Genshin Impact: Spoiling the Future

Vihar closed his eyes and made a wish. When he opened his eyes again, he was filled with surprise.

[Vihar: ”Ah—— This is…!”]

[Paimon, surprised and covering her mouth: ”Ah!?”]

This kind of surprise aroused the readers’ curiosity. Did it come true? It didn’t come true!? Let us see too!

With hearts pounding in excitement and hands trembling, the readers’ page-turning motions were somewhat hesitant.

In their hearts they desperately hoped to see Dunyarzad appear, yet they were also a little afraid that ”she” would really appear.

Because everyone knew that at this moment Dunyarzad had already left. What would appear could only be fake.

If they saw a fake puppet appear, smiling so gently with Dunyarzad’s face, it would truly be another stab to the heart.

When they flipped to the next page, the illustration showed a little girl.

[Vihar: ”…Isn’t this Little Pachi? One Yalda Candy per person. Hurry home now.”]

The readers breathed a sigh of relief at the same time as they felt a bit annoyed.

The timing of this child’s appearance was far too coincidental, wasn’t it? Go play somewhere else!

Everyone had really thought they had found the main body of the dream and that Dunyarzad would appear. Their hearts had been extremely tense, and they were still wondering what kind of emotion they should use to face her, only for it to turn out to be a ”misleading camera angle.”

Shikikan, this person, was truly detestable. He even deliberately placed the following segment on the next page to create suspense.

Fortunately, everyone had already grown accustomed to being tormented by Shikikan. Most readers didn’t even realize they were being tormented and calmly continued reading.

Then they saw Paimon start up again — another backhanded stab.

[Paimon: ”But speaking of which, everyone who knows Dunyarzad really likes her a lot, yet she left without anyone knowing…”]

Paimon was ”really something.” Even at a time like this she still didn’t forget to remind everyone of Dunyarzad’s departure.

No, Little Paimon, are you ever going to stop!? Do you still have any resin left!? How are we supposed to stay calm like this!

What made everyone even more unable to calm down was that Dunyarzad really did appear. It was that puppet, and this was precisely the moment she was attacked by the Eremites.

The Eremites arrived at the perfect time! Truly the perfect time!

This cycle of blunt knife cutting flesh had already filled the Traveler’s heart with pent-up depressive energy. The Eremites’ appearance was simply the best outlet to vent it.

[Traveler, running while speaking: ”Let me go teach them a lesson.”]

Without another word the Traveler ran toward the source of the sound. Paimon was still confused — weren’t they going to continue searching for the main body? Dehya would handle this matter.

This was exactly where Paimon’s low emotional intelligence showed. What she didn’t understand was that what the Traveler wanted to resolve at this moment wasn’t the Eremites, but the frustration that had been accumulating in her own chest.

[Dehya, seeing the Traveler arrive: ”…Oh? It’s you. You came at the right time. Please take…”]

[Traveler directly interrupts: ”You take Dunyarzad and leave first.”]

This completely stumped Dehya. Being a bodyguard was her job, and the Traveler wasn’t even paying her wages, yet she was rushing to take over?

The Traveler had already lost the patience to explain anything to Dehya.

[Traveler: ”Don’t waste words.”]

The Traveler’s conduct had always been very high-class. At this moment these three words were already at the level of ”swear words” for her.

The readers said it still wasn’t enough — her conduct was still too high!

Everyone had been cycling together with the Traveler. This feeling of loneliness and frustration had always been bottled up in their hearts.

Previously there had been Nahida’s guidance, Paimon’s companionship, and the goal of saving Dunyarzad, so it could still be suppressed.

But everything erupted the moment Dunyarzad died. The exploding depressive energy made everyone filled with aggression right now.

This group of Eremites had come at just the right time. They were just worrying about having nowhere to vent this anger!

[Badis: ”Called for help, huh? Hmph, baffling. Courting death!”]

The readers couldn’t even be bothered to read this Eremite’s line. Hurry up already — beat him up hard!

Lucian satisfied everyone’s desire. Later he used illustrations to show just how miserably the Eremites were beaten by the Traveler.

Traveler: This is Mantis Fist, this is Snake Steps! And Lotus Float! Take another Scorpion Palm from me!

The final Crow Sitting on Airplane plus Tornado Destroying the Parking Lot ended the battle.

In the illustration the Eremites were beaten until they were rolling on the ground and passed out. Only then did the Traveler ease some of her emotions, but it still wasn’t enough — there were still many techniques left unused.

[Paimon said: ”Traveler… you were completely venting your anger on them, weren’t you?”]

[Traveler, brows furrowed: ”I’m just a bit angry at myself.”]

This sentence also left the readers silent. So the Traveler was also angry at herself, just like Nahida.

In fact the readers were angry too, but it was a little different. What everyone was mainly angry about was the Great Sage — they attributed the fault to the Great Sage.

Because everyone definitely wouldn’t blame the Traveler and Nahida for something like this, saying things like ”if only you had been faster this wouldn’t have happened.”

That kind of talk was too illogical. It was like blaming the people who rushed over risking their lives to put out a fire for arriving too late.

Was that reasonable? Shouldn’t you blame the person who set the fire instead?

The readers’ mentality was exactly this. If anyone was to be blamed, it should be the Great Sage, the ”arsonist”!

If you’re going to set a fire anyway, why can’t you learn from Kitsune Saiguu? Setting a fire in someone’s heart feels so much better.

The Traveler and Nahida were simply too full of a sense of responsibility. Driven by this sense of responsibility, it made them somewhat angry at themselves.

Because they had taken all the responsibility upon themselves.

If it were up to the readers, rather than self-blame it would be condemnation. Great Sage, I XXX, ”Teyvat’s Refined Words.”

And Paimon, who had always been accurate at reading people, once again pierced through the Traveler’s thoughts.

[Paimon said: ”Sigh… You too, and Nahida too. Dunyarzad wouldn’t want to see you like this.”]

For the third time, that same line. Paimon had an accurate eye for people, but her emotional intelligence was low.

This sentence undoubtedly stabbed everyone once more. Dunyarzad indeed wouldn’t want to see everyone like this.

But the problem was — she couldn’t see it anymore! Dunyarzad~ had already passed away!

However, that was the Dunyarzad inside the story. In reality she was still alive. The next time they met they could still say: ”Hi~♪ Did you miss me?♪”

Although the Dunyarzad in the story had already died, she still left behind one ”relic.”

Dunyarzad had once mentioned to the Traveler that she had left something in her room that she forgot to bring. That was a ”gift” she had prepared for the Traveler.

Now was the perfect time to see what it was. Perhaps there would be a clue.

That item was inside Dunyarzad’s house. The window wasn’t closed tightly, so Paimon could slip in.

After a while Paimon came out, still holding a book in her hand. It seemed this was the ”gift” Dunyarzad had prepared for the Traveler.
