Emperor’s Domination

The immortal’s refusal was understandable. Taking a mortal into Omen Path was nothing but asking for trouble. Moreover, why should he entertain the notion?

“I have to take the brat to Dusk Realm.” Alas, Mo Xiangsheng had bragged about it previously and didn’t wish to give up.

The immortal ignored him and entered the path. After all, an overlord was only a minor character in comparison.

He didn’t give up and asked all the incoming immortals. He received the same answer each time. Some paused after hearing his affiliation but Li Qiye’s mortal nature killed the deal.

“You go with them.” Li Qiye smiled and shook his head: “I can go by myself.”

“Is that a joke? Your puny frame will disperse into blood instantly.” He said: “Brat, I promised you already and will come up with a way. Don’t worry, I won’t let you die before you accept me as your master.”

“Who will take us along?” Li Qiye said.

“I don’t have enough face but our alliance’s badge should be useful enough.” He said confidently.

Li Qiye chuckled in response.

“Is that doubt I see on your face? Have you heard of our alliance? Of course not, you’re just a mortal. Let me tell you then, we’re one of the ten great alliances.” He said.

“Ten great alliances?” Li Qiye repeated.

“It’s actually Ten Minor Alliances. Okay, don’t focus on the ‘minor’ part, we’re still immensely powerful.” He said.

“I see.” Li Qiye nodded.

In reality, he wasn’t exaggerating. The ten minor alliances had overlords and even immortals.

“Although we can’t compare to behemoths such as Guardian and Heaven Assault Alliance, we do have primordial immortals among us. For example, Ash-Serpent from Vagabond Alliance, Xiaolou Tingxue from Foreign Alliance, who is also a member of Heaven Assault. You probably have no idea how strong Xiaolou Tingxue is.” He said before waving dismissively: “I suppose you don’t understand what a primordial immortal is. Just know that we have immortals, and our founder, Amethyst Immortal, is a golden immortal. We have to be patient, Amethyst Immortal might come and take us with him.”

“Have to rely on someone else?” Li Qiye smiled.

“There is no shame in asking for help. Remember, the dao is long and you alone can’t do everything, you have to understand when to ask for help. Of course, you can help others too. This is to help fill the world with love, remember this.” He said.

“Well said, and a rather ambitious goal.” Li Qiye said earnestly.

“You’re learning fast. I see great things waiting for you in the future, after becoming my disciple, of course.” He said.

“No thanks.” Li Qiye said.

“Brat, don’t you know others dream about becoming my disciples? They kneel and beg only for me to turn a blind eye. It is your fortune and honor.” He said.

“Someone else can have this fortune. I don’t want to explode randomly from having so much luck.” Li Qiye joked.

“Blind fool, ignorant and ungrateful, can’t even recognize kindness, useless pile of mud...” He went on and on after the repeated refusal.

Other overlords might not have given someone the choice and would just kill them out of pride. In this case, he continued to help Li Qiye get to Dusk Realm.

Alas, the immortals viewed Li Qiye as an unwanted stepchild. He embarrassed himself each time and could only stand and watch.

“Child, what are you doing?” An old man appeared out of nowhere, sitting on a rock.

He wore a robe made from coarse cloth. His pants were rolled up high as if he had just returned from working in the fields. Immortal flames could be seen flowing in the corners of his eyes.

He had a dark complexion and numerous wrinkles, seemingly having endured sun and wind for countless years. He smoked a long tobacco pipe, exhaling clouds with ease.

One could mistake him for a farmer who was finally on a break, just relaxing at the village entrance and smoking his pipe.
