The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1384: Chapter 1401: The Young Madam Sees the Doctor Herself

”You’re overthinking it.” He said, ”I fear Nangong Yaoling now has a more pressing issue to investigate, and he’s probably too busy to worry about others.”

Liao Ping was slightly stunned.

”You mean...”

”Investigate the people around Nangong Zhongli, check everyone she trusts.”

”Yes, Young Master!” Although Liao Ping didn’t understand, he still responded respectfully.

Days passed rather uneventfully.

Xiaonuan went to the hospital to see An Ya, who was still in a coma. Her family was taking care of her at the hospital.

Xiaonuan learned from the nurse that the driver responsible for the accident had given them a large sum of money, hoping the matter could be settled privately. The family agreed.

Because they must feel it was truly just an accident.

As Xiaonuan walked out of the hospital, the weather was nice, but she felt a bit oppressed thinking about An Ya’s elderly parents and hearing that she also had a child in middle school. Her heart was filled with guilt and unease.

But now, perhaps all she could do was wait for the truth to surface soon.

Just as she was about to move forward, she unexpectedly encountered someone.

She was slightly stunned.

Qin Yi was also taken aback.

He smiled, ”Young Madam...”

”Mr. Qin? You... why are you here?”

”Oh, I’m here to see a friend. Young Madam, are you alright? Are you feeling unwell?” Qin Yi asked worriedly, seeing her looking unwell.

Xiaonuan indeed looked pale, partly because she felt oppressed and partly because she was a bit nervous seeing Qin Yi.

She hurriedly said, ”It’s nothing, I... I’m also here to see a friend. Well... I should be going now.”

”Where are you going, Young Madam? I can have the driver take you!” Qin Yi quickly said.

”No need! I have to go to the film set later; taking a taxi is very convenient.” Xiaonuan said and then quickly waved her hand at the roadside.

Just then, a taxi drove up and stopped in front of her.

Xiaonuan waved at him, then quickly opened the car door and got into the vehicle.

Qin Yi watched the hurriedly departing figure of the Young Madam, a flicker of complexity passed through his pupils, and his gaze involuntarily turned towards a certain car in the corner.

A man sat in the back seat of the car, his perfectly sculpted face showed no expression as he watched the direction Xiaonuan’s car was leaving.

Qin Yi returned to the side of the car.

”Young Master, the Young Madam is heading to the film set.”

”I know. Go ahead with your work. Find someone to keep an eye on that woman and call me if anything happens.”

”Yes, Young Master!”

Nangong Yaoling said to the driver, ”Drive.”

The car headed onto the highway.

Inside the villa.

Nangong Yaoling sat in front of the sofa, poured himself a glass of vodka, and raised his eyes to look at the nervous-looking Housekeeper Li in front of him.

”Young Master... did you call for me? Is there something you need?” He had just been outside directing the gardener to trim some branches when a servant told him the Young Master wanted to talk to him.

He didn’t bother with anything else and hurried over.

The Young Master rarely called him for a talk so seriously, apparently, this matter seemed serious?

Indeed, Nangong Yaoling held the glass, his gaze coldly fixed on Housekeeper Li.

”Since the Young Madam’s miscarriage, has she shown any particular behavior?”

The housekeeper was startled.

”Particular behavior... none?” The housekeeper thought and said, ”Whether it’s eating or sleeping, the Young Madam seems quite normal, besides being sad at the beginning and losing interest in seemingly everything.”

Nangong Yaoling took a sip of his drink, put his legs up on the coffee table.

”Think carefully, has she met anyone, or after going out, shown any particular behavior?”
