The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 641: Chapter 643: The Consequence of Forcibly Kissing Xia Xiaonuan

The air around her was filled with his presence, unfamiliar yet somewhat familiar.

Her heart filled with disgust, anxious and angry.

Suddenly, she saw a wine bottle in front of the car.

Without thinking, she reached out, grabbed the bottle, and smashed it hard on Situ Yan’s head.

”Bang——!” a sound echoed.

The air froze.

Situ Yan’s body stiffened completely, and Xia Xiaonuan took the opportunity to forcefully push him away.

In an instant, blood started flowing from Situ Yan’s head.

It trickled down to his neck.

Xia Xiaonuan’s eyes widened, and Situ Yan looked at her with equal surprise.

In his dark eyes, his gaze was complex and unreadable.

He reached out his hand, placing it on his bleeding head.

In an instant, the cabin was filled with the scent of blood.

The atmosphere was suffocating.

Xia Xiaonuan’s lips quivered, wanting to say something, but ultimately remained silent.

She glanced at him, threw the empty bottle aside, turned, opened the car door, and fled.

Situ Yan frowned, moving his hand away from his forehead.

His palm was slick, completely covered in blood.

He gritted his teeth, watching from the window as Xia Xiaonuan got into a taxi and left without looking back.

He took a deep breath, clenched his teeth, started the car, and drove towards the hospital.

The taxi stopped outside the villa gates. Xia Xiaonuan paid the fare and got out, still upset.

The bodyguard opened the gate for her, and she rushed inside.

”Young Madam, you’re back,” the maid greeted respectfully as she entered.

She nodded and headed straight upstairs.

After only a couple of steps, she saw Nangong Yaoling sitting on the sofa.

Nangong Yaoling narrowed his eyes at her, his deep voice asking, ”Where did you go?”

Xia Xiaonuan’s body trembled slightly.

”I... I went to have coffee with Zhongli.”

Nangong Yaoling stood up and walked up to her.

”You don’t look too well. What happened?” he asked, his sharp eyes fixated on her.

Xia Xiaonuan shook her head, ”Nothing happened.”

”You went out with Nangong Zhongli this afternoon. To my knowledge, Zhongli came back long ago. Why did you return just now?” Nangong Yaoling asked, his face expressionless.

Xia Xiaonuan’s mind was in chaos; she didn’t know if she had killed Situ Yan.

Just thinking about his bloody head made her heart race.

Nangong Yaoling’s question ignited her anger.

”Can’t I just walk around for a bit? Nangong Yaoling, why do you interrogate me like a criminal? Don’t I have the freedom to move around? Do you need to have the whole world within your sight to be satisfied?”

Nangong’s face darkened.

”Xia Xiaonuan, I just asked one question, and you responded with a tirade. Why are you so angry?”

Xia Xiaonuan gritted her teeth, ”I’m tired. I’m going upstairs to rest.”

She headed to the bedroom and lay down on the bed.

Nangong Yaoling followed her in.

He watched as she lay on her side, looking as if she was ready to sleep.

This woman, coming back in such a panic, something must have happened!

Could it be...

”Did you run into someone on the way back?”

”No!”

”A man?”

”Nangong Yaoling, are you done?” Xia Xiaonuan lifted her head and glared at him.

Nangong Yaoling knew he wouldn’t get anything out of her now.

He only said coldly, ”I warn you, tomorrow is the press conference. Don’t cause any trouble.”

”I know, you’re so annoying!” Xia Xiaonuan replied coldly.

Nangong Yaoling: ”...”

He stared at her for a while longer, began to get annoyed himself, and turned to leave, flinging his sleeves as he went.
