The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1368: Chapter 1385: Carrying Her Downstairs

”I’ve said it before, I have no immunity against you, yet you still tease me!” He bit her lips, mumbling indistinctly, as the scorching kiss cascaded downward.

The flame that had just extinguished needed only a gentle spark to blaze once again.

In the restaurant.

The air was filled with the aroma of French steak, while the wine in the goblet swayed slightly with the man’s elegant movements.

Xiaonuan glanced nervously at the nearby servant.

After Nangong Yaoling finished, he directly dressed her, then carried her downstairs.

Because she mentioned feeling hungry halfway through, completely non-cooperative, he had no choice but to finish quickly and carry her down.

He even threatened to properly sort her out after the meal!

Xiaonuan focused solely on devouring the meat, her cheeks flushed.

Nangong Yaoling took a sip of wine and laughed, ”This chef was brought in from France, the taste is quite nice, if you like it, eat more.”

Xiaonuan ate while sipping wine.

”Your body is too weak, you lose energy easily, it seems you need more exercise.”

Xiaonuan almost spat out the wine in her mouth.

She glared up at Nangong Yaoling.

He smiled harmlessly and continued eating.

After a few bites, he spoke up, ”Did you nap during the day today? What have you been doing?”

Xiaonuan paused slightly.

She almost forgot about that matter!

Her expression momentarily turned a bit tense.

Luckily, Nangong Yaoling’s gaze was on the steak in front of him and didn’t notice her.

Xiaonuan hesitated on how to broach the topic, when Nangong Yaoling suddenly said, ”From now on, don’t go out alone. If you must leave, take a driver or the housekeeper with you. Hmm... maybe someday I’ll get a car and a driver just for you.”

Xiaonuan’s eyes widened.

She didn’t anticipate his sudden change of topic.

She hurriedly said, ”There’s no need for that, it’s very convenient for me to take a taxi by myself. No need for a driver, and when it comes to my driving... aren’t you aware?”

Nangong Yaoling looked at her, recalling a certain scenario, and couldn’t help but chuckle.

He raised his brow and said, ”You still have the audacity to say that? You should take proper lessons someday, or just let it be. I’m not comfortable with you driving, just let the driver accompany you wherever you go...”

Xia Xiaonuan: ”...”

Seeing her silent, Nangong Yaoling lifted his gaze and looked at her.

He said, ”Today on my way home, I was stuck in traffic for over an hour, because a woman driving ended up crashing into a big truck, female drivers are quite common now, even if you take a taxi I wouldn’t feel comfortable.”

Upon hearing this, Xiaonuan suddenly understood.

So Nangong Yaoling saw someone got hurt and thought of her.

But... regardless of whether it’s by taxi or driven by a driver, if an accident happens, it’s unavoidable, right?

However, the Nangong Family’s strict standards for employees and meticulous training process truly make it hard for accidents to occur.

”How is that woman? Was she alone in the car? Crashing into a big truck, isn’t that tragic?”

”I heard she’s a manager at Lebai, chances are slim for her survival. But, it might also have been a vendetta.”

Xiaonuan’s expression darkened and she laughed, ”Have you been watching too many spy movies? Where would there be so many vendettas? From what I’ve seen online, there are many big trucks...”

Xiaonuan got halfway through her sentence when a sudden realization hit her, and her demeanor changed.

Nangong Yaoling looked up: ”What’s wrong?”

”Did you... did you just say she’s a manager at Lebai? Which department?”
