Hogwarts: Even Voldemort Can't Stop Me From Studying

Chapter 429: Chapter 118: Just Pretend I Was Never Here

The wizards who arrived later on the island did not all know the ins and outs of the situation.

In fact, it was Professor McGonagall who contacted the Minister of Ministry of Magic Fudge and Head of the Auror Office Scrimgeour. The other wizards were ordered to come and did not know what kind of enemy they would face before arriving.

When they appeared with the Portkey, they saw the Obscurus wreaking havoc above the island, with Dumbledore and several Hogwarts professors fighting against the Dark Creatures.

Many people were killed by the Obscurus, and more Muggles lay fallen on the ground.

The Aurors naturally assumed their most familiar role, namely: fighting the Dark Creatures and protecting the weak and pitiful Muggles.

A young Auror with purplish-red hair saw a severely injured Muggle groaning on the edge of the battlefield and immediately used magic to pull the person out of the dangerous situation where he was nearly engulfed in the black mist.

”Are you alright? Where are you hurt? Oh, sorry!”

She accidentally used too much force, causing the soldier to hit the nearby lamppost, and the young Auror felt as if she heard the sound of bones breaking.

The soldier almost rolled his eyes, gasping for breath, unable to speak.

”Sorry, sorry! I’m always this clumsy. Are you okay? Does it hurt a lot?”

The young Auror hastily apologized, and her hair turned gray with her emotions.

The soldier squinted, watching her hair change color, coughed a few times, and asked, ”Who are you?”

”Me? I’m Nymphadora Tonks, but you can call me Tonks.” Tonks said guiltily, ”Hold on a moment, I’ll find someone to heal you.”

”You are...wizards?”

The soldier had already seen many wizards raising their magic wands to control the Obscurus but still asked, ”Are you all?”

”Yes, we are all wizards from the British Ministry of Magic.”

Tonks nodded and suddenly remembered that this was against the Confidentiality Law, and couldn’t help but feel a little panicked.

Then she recalled that in this situation, confidentiality no longer mattered. As long as the memory of all the Muggles was erased afterward, she would not have broken the law.

Tonks patted the Muggle soldier’s arm reassuringly and said:

”Don’t worry, your injury can be healed in just a second! We will soon deal with that guy above too. Tomorrow morning when you wake up, everything will be back to normal.”

The soldier did not respond as he watched this witch with hair that changes color draw her magic wand and join the fight against the black mist.

Nobody paid attention to these struggling Muggles, nor did they think they could do anything but flee and scream. When the Obscurus appeared, the wizards’ primary opponent naturally shifted.

While spitting blood, the soldier crawled toward the ruins of a building not far away.

He was just a low-ranking soldier, unaware of what an Obscurus was, and not really understanding the research in the base either.

However, he had been indoctrinated for a long time that, since a very long time ago, evil wizards were servants of the Devil, bringing endless disasters to the world and were the root of ordinary people’s poverty, disease, and misfortune.

To the soldier, it seemed to be true — everything was fine before, but when the wizards arrived, the ”Black Devil” suddenly appeared, and buildings collapsed as if the sky and earth were falling apart, with people around being wiped out like weeds.

It wasn’t just numbers or symbols; they were his friends, his comrades, and the people he cared about.

The soldier arduously crawled to the edge of the ruins, pushed aside the rubble, and extracted an assault rifle from beneath a corpse.

He shifted his heavy body to the side of a concrete block, using nearby stones to support the gun, aiming its muzzle at the wizards over there.

Blood trickled from his forehead into his eyes, blurring his vision, making it impossible to see the figures clearly.

But it didn’t matter, for the soldier, anyone standing there was an enemy.

Including that fussing witch from before.

He took a deep breath and pulled the trigger without hesitation—

”Dada-dada-dada...”

The sound of intensive gunfire, bullets shot toward the wizards fighting the Obscurus like heavy rain.

Immediately, the chests and abdomens of six or seven people spurted blood flowers, the remaining wizards hurriedly cast the Iron Armor Spell to protect themselves, and some rushed behind cover.

The originally orderly suppression of the Obscurus was immediately disrupted, and with a ”whoosh,” the Obscurus sprang away, with the wizards only managing to shatter a piece of its tail.

A flash of spell light came from the sky, and the gun barrel twisted at once, with Dumbledore appearing with a grim face.

With a flick of his magic wand, the assault rifle flew away.

”Damn, what on earth is going on?”

Scrimgeour, in a fit of rage, swung his wand, knocking away the soldier’s concrete block, followed by a crisp explosion sound.

”Bang!”

Scrimgeour swiftly flicked his wand, a transparent shield appeared before him, but he wasn’t under any attack.

After seeing the scene in front of him clearly, the lion-like man’s expression stiffened, with nowhere to vent his full of rage.

The soldier who fired had already used a handgun to end his own life, head bowed, and legs casually spread apart, seemingly silently mocking the arrogant wizards.

”Help! Help—”

Another young Auror holding Tonks, seeing her covered in blood, cried out loudly, ”Help, she is dying!”

”Shut up! Haven’t you learned the Blood-Stop Spell?”

Scrimgeour cursed in anger, limping over to use his wand to heal Tonks.
