War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

4257 The Yun Clan’s Father and Son In fact, Yun Qing Yan did not have strong feelings for Ke’er. If anything, the marriage agreement made him feel possessive of her as though she was his private possession that no one could touch or defile. It was only natural that he was furious and murderous when he found out Xia Ning Xue who reincarnated into Ke’er had a husband and a child. At that time, he really wanted to kill her husband even though she threatened him with her life. He only managed to restrain himself when he recalled his father’s words about him needing Ke’er in the future when he became the Clan Leader of the Yun clan.

After bringing Ke’er back to the Divine Offering Land, Yin Qing Yan had to return to the Xia clan upon her father’s request. He also left those related to Duan Ling Tian in the Xia clan to be imprisoned and kept as hostages. Before he left the Xia clan, her father had promised to marry her to him in a thousand years after the Realm Battlefield closed. The Xia clan would use the hostages to force her to comply. Under such circumstances, he left the Xia clan feeling assured.

Unexpectedly, after a few hundred years, something big happened to the Xia clan. A few powerhouses from the Sanction Land went to the Xia clan and stirred up a huge commotion. At that time, Xia Jie, the Third Master of the Xia clan, seized the chance and released Duan Ling Tian’s family and friends before sending them away from the Divine Offering Land.

Once Ke’er found out that Duan Ling Tian’s family and friends were freed, Yun Qing Yan knew he would not be able to force her to marry him. Even then, he did not think it was a big problem; he thought he still had a chance to recover. He planned to wait until the Realm Battlefield closed and the spatial passages between the Realms of Gods and the lower realms opened before going to the lower realms again to recapture Duan Ling Tian’s family and friends. He did not mind spending a little extra effort to do this, and his father agreed with his plan as well.

Alas, it was beyond Yun Qing Yan’s expectations that Duan Ling Tian, who was like an ant in front of him in the past, had grown so strong in fewer than a thousand years. During his latest encounter with Duan Ling Tian, Duan Ling Tian nearly killed him. If it were not for the imprint his father left on him using his bloodline power, he would have died. After the close call with death, he became fearful of Duan Ling Tian. The encounter also made his father realize that the initial plan was now useless due to Duan Ling Tian’s unexpected growth. Even if the Yun clan sent people to the lower realms to recapture Duan Ling Tian’s family friends, it would be useless since their powers would be suppressed in the lower realms due to the natural law. After all, at that time, Duan Ling Tian might have already become an intermediate Supreme God. Since Duan Ling Tian was a native of the lower realm, his doppelganger from the law of space alone could deal with the powerhouses they sent.

!! With that in mind, Yun Qing Yan and his father quickly came up with a new plan. They sent their men to stand guard near the Xia clan’s estate to intercept Ke’er if she returned to prevent her from finding out that Duan Ling Tian’s family and friends had been released. Once she found out about it, with her temperament, it would be impossible to force her to comply with their wishes. After all, in the past, she was so stubborn that she rather kill herself than marry Yun Qing Yan. If they did not grasp her weakness, there would be no way to force her to submit.

The father and son planned to threaten Ke’er and bring her back to the Yun clan before asking an expert in soul techniques to erase her memories. They would then force her to bear Yun Qing Yan’s child. Even if she recovered her memories or was unwilling, she would not dare to act recklessly if her child’s life was on the line. The Yun clan would be able to use the child to force her to comply with their wishes.

Alas, based on the current situation, it seemed like Ke’er had obtained a prominent divine artifact that could destroy soul techniques on the Realm Battlefield.

Upon this discovery, Yun Qing Yan’s father told him through Voice Transmission that they had two options left. One, they could continue to leave her in the dark and threaten her with Duan Ling Tian’s family and friends, forcing her to marry him. Two, they could snatch and destroy her prominent divine artifact before erasing her memories. Of the two options, the latter was naturally much more difficult.

At this time, the Clan Leader of the Yun clan looked at Ke’er and said, “Xue’er, I visited your father some time ago and brought your family and friends to the Yun clan. Don’t you want to meet them?”

