Emperor’s Domination

“If your progenitor had saved this world, why did it need saving again?” Li Qiye asked.

“Uhh...” He smiled awkwardly.

“Not always easy being a savior.” Li Qiye said.

“Yes.” He nodded in agreement.

“Go on, what happened?” Li Qiye finished his cup.

Why was Mundane Immortal viewed as a savior afterward if the world had been saved?

“Our sect declined fully, and the tribulations returned.” He poured another cup for Li Qiye.

“This explanation might fool a child but from what I can tell, this world was built correctly and with the help of Heaven Pit, no new tribulations would descend. Your progenitor did a good job in this, so your sect’s declination mattered not.” Li Qiye said.

“Young-, no, Sir, you can tell? You must be a master, an immortal.” His expression changed and he immediately bowed.

“Don’t assume what I am, I’m just a mortal.” Li Qiye shook his head.

He didn’t believe Li Qiye but his eyes told him otherwise.

“Then, how do you know?” He asked.

“Only an immortal can know?” Li Qiye smiled.

“Only they have the powers to see this.” He said.

“Go on.” Li Qiye said.

“Hmm...” He hesitated since this pertained to their sect’s reputation.

“Let me guess.” Li Qiye smiled.

“Guess? Do you already know about it?” He was caught off guard again.

“I don’t, but from what I can see, the crater must be your sect.” Li Qiye shook his head.

“Yes, that is exactly right. You are really from the outside...” He became emotional.

“Your sect must have been rebuilt since whatever happened back then nearly destroyed it and Survivor Realm.”

“....” This was his sect’s heavily guarded secret. After so many years have passed, people with knowledge of it were no longer around.

“A great disaster, certainly.” Li Qiye said.

He didn’t know whether to divulge it. After all, everyone considered his progenitor to be a savior, a legend to be worshipped.

“It’s fine if you don’t want to talk, it’s not hard to find out the truth.” Li Qiye smiled.

“You’re right, it was a disaster indeed.” He sighed and nodded: “It nearly destroyed Survivor Realm. The progenitor paid with his price for stabilization but due to a hole in the sky, tribulations poured in again.”

“What did your progenitor do? Certainly not easy for an immortal to die.” Li Qiye said.

“I don’t know the details, only that the progenitor entered Heavenfall’s path and brought something back. It somehow exploded later and he sacrificed himself to protect Survivor Realm. Alas, our sect was still destroyed and it pierced a hole in the sky.”

“And then tribulations returned to ravage everyone.” Li Qiye said.

“Yes.” He nodded: “Fortunately, Mundane Immortal descended to shoulder the tribulations and fix the hole. She also spread her grand dao everywhere and started the monastery.”

“The mortal world shouldn’t have immortals, but this isn’t always the case.” Li Qiye said: “Your progenitor was worthy of being called a savior. Although he made a mistake, he maintained his conviction to the bitter end.”

“You think so too, Sir?” He was ecstatic to hear this.

“Yes, since he was able to absorb tribulations, he could have escaped the entire time. However, he still suppressed the destruction until death, truly a heroic end to atone for his mistake.” Li Qiye said.

“Thank you, Sir.” He bowed deeply upon hearing this.

His progenitor was powerful enough to leave Ruin. Moreover, a minor world meant nothing to immortals. Nevertheless, he sacrificed himself to save it.

“What a shame.” He lamented his progenitor’s fate. If that incident hadn’t happened, his progenitor would still be alive and his sect would still be the strongest in Survivor Realm.
