The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 866: Chapter 886: I Want to Meet You

Situ Yan’s face grew increasingly unsightly, and finally, he suddenly stood up, forcefully kicked away the chair at his feet, turned around, and stormed out the door.

Xia Xiaonuan: ”...”

The door closed, and Xia Xiaonuan’s eye twitched slightly.

This guy, he’s actually angry?

But it’s just as well—let him remember this so he doesn’t spend his days sweet-talking her!

Xia Xiaonuan rubbed her eyes, feeling a bit sleepy, put down the book in her hand, turned over, and was just about to lie down.

At this moment, suddenly, the door was pushed open again.

Situ Yan walked in with a sullen face, his gaze fixed on Xia Xiaonuan. He approached the bed, looked down at her, and said, ”Xia Xiaonuan, one day, I will make you willingly fall into my embrace. Just you wait!”

After speaking, he suddenly bent down.

Xia Xiaonuan was startled: ”What are you doing?”

Situ Yan merely extended his hand to tuck in the corner of her blanket, then placed her arm back under the covers.

”Silly woman, sleep well. You’d better dream of me tonight.” After saying that, and as she was still in shock, Situ Yan bowed his head and kissed her on the forehead.

After the kiss, he gave her a mischievous smile, turned around, and headed towards the door.

As he left, he didn’t forget to turn off her lamp.

”Goodnight, silly woman.”

Xia Xiaonuan: ”...”

If the light was on, you would definitely see her face twitching...

...

Xia Xiaonuan was about to go to sleep when she suddenly thought of something and took out her phone.

She dialed Qi Yue’s number, and after a long time, the other end picked up.

”Hello...” Qi Yue’s lazy voice came from the other end.

”Yueyue, it’s me. Are you going to bed this early?” She remembered that Qi Yue, this night owl, usually stayed up late.

Qi Yue crawled out from under the covers, scratched her head, and said, ”Yeah...I’ve just been really tired these past few days. Xiaonuan, why are you calling at this hour?” Thinking of something, Qi Yue suddenly asked nervously, ”Is something wrong?”

”No...” Xia Xiaonuan laughed. ”Do you have time tomorrow? I’d like to meet up with you...”

”Ah... Sure! The production has been halted recently, so I have plenty of time.”

”Okay, then I’ll have my friend pick you up tomorrow. He’ll bring you to meet me directly.”

”Your friend? Which friend? Could it be the legendary Situ Yan?”

Xia Xiaonuan laughed: ”That’s him...”

”Wow, Xiaonuan, are you and he really together?”

”No...” Xia Xiaonuan replied evasively, ”Alright, I’ll tell you more when we meet tomorrow.”

”Alright... But I’m curious to see what kind of person your legendary Situ Yan is! The man who both kidnapped you and drives Young Master mad with jealousy!”

”Oh, don’t make fun of me, okay? You go back to sleep. Goodnight~”

”Mm, goodnight!” Qi Yue giggled.

After hanging up, Xia Xiaonuan took a deep breath.

Actually, she’s mostly concerned about the Xia Group and Mrs. Xia over there.

After she left, there wasn’t much support over there. If anything happened at home, she might not be able to handle it.

Yesterday, she called Mrs. Xia, who told her things were fine at home. Mr. Xia, although he sometimes lost his temper with her, didn’t dare do anything to her.

Mrs. Xia urged her not to worry and to take good care of herself.

Xia Xiaonuan knew Mrs. Xia genuinely had her best interests at heart.

But now, she truly felt powerless to do anything for the family.

She only hoped that everything could continue as usual, without any further complications.