After weighing the pros and cons, the Clan Leader of the Yun clan decided to lure Ke’er back to the Yun clan first. He would deal with her once she let her guard down. He had a feeling that if he pushed her too far now, she would go to the extremes.

Ke’er sneered. “Clan Leader Yun, I don’t believe a single word you said at all. Before meeting someone from the Xia clan, there’s no way I’ll follow you back to the Yun clan. I’m more interested in finding out why you’re so adamant about preventing me from returning to the Xia clan. What happened to the Xia clan?”

At this moment, Ke’er had already mobilized her Divine Energy, prepared to release it as soon as the Clan Leader of the Yun clan made a move. She would not hesitate to end her life immediately if she was forced to do so. Nonetheless, she thought it was unlikely that the Clan Leader of the Yun clan would force her to go to such extremes. She only showed her determination to end her life now to find out what happened to the Xia clan.

The Clan Leader of the Xia clan frowned when he saw how determined and vigilant Ke’er was.

At the same time, Yun Qing Yan asked anxiously through Voice Transmission, “Father, w-what do we do now? It seems like she’s going to end her life again if we stop her from returning to the Xia clan. Father, based on how stubborn she was in the past, she’ll definitely end her life if we force her…”

Yun Qing Yan naturally did not want Ke’er to die. Her death would not benefit him at all.

The Clan Leader of the Yun clan scoffed before he said angrily to Yun Qing Yan, “I know that. I, the Clan Leader of the Yun clan, really didn’t expect to be threatened by a little girl. If this spreads out, I’ll become a laughingstock. It’s all your fault. I wouldn’t have to go through so much trouble if you were as capable as her!”

Not only was Yun Qing Yan inferior to the Clan Leader of the Yun clan, but he was also inferior to the elders. Even if Yun Qing Yan successfully became the Clan Leader of the Yun clan, no one would fear him. His father and his ancestors would not be able to protect him forever, after all. As such, his father arranged for him to marry Ke’er, who was not related to him by blood, to consolidate his power. Alas, his plan was met with many obstacles.

Yun Qing Yan remained silent after being rebuked by his father. Despite feeling unresigned, he did not dare to retort at all.

“What? Do you feel unresigned?”

As Yun Qing Yan’s father, the Clan Leader of the Yun clan naturally understood Yun Qing Yan. He said, “It’s not just Xia Ning Xue, you also can’t compare to Duan Ling Tian. Duan Ling Tian can kill you with just a finger! I don’t know how he did it, but for a native of the lower realm to grow so strong in such a short time, he’s a monster among monsters. From what I know, even the supreme powerhouse, who are natives of the lower realms, weren’t as heaven-defying as him. It’s only a matter of time before he becomes a supreme powerhouse.”

After a brief pause, the Clan Leader of the Yun clan continued to say, “In fact, we could’ve still abandoned the plan of marrying Xia Ning Xue to you. However, you thoroughly offended Duan Ling Tian. He has an even higher chance of becoming a supreme powerhouse compared to me and Xia Yu! It won’t be hard for him to seek revenge from you in the future. Alas, there’s nothing we can do now. We can only continue to force Xia Ning Xue to marry you to help you strengthen your position in the clan. Most importantly, we need to use her to deal with Duan Ling Tian. Our top priority now is to kill Duan Ling Tian. Otherwise, he’ll be a serious threat to you and the Yun clan.”

The Clan of Leader of the Yun clan’s voice turned grim near the end of his words.

Yun Qing Yan’s expression was rather unsightly at this moment. He knew his father’s concerns were valid. If Duan Ling Tian continued to grow unchecked, Duan Ling Tian would definitely be a serious threat to him and the Yun clan. After a moment, he said through Voice Transmission, “Father, why don’t we ask the old ancestor to kill Duan Ling Tian? Won’t it be easy for him, a supreme powerhouse, to kill Duan Ling Tian?”

In Yun Qing Yan’s opinion, the Yun clan’s old ancestor, who was a supreme powerhouse, was extremely strong. Other supreme powerhouses aside, there should be no one his old ancestor could not kill. It would be extremely easy for his old ancestor to kill Duan Ling Tian.

After Yun Qing Yan finished speaking, he looked at his father with eyes that shone with hope and anticipation.
