The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 637: Chapter 639: Are You Ever Going to Stop?

Imperial Mansion of the Nangong Empire.

Qin Yi didn’t expect Nangong Zhongli to come to the company. As soon as he got the news, he hurried out.

Nangong Zhongli walked out of the elevator and saw Qin Yi, her whole body tensed up slightly.

Qin Yi said, ”Miss Zhongli, is there something urgent that brings you to the company out of the blue?”

Nangong Zhongli frowned and asked, ”Where is Nangong Yaoling? I need to see him!”

”Young Master is in a meeting. You... can wait in his office for a moment.”

Nangong Zhongli nodded.

Qin Yi instructed the secretary to bring a cup of coffee.

”Yes...”

Nangong Zhongli sat in the chair in the CEO’s office, and the secretary brought the coffee to her.

Qin Yi noticed her haggard appearance, his pupils slightly contracted, but he still said expressionlessly, ”If Miss Zhongli has any urgent matters, you can also tell me, and I will relay the message to the Young Master.”

Nangong Zhongli shot him a glance quickly, instinctively placed her hand on her abdomen, and looked away, saying coldly, ”No need, you can go. I’ll wait here myself.”

Seeing her unwilling to even give him another glance, Qin Yi clenched his hand slightly into a fist: ”Alright, Miss Zhongli.”

After saying that, he turned and left.

The aroma of the coconut milk coffee floated through the air and reached Nangong Zhongli’s nose. Her face changed, and she suddenly reached out to cover her mouth, retching.

Qin Yi, who had already reached the door, stiffened.

He quickly turned his head, only to see Nangong Zhongli already up and rushing towards the restroom.

Qin Yi’s pupils contracted, and a glimmer of worry broke through his icy facade as he hurried to ask, ”Zhongli, are you alright?!”

He chased to the restroom entrance, watching her lean over the toilet, retching continuously, in great pain.

He hurriedly fetched a cup of water.

Nangong Zhongli took the water, rinsed her mouth. Thinking of something, she looked at him angrily, ”Who allowed you to call my name?!”

A hint of embarrassment flashed across Qin Yi’s face. He stiffened his expression and said, ”I’m sorry, Miss Zhongli... I was just anxious.”

”My affairs are none of your concern! What right do you have to be anxious?!” Nangong Zhongli retorted angrily, wiping her lips with a tissue, glaring fiercely at Qin Yi.

Qin Yi bit his lip, nervously stammering, ”I... I didn’t mean that...”

Nangong Zhongli gave him a push, ”Get out of the way!”

Qin Yi followed her into the living room, unable to help saying, ”If you feel unwell, it’s better to see a doctor. Otherwise, I can call Dr. Mark. He’s very skilled...”

”Enough—!” Nangong Zhongli jumped up, pulling at her long hair in frustration, ”Qin Yi, when will you stop?! You’re being such a nag! Get lost!”

Qin Yi gave Nangong Zhongli a deep look. Compared to her rage, he seemed almost calm: ”I understand, Miss Zhongli.” He replied politely, then turned and left.

Nangong Zhongli watched Qin Yi’s retreating figure, biting her lip.

If she saw a doctor, wouldn’t her pregnancy be discovered? Then she’d be in real trouble!

Damn Qin Yi, it was really fortunate for him that she hadn’t settled scores with him yet!

After a while, Nangong Yaoling finished his meeting.

He walked out of the meeting room, followed by a line of high-level executives in sharp suits.

Qin Yi stepped forward respectfully to take the documents from his hand, saying, ”Young Master, Miss Zhongli is here.”

Nangong Yaoling frowned, ”What is he doing here?”

”Miss Zhongli didn’t say, but she didn’t look well and has been waiting for you for a while.”
