My Home's Ancient Well Connects to the Martial Arts World

Chapter 155: Chapter 155: Thunder Heart Spring Wood Energy

The Thunder Heart Spring Wood was a Heaven and Earth Spiritual Treasure. On the Martial Arts Continent, it was a supreme treasure that even Innate Realm experts would fight to the death over. As a Wood-Attribute Spiritual Treasure, it could endlessly generate Life Force to heal injuries. A Martial Artist who was hurt could recover in an incredibly short amount of time. Ye Xing had tested this before by cutting his hand, and the wound had actually healed on its own in a flash. ’With such miraculous Energy, no wonder those Martial Artists would fight so desperately for it.’

Ye Xing channeled a sliver of the Thunder Heart Spring Wood’s Life Force into Old Li’s heart. Under its influence, the damaged and aging organ immediately began to recover.

A moment later,

”He’s breathing! He’s breathing!” the middle-aged woman exclaimed with immense joy.

At that moment, Old Li had begun to take faint breaths. Under the influence of the Thunder Heart Spring Wood, his breathing gradually grew stronger.

”Little Lin, get me an acupuncture kit,” Ye Xing said to the medical staffer, Lin Liqin.

The medical staffer, Lin Liqin, hurried off to get the acupuncture tools for Ye Xing. The surrounding crowd stared at Ye Xing with utter astonishment, clearly not expecting this young man to have some real skill, seemingly on par with the experienced old traditional doctors.

Ye Xing took the acupuncture kit from the clinic’s medical staffer, Lin Liqin, and began performing acupuncture on Old Li.

’Actually, just channeling the Thunder Heart Spring Wood Energy would have been enough. The acupuncture is just for show, to keep anyone from getting suspicious. Of course, acupuncture does have its uses—it can stimulate acupoints and have some effect. But the real work is being done by the Thunder Heart Spring Wood’s miraculous Energy.’

’Oh well, in for a penny, in for a pound! I might as well just heal this old man’s other illnesses too.’ With that thought, Ye Xing channeled several more streams of Thunder Heart Spring Wood Energy, causing Old Li’s depleted and aging body to once again teem with vitality.

The reason he decided to save Old Li was twofold. Firstly, the man had collapsed in the clinic of his friend, Zheng Yiming. Although the family wasn’t blaming the clinic, it would still affect its reputation to some degree. Secondly, the middle-aged woman’s grief and filial piety toward her father had moved Ye Xing, stirring his compassion and making him decide to save the old man.

Inside the clinic, Ye Xing was performing acupuncture.

Suddenly—

”WEE-OO... WEE-OO... WEE-OO...”

The piercing wail of a siren sounded from the street outside, growing louder as it approached. A moment later, an ambulance screeched to a halt at the clinic’s entrance.

WHOOSH!

The ambulance doors slid open, and a team of doctors and nurses in white coats rushed out of the vehicle and into the clinic.

”Where’s the person? Where’s the patient? Who called 911?” the lead doctor asked loudly as he entered the clinic.

”I called for the ambulance, but he’s already being treated,” Lin Liqin said, pointing toward Ye Xing.

”That kid’s so young. Is he a recent graduate? An intern?” the doctor asked.

”Ye Xing doesn’t seem to be a doctor, but—”

”This is ridiculous!” the doctor roared, striding quickly in their direction.

”Doctor, wait! My father is receiving treatment. Please, just wait a moment,” the middle-aged woman said, quickly stepping in to block the furious doctor.

”You’re the patient’s family? This young man isn’t a doctor, is he? You—”

”Yes, he doesn’t have a medical license, but he’s incredibly skilled. My father’s condition has already improved a lot under his care,” the middle-aged woman said hurriedly.

”Hmm? Has your father been examined at a hospital? What conditions does he have?” the doctor asked immediately.

”Quite a few. An elderly person’s body is naturally weaker, with organ degeneration. My father has a severe heart condition. A few months ago, the hospital also diagnosed him with pneumonia, cervical spondylosis, and other issues,” the middle-aged woman said with a sigh.

While they were talking, Ye Xing finished the acupuncture.

Old Li had slowly woken up.

”Ahhh, that feels good. My whole body is warm... I feel like I’m ten years younger,” Old Li said as soon as he woke up. He couldn’t help but stretch, only to suddenly realize everyone was staring at him.

”Dad, you’re finally awake! This is wonderful!” the middle-aged woman said joyfully.

”Huh? Daughter, what are you doing here? I think I remember my heart hurting before I passed out,” Old Li muttered.

”This young man saved you. Dad, you scared me to death earlier. You weren’t even breathing. Thank goodness this young man’s medical skills are incredible. He’s the one who woke you up.” As she spoke, the middle-aged woman looked at Ye Xing with immense gratitude. ”Young man, thank you so much. I don’t know how I can ever repay you. I have ten thousand yuan in cash on me right now. Please, take this as a token of my gratitude.” The woman quickly pulled a thick stack of banknotes from her backpack and tried to hand it to Ye Xing.

”There’s no need. It was nothing. Please, don’t give me any money. Your father has mostly recovered. I have something else to do, so I should get going,” Ye Xing said with a small smile.

”Ye Xing, how are your medical skills so amazing!” Lin Liqin said, her face full of admiration.

”It’s alright, I just muddled through,” Ye Xing said with a laugh.

”I can’t help but admire you! Did you really learn your medical skills from Dr. Zheng?” Lin Liqin asked, a look of disbelief on her face. Although Dr. Zheng’s skills were good, she had a feeling he wasn’t as strong as Ye Xing. Just as she was speaking, her phone suddenly rang in her pocket.

Lin Liqin immediately swiped her phone screen and answered the call.

”Hello? Liqin? You called me so many times. My phone was on silent, so I didn’t hear it. What’s wrong?” Zheng Yiming’s voice came through the phone.

”Dr. Zheng, something terrible happened at the clinic! That man, Old Li, had a sudden heart attack. He almost died right here!” Lin Liqin said, still shaken.

”What? If something like that happened, you should have called an ambulance right away!” Zheng Yiming’s voice on the phone was urgent, and you could hear the anxiety in it. ”How could I be so unlucky for this to happen right after I left? How is he now?”

”He’s here at the clinic. He’s already been treated,” Lin Liqin said.

”Already treated? Old Li is riddled with all sorts of ailments. Who’s skilled enough to do that?” Zheng Yiming asked, confused.

”It was Ye Xing,” Lin Liqin said.

”Ye Xing? Which Ye Xing?”

”You don’t even know Ye Xing? Aren’t you two college classmates? And roommates, I think?” Lin Liqin asked, puzzled.

”Pfft! I was wondering who you were talking about. You mean Old Third! Don’t kid me. I know that guy inside and out. He never studied medicine a day in his life,” Zheng Yiming said over the phone.

”Why would I lie to you? If you don’t believe me, come back and ask the neighbors. A whole crowd of people in the clinic saw it with their own eyes. Just ask anyone when you get back,” Lin Liqin retorted, pouting.
