The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1288: Chapter 1308: The Angry Prince Nangong

Xia Xiaonuan hurriedly said, ”How would I know she was still at the hotel? I just wanted to come get my things and then... then ask by the way if it was her... I didn’t expect...”

”You didn’t expect you’d actually run into her, and even get a piece of ’good news’ that made you so pleasantly surprised?” Nangong Yaoling raised a brow and asked with biting sarcasm.

Xia Xiaonuan: ”...”

His questioning made her a bit angry. Something occurred to her and she couldn’t help snapping back, ”So what if I did? Weren’t you going to the company? Why did you have people follow me again?”

”Xia—Xiao—nuan!” Nangong Yaoling was so furious his nostrils were practically spewing fire.

At this moment, the driver in front glanced back slightly and spoke up for Nangong Yaoling, ”Young Madam... Young Master decided at the last minute to go to the hotel, but he didn’t expect to run into your car at the entrance...”

”...”

So that’s how it was? Xia Xiaonuan felt helpless. How could she be this unlucky!

He’d even managed to catch her like this!

”Now, what else do you have to say?” Nangong Yaoling gripped her chin hard and ground the words out.

Looking at his dark expression and furious face, Xia Xiaonuan couldn’t help feeling a little scared.

She quickly lowered her head and murmured weakly, ”Actually... I was planning to tell you about it as soon as I left the hotel. I didn’t expect you to suddenly show up...”

”You knew full well that hotel had such a big incident last night, and you still went running over there alone. Xia Xiaonuan, you wanted to wait until you left the hotel to tell me—weren’t you afraid you might not walk out of there? If that Rasha’er had done something to you, then what?”

”I...” Xia Xiaonuan looked up at him, eyes wide, and reached out to tug at the hem of his shirt.

”Alright... look, I’m fine, aren’t I? I figured with so many bodyguards at the hotel, nothing would happen...”

”Planning on there being a next time?” Nangong Yaoling glared at her.

”No more!” Xia Xiaonuan shook her head at once and gave him a sheepish grin.

Seeing that Nangong Yaoling’s face was still cold, his handsome features dark and his brows tightly knitted, she reached out and placed her hand on his brow, gently smoothing it.

But the moment her hand touched him, he suddenly raised his own and coldly brushed her hand away.

He turned and sat off to the side.

The man’s entire body was radiating a chilly aura; the whole car was steeped in low pressure.

Xia Xiaonuan was utterly at a loss. She couldn’t even tell now whether Nangong Yaoling was angry because she went to the hotel and met Rasha’er, or because she’d wanted to hide the fact that Situ Yan was still alive.

But even if she had to choose again, she still wouldn’t want Nangong Yaoling to know about this. After all, he hated Situ Yan so much!

She sighed inwardly, turned her head, and glanced at Nangong Yaoling.

He was staring straight ahead, expression icy, his whole demeanor saying ”keep away from me.”

Xia Xiaonuan inched her whole body a bit closer to his side.

”Yaoling, what are you planning to... do with Rasha’er?” Xia Xiaonuan asked timidly.

”That woman is the reason Shaochen was seriously injured and is still lying in the hospital. What do you think I should do with her?” Nangong Yaoling asked coldly.

Xia Xiaonuan: ”...”

Exactly, Rasha’er had been unbelievably reckless.

Thank goodness Shaochen was alright; if something really had happened to him, she had no idea how she would face any of this.

But now, Rasha’er had ultimately done it for Situ Yan’s sake, to avenge him, and she was Situ Yan’s younger sister.

She really couldn’t just watch Nangong Yaoling kill her, could she!

”She was wrong, yes... but she’s still very young, and her situation is understandable... How about... we just send her back to Australia?”
