carried no hesitation.

”We shall stand with him.”

”In battle...”

”In peace...”

”In celebration...”

”And in sorrow...”

The entire hall seemed to pulse with their words.

”His enemies...”

”Are our enemies.”

”His allies...”

”Are our allies.”

”His joy...”

”Is our joy.”

”His sorrow...”

”Is our sorrow.”

The oath deepened.

Expanding.

Binding.

”Our karma...”

Huoyang said slowly.

”Is now bound.”

”From this moment...”

Yinglei continued.

”Across the Immortal Realm...”

”The Celestial Realm...”

”And beyond.”

The weight of it became immense.

It was now unavoidable and unbreakable.

”You have granted life...”

”To those who are yet to be born...”

”And so...”

”We shall guard yours.”

”Your bloodline...”

”Your descendants...”

”Those who will come after you...”

”Shall carry our protection.”

The final words came together as an unified absolution.

”This is our oath.”

The moment it was spoken...

The world responded.

WOOONG

A wave.

Massive.

Invisible.

Swept across the Sanctum.

The very air trembled.

The ground beneath them seemed to resonate.

And then...

Four presences descended.

Colossal and ancient.

SHUA SHUA SHUA SHUA

The forms appeared slowly, their auras manifesting before their bodies did.

They were none other than the Four Guardian Beasts!

Their illusory forms took shape, towering above all present.

Every foxkin dropped to their knees instantly as shock, reverence and utter awe was visible on their faces. Even Lin Mu’s companions felt their hearts tighten. The presence alone was overwhelming.

The Guardian Beasts finally spoke.

Their voices were not singular but they echoed. As if multiple realities spoke at once.

”Lin Mu...”

The name carried across the hall like a decree.

”You have accomplished what we believed... beyond reach.”

”We acknowledge...”

”Your achievement.”

”And we...”

”Offer our gratitude.”

Lin Mu stood still.

Even he had not expected this.

The Guardian Beasts continued.

”We shall bear witness.”

”And we shall swear.”

The hall trembled.

”As long as Lin Mu...”

”And those of his blood...”

”Walk this world...”

”No harm...”

”Shall come to them.”

The words were absolute.

Not a promise.

But a new law.

”We bind this upon our honor...”

”As Guardian Beasts.”

The moment the oath was completed...

Everything changed.

The world...

Responded.

HONG LONG~

A massive resonance spread outward.

Beyond the Sanctum.

Beyond the forest.

Across the entire world.

The heavens trembled.

The sky itself seemed to ripple.

A presence descended.

Vast and unfathomable.

The Will of the Heavenly Dao!

It did not appear.

It did not take form.

And yet...

It was there.

Watching and acknowledging the oath.

Lin Mu felt it.

A pressure that was not exactly oppressive but still absolute.

And then... A connection formed.

Suddenly and instantly.

Lin Mu’s senses expanded.

He felt it.

Every foxkin present.

Their hearts.

Their emotions.

Their gratitude.

Their loyalty.

It flowed into him.

And beyond that...

He felt more.

The forest.

The creatures.

The life within this world.

For a brief moment...

It was as if he stood at the center of everything. He could feel billions if not trillions of hearts beating at once.

He was now connected, and recognized by the very world itself.

The oath had been accepted!

Not just by those who spoke it.

But by the world itself.

Lin Mu stood in silence.

For the first time in a long while...

He was truly... Utterly... Stunned.
