The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 858: Chapter 878: Are You Taking Advantage of Me?

The doctor smiled: ”As the child’s father, don’t be too nervous, so as not to pass bad emotions to the pregnant woman. Make sure she’s in a good mood and eats some nutritious food.”

Situ Yan quickly nodded: ”I understand.”

In the hospital room.

Situ Yan sat by the bedside, looking at Xia Xiaonuan who was asleep, tightly holding her hand.

”Xiaonuan...” He gazed at her, feeling both heartache and excitement.

Xiaonuan... I didn’t expect that as soon as I returned, you’d give me such a big surprise.

You are pregnant with my child, why didn’t you tell me earlier? Or did you never intend to tell me at all?

You separated from Nangong Yaoling but didn’t tell me.

Fortunately, I came back in time.

Situ Yan lowered his head and gently kissed her forehead.

Xia Xiaonuan seemed to sense something, her eyelashes fluttered, and then she slowly opened her eyes.

Situ Yan said excitedly: ”Xiaonuan, you’re awake!?”

Xia Xiaonuan looked at Situ Yan, a few seconds later, suddenly her expression changed slightly.

She quickly reached out her hand and placed it on her abdomen.

”The child... my child...”

Situ Yan quickly grabbed her hand, holding it tightly in his palm.

”Xiaonuan, don’t worry, the child is fine! Our child is fine!”

Upon hearing this, Xia Xiaonuan breathed a sigh of relief.

But thinking of something, she couldn’t help but frown.

Our child?

Situ Yan, what is he talking about? Why is he saying this? Did she hear wrong?

”...”

Before she could speak, Situ Yan frowned and said: ”Xiaonuan, have you been doing okay these days? You separated from Nangong Yaoling, why didn’t you tell me earlier? How long did you plan to hide it from me?”

The man’s dark eyes contained a hint of reproach and heartache.

A warmth surged in Xia Xiaonuan’s heart as she thought of last time, when he had been stabbed repeatedly by those people for her sake, she felt very guilty.

”I’m okay... have your injuries healed?” She saw the hat on his head.

”It’s all fine now, just... my hair will take some more time to grow back.” Situ Yan noticed her gaze at his head, reached out his hand, and took off his hat.

”Pfft...” Xia Xiaonuan saw his hair was completely shaved off, now almost like a buzz cut, and couldn’t help but laugh.

Seeing her laugh, Situ Yan also couldn’t help but smile.

However, he deliberately raised his eyebrows with dissatisfaction and said: ”Is it ugly? Xia Xiaonuan, how dare you laugh at me?” Saying this, he touched his own hair.

Xia Xiaonuan held back her laugh, in truth... it’s not ugly at all. Situ Yan’s features are very defined, his eyebrows and eyes are handsome, even with his hair shaved off, he still looks very good, and even adds a bit of special flavor.

”It’s not very ugly... actually, it’s... very ugly...” Seeing his expectant look, Xia Xiaonuan deliberately said.

Situ Yan’s face turned dark.

Suddenly he reached out his hand, hooking her chin: ”Xia Xiaonuan, haven’t seen you for a few days, you’ve grown bold, let’s see how I fix you!” Saying this, he lowered his head, intending to kiss her.

Xia Xiaonuan quickly turned her face away.

His actions froze there, with their faces very close, a trace of hidden disappointment flashed in his eyes.

Xia Xiaonuan frowned: ”Get away!”

The man’s gaze was deep, but suddenly he lowered his head and softly kissed her cheek.

Xia Xiaonuan: ”...”

Her face suddenly flushed with a hint of red, she glared at him and said: ”Are you taking advantage of the situation now?”

Situ Yan’s lips curved with a mischievous smile as he sat back in the chair.
