Walker Of The Worlds

Chapter 3620: The First Set Of Experiments

Lin Mu stood before the cylindrical chamber, his gaze unwavering as he initiated the first true experiment. Everything had been prepared with meticulous care, every variable accounted for to the best of his ability. Now, all that remained was to observe.

He raised his hand slightly, and with a controlled motion, began the first step.

The Nature Energy flowed.

It moved from the auxiliary container through the hollow vine conduits and entered the main chamber in a steady, gentle stream. The moment it filled the space, the effect was immediate.

The lump of refined bloodline essence trembled, as if something within it had been awakened.

Its surface rippled, the soft, spongy structure shifting in irregular patterns as though something within it had come alive. It writhed, twisted, and pulsed faintly, responding to the influx of energy in a way that was both fascinating and unsettling.

Lin Mu’s eyes sharpened.

He did not rely solely on observation.

The monitoring arrays activated, streams of information feeding directly into his mind. He tracked the absorption rate, the internal changes, and the interaction between the energy and the essence.

The result came quickly.

”Two percent...” Lin Mu murmured.

The lump absorbed only a small fraction of the Nature Energy before stabilizing.

After that, it refused to take in any more.

No matter how he adjusted the flow, the result remained the same.

”That is its saturation limit,” Lin Mu concluded.

He noted it carefully.

Nature Energy alone could not push it further.

It was stabilizing, but not transformative.

Lin Mu did not hesitate and he moved to the next step.

The Beast Qi.

He shifted his focus to the second container and began releasing the energy into the main chamber. Unlike the Nature Energy, this was done with extreme caution.

A single wisp entered.

Then another.

And another.

Each thread of Beast Qi was thin, controlled, and deliberate. Lin Mu did not allow even the slightest fluctuation as he observed how the system reacted.

There was no reaction.

The Beast Qi drifted downward, remaining separate from the surrounding Nature Energy, pooling at the bottom like a foreign substance.

Lin Mu frowned slightly.

He continued.

Ten wisps.

Fifty.

A hundred.

The two energies remained distinct, unwilling to merge.

Lin Mu extended his immortal sense, attempting to guide the process. The arrays responded as well, adjusting the internal flow, agitating the energies to encourage interaction.

But the result remained unchanged.

”They are rejecting each other,” Lin Mu thought.

He increased the amount.

Two hundred wisps.

Three hundred.

The outcome did not change.

The Beast Qi remained stubborn, pooling at the bottom, completely separate from the Nature Energy that surrounded the lump.

Lin Mu did not stop.

He adjusted the flow again, increasing the density, carefully maintaining balance to avoid destabilization.

Four hundred wisps.

Five hundred.

Then...

At exactly five hundred and seventy one wisps...

Something changed.

The Beast Qi shifted.

It did not merge fully, but it began to interact.

Thin strands of it rose slightly, brushing against the surrounding Nature Energy, creating faint ripples where the two met.

Lin Mu’s eyes narrowed.

”That is the threshold,” he said.

He had found the ratio.

But the problem remained.

The lump did not react.

It remained suspended, unchanged, as if completely indifferent to the interaction occurring around it.

Lin Mu focused.

He guided the Beast Qi, attempting to bring it into contact with the lump.

The result was immediate.

It bounced off.

Like water striking a solid surface.

Lin Mu’s brows furrowed.

He tried again.

And again.

Each attempt yielded the same result.

Rejection.

The Beast Qi would not enter.

Days passed.

Lin Mu continued experimenting, adjusting the ratio, the flow, the method of introduction. He increased the amount gradually, testing different approaches, refining his control with each attempt.

There were failures.

Many.

Some attempts caused the lump to destabilize, its structure breaking down into unusable fragments. Others resulted in violent reactions, where the internal energy collapsed and exploded outward.

Each time, the chamber held firm.

The arrays absorbed the impact, containing the damage entirely.

Lin Mu did not falter.

He recorded each failure.

Analyzed each result.

Adjusted his approach.

Fifteen lumps were used.

Fifteen complete failures.

Then...

On the sixteenth attempt...

Something changed.

The Beast Qi touched the lump.

This time, it did not bounce away.

It sank in.

Just slightly.

Lin Mu’s eyes sharpened instantly.

He maintained absolute control, slowing the flow to the bare minimum as he observed the interaction. The Beast Qi was being absorbed.

Not completely or smoothly, but it was entering.

”That is it...” Lin Mu murmured.

He continued carefully, feeding the energy in controlled amounts, ensuring that the balance between Nature Energy and Beast Qi remained stable.

The process was slow.

Painfully slow.

But it was working.

The lump began to change.

Subtly at first.

Its internal structure shifted, the energy within it responding to the new influence. Lin Mu monitored every detail, his immortal sense capturing even the smallest fluctuations.

Time passed.

Days bled into weeks, which bled into months.

Lin Mu did not stop.

He maintained the process, refining his method with each iteration, improving his control, reducing waste, increasing efficiency.

Nearly a quarter of his stored Beast Qi was consumed.

But he did not hesitate.

Finally...

The change came.

The lump trembled.

Then twisted.

Its structure softened, reshaping itself as if it were clay being kneaded by unseen hands. The color shifted as well, becoming lighter, less dense, as the internal composition transformed.

Lin Mu watched without blinking.

Hours passed.

The process continued.

Only when the lump ceased absorbing energy did Lin Mu stop.

He exhaled slowly.

”It is complete.”

Carefully, he extracted the lump from the chamber.

Now came the true test.

He raised his hands.

Dark Demonic Qi gathered once more as he activated the Bloodline Unraveling Demonic Art.

The tendrils extended.

Touched the lump.

And in an instant...

It burst apart.

The fragments stabilized quickly, forming into distinct shapes.

Crystals.

Lin Mu’s gaze locked onto them.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.
