The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 1258: Chapter 1279: I Want Milk

There weren’t too many people in KFC, and the two of them picked a seat by the window.

They ordered a set meal, Liang Shaochen went to buy it, and Xiaonuan sat alone on the chair waiting.

At this moment, a middle-aged woman wearing a sun hat appeared in front of her.

The woman, holding a two- or three-year-old little girl, stepped forward and smiled, ”Little sister, could you please help me watch my baby for a moment? My in-laws have arrived and are outside getting something, it’s inconvenient to take the child... I’ll be right back.”

Xia Xiaonuan was slightly dazed.

Looking at the woman holding a hamburger-eating baby, the baby wearing a yellow coat and a hat with little deer ears, she looked at Xiaonuan and smiled slightly, looking quite adorable.

Perhaps because of recently losing a child, Xia Xiaonuan felt especially close when seeing children.

She couldn’t help quickly replying, ”Alright then, you go ahead, I’ll watch him for you.”

The woman was very grateful, quickly handed the baby to Xiaonuan, and left her phone number before departing.

As the woman reached the door, she glanced inside at Xia Xiaonuan, then looked around cautiously, and hurried off in another direction outside.

Xia Xiaonuan looked at the baby in her arms, the little boy’s eyes were bright and pretty, with double eyelids.

She couldn’t help but smile and asked, ”Little cutie, what’s your name?”

”Dingding...” The little boy looked at Xia Xiaonuan and said in a childish voice.

Xia Xiaonuan hugged him and said, ”Uncle will buy some delicious food later, what do you want to eat?”

”Nainai...eat nainai...” The little boy said, reaching out to grab at Xia Xiaonuan’s chest and even tried to nuzzle his head there.

Xia Xiaonuan’s cheeks couldn’t help but darken for a moment.

She quickly pulled the little boy away and said, ”Baby, your mommy will come back soon... then you can eat nainai, auntie here doesn’t have any nainai...”

The little boy grabbed Xiaonuan’s hair and tugged, causing Xia Xiaonuan to frown slightly.

At this moment, Liang Shaochen came over carrying the food, and was stunned by what he saw.

He quickly asked, ”Xiaonuan, how come there’s a child here?”

Xia Xiaonuan, freeing a hand to grab the little one’s mischievous hand, smiled awkwardly and said, ”A woman just asked me to watch her child while she went to meet someone...”

Liang Shaochen frowned slightly, watching the little one, and asked warily, ”What kind of woman? How could she just leave her child with a stranger like that?”

Xia Xiaonuan was also a bit puzzled, thought for a moment, and laughed, ”Maybe she was in too much of a rush and had no choice... also, maybe I look like a good person to her...”

Liang Shaochen was amused by her and didn’t think much more of it.

But seeing the little boy’s hand constantly reaching for Xiaonuan’s chest, he couldn’t help but darken a bit.

”Nainai...eat nainai...” The little boy hugged Xia Xiaonuan and rubbed his head in her arms.

Xia Xiaonuan looked up at Liang Shaochen, her cheeks turning red.

”Maybe the child is hungry...”

”Let me hold him, then ask if there is any milk,” Liang Shaochen said speechlessly. Watching the little boy grab for Xia Xiaonuan’s chest made him feel a bit frustrated.

He said this and quickly got up, walked to Xiaonuan’s side, and picked up the little baby.

The baby clung to Xiaonuan and wouldn’t let go, and it took a lot of effort for Liang Shaochen to separate them.

”Wah... woo...” As soon as the baby was separated and held by Liang Shaochen, he burst into tears.

Instantly, the customers at the neighboring tables all turned to look over.
