Hogwarts: Even Voldemort Can't Stop Me From Studying

Chapter 859: Chapter 230: The Flash of Green Light

Grindelwald’s tone carried deep anticipation and a subtle mockery.

Antoine’s eye twitched quickly.

He suddenly realized that the leader was not only hoping for Vid to grow from this encounter, but also for him to display some Magic Traces that shouldn’t belong to ”Vid Gray” in a moment of crisis.

At that time, Vid would have no choice—

With the precedent set by Voldemort, the British Wizards who’ve nestled in peace for over a decade are fragile and cowardly, utterly incapable of accepting another ”Dark Wizard” emerging from Hogwarts.

The more outstanding Vid Gray becomes, the more fear they will have.

And that child is not someone who would endure pressure from all sides, insisting on staying in a place that doubts, excludes, and hates him, to prove goodwill and loyalty.

If the Magic World and everyone at Hogwarts turn malicious towards him and question his position, he would choose the comparatively more rational approach—

Which is to leave Hogwarts, leave the United Kingdom, and truly join the Witch Pure Party.

This realization made Antoine’s heart clench, he lowered his eyes to conceal the inner struggle.

As part of the Witch Pure Party, he ought to look forward to a comrade’s joining;

But as a friend, he couldn’t suppress his hope... hoping Vid could thrive under the sunshine, as he wishes, freely.

But... can it truly be done?

...

Harry didn’t think much about fairness or not, to him, every second now was a life-and-death battle.

He gripped his Magic Wand tightly, facing the terrifying Dark Lord, took a deep breath, and tried to calm himself down.

”So... a Wizard duel?” Harry asked.

At this moment, what flashed in his mind were the scenes of Vid and Malfoy’s duel, and the process in the forest where he and Vid alternated fighting Sirius and Lupin.

A trace of anger flickered across Voldemort’s pale face—this young scoundrel’s remarks evidently infuriated him.

But he quickly let himself show a smile full of malice, saying, ”Come on then, let’s bow to each other, Harry; Dumbledore must want you to show some grace.”

[Grace?]

Harry couldn’t help but recall Vid’s initial mockery:

[In real combat, no one bows to you stupidly, if you can ambush, then ambush; if not, avoid first, protect yourself.]

[Only when the disparity in strength is extreme is there room for elegance and grace.]

—Disparity in strength?

That’s exactly what it is now!

Voldemort upholds the so-called grace of the Dark Lord, while Harry cannot attack or avoid as Vid suggested.

At this moment, the whole world is watching this duel, he cannot shame Hogwarts because of himself.

Harry looked firmly at the opponent, bowing slightly with Voldemort, movements precise like a mirror image.

”Very well.” A streak of surprise flashed across Voldemort’s eyes, then turned into a cruel smile: ”Looks like you’re ready to meet the God of Death, now—let’s duel!”

He abruptly raised his Magic Wand:

”Crucio!”

”Expelliarmus!”

Almost simultaneously, Harry loudly shouted the Spell he was most adept at.

The two beams collided in mid-air; Harry was about to move to the side when the Magic Wand in his hand suddenly began to vibrate violently.

He quickly held onto his Magic Wand, then widened his eyes in surprise—as the two colliding Spells neither bounced away nor neutralized explosively, but linked into a dazzling golden line.

The gold light, like intense electricity, made the two Magic Wands vibrate intensely and tightly locked the Wizards on both sides.

Harry desperately gripped his Magic Wand, while the opposing Voldemort struggled hard, but couldn’t sever the golden line.

Both of their bodies rose uncontrolled into the air, several feet above their heads was the shattered stained glass of the chapel dome, and in their gaze, were faces equally surprised and amazed.

Suddenly, the golden beam split into thousands of brilliant light arcs, interweaving in mid-air into a magnificent cage, trapping them inside.

The Death Eaters on the ground shouted in panic, launching Magic Spells at the cage, but without exception, were all blocked outside.

In an instant, every light line began to tremble, a Phoenix song sounded majestically from the void, with large light orbs sliding along the lines, shining with warm light.

An epiphany struck Harry, he focused all his thoughts to drive the light orbs, letting them flow along the golden line toward Voldemort’s wand.

As the light orbs slowly approached, Voldemort looked somewhat shocked, even started to feel fear, he roared and struggled, but could only watch as the foremost orb touched his wand tip.

”Aaahhhh—”

The wand in his hand suddenly screamed in agony, echoing endlessly in the chapel, the surrounding Death Eaters all covered their ears.

Afterward, a smoky hand flew out from Voldemort’s wand, and disappeared...

Following that, a larger object emerged... it was a person, a man with curly hair, dressed in pajamas, his face with a dazed and surprised expression.

”Help, child.” He said with a pained voice, ”This land is my ancestral property, he took everything from me...”

The wand screamed in agony again, and another smoke-formed figure emerged, looking like a foreigner...

”Stop! Potter!”

While the other Death Eaters were dumbly gazing up at the two confronting each other in the air, Barty Crouch Jr suddenly charged out, his Magic Wand pressed against Vid’s chest, shouting: ”Or I’ll let this brat taste the Cruciatus Curse!”

Vid raised his palm, a peculiar force within him boiling, he looked at Barty, a stretch of his hand could grasp his wrist...

”Don’t move, child.”

Just as the Magic Power was about to burst forth, a voice suddenly drifted to his ear like a feather.

Vid’s movement paused slightly.

This voice was both unfamiliar and familiar to him.

Unfamiliar because he never encountered someone with such a tone in memory;

Familiar because... it was very similar to the song echoing in the chapel this moment.

He suddenly thought of something, looking at Harry high in the sky and halted his action.

Harry hesitated only for two seconds, when the third grayish-white figure emerged from Voldemort’s wand tip, he shouted:

”Please, stop him!”

Then, he fiercely flicked his Magic Wand upward, the golden line snapped immediately, the web of light vanished, and the Phoenix song disappeared.

Ghostly figures all rushed towards Voldemort, enclosing him tightly, reaching elongated fingers to grab his eyes.

Voldemort looked at these people he killed, emitting fear-stricken and angry howls.

Harry, not fully landed yet, while still in mid-air, swung his Magic Wand forcefully:

”Expelliarmus!”

Barty Jr was thrown out instantly, the Magic Wand slipped from his grip, crashing heavily against the stone pillar.

But the surrounding Death Eaters had already rushed forward:

”Stupefy!”

”Crucio!”

”Sectumsempra!”

Harry rolled to dodge, he ran very fast, the lights of Spells crisscrossing behind him. The teenager swiftly counterattacked, causing two more Death Eaters to fall with a thud!

”Out of the way!” Voldemort’s shrill screams came from behind: ”I want to kill him! He’s mine!”

The Death Eaters hesitated to stop attacking, but Harry rushed toward Vid without stopping, cloak streaming fiercely behind him—

At this moment, he even completely forgot the fear of death, the light in his eyes even brighter than the sun itself!

”Avada Kedavra!”

The Dark Lord’s roar shattered the air, green light shot straight across the distance, accurately hitting Harry’s back!

The black-haired teenager staggered two steps forward, desperately stretched out his arm, his green eyes wide open, filled with strong regret and resentment.

”Thud!”

The Savior collapsed before Vid, only a foot away.

Vid slowly raised his eyes.
