The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Buhui wanted to take Lin Qing along for the consultation, which surprised the Song Ci and others, even Lin Qing herself was quite taken aback.

”Master Ancestor, they requested you, would it be inappropriate for me to accompany you for the consultation?”

Buhui replied nonchalantly, ”You and I are both doctors, what would be inappropriate about that? Besides, your medical skills come from my Lu Family, there is no one more suitable to accompany me for the consultation than you. If we encounter women, you are even more appropriate.”

Lin Qing’s heart was stirred, and she looked towards Song Ci.

After all, she was employed by the Song Family, so it was not easy for her to speak about an external consultation.

Song Ci said, ”It’s rare for the Master to be willing to take you along, you should go, this is a good opportunity to enhance your medical skills. If you encounter difficult cases you’ve never seen before, you can study them, which is also a good thing.”

Medical practice is a lifelong learning journey, the more illnesses you encounter, the more your skills improve. The term Divine Doctor is never achieved in a day but earned through countless praises and the experience of curing numerous patients.

Buhui observed Song Ci’s indifference and secretly nodded.

Lin Qing felt a bit excited, bowing deeply to Song Ci, moved by her tolerance and care.

While they were talking, the sound of a baby crying and a nanny comforting could be heard from outside.

Song Ci’s eyes curved, ”Is it little Dan outside? Let them come in.”

Chun Fen lifted the curtain, allowing Madam Deng and the others to enter.

Madam Deng entered holding little Dan wrapped in a thick cloak, first bowing with a wry smile, ”The young master woke up insisting to see the old ancestor and couldn’t be consoled otherwise.”

”No worries, it’s warm inside, just take off his cloak and bring him over.” Song Ci’s heart melted as she saw little Dan reaching out to be held, and she said to Buhui, ”Master Buhui hasn’t seen my little grandson yet, since you’re here, could you bless our little Dan with a touch for good fortune?”

Buhui looked at little Dan, dressed in a red robe embroidered with five fortunes, his skin fair with a rosy tint, and his eyes lit up.

A destined disciple has appeared.

Little Dan reached out to Song Ci wanting to be held, just as he was about to reach her side, he was picked up by a big fellow.

Little Dan: ”...”

He looked at the bearded bald-headed man in front of him, made eye contact for a moment, and then pouted, bursting into tears.

Buhui lifted him high saying, ”Don’t cry, I’ll lift you up high.” And with that, he tossed him and caught him again.

Everyone gasped.

Song Ci’s temples throbbed.

Lin Qing tried to interfere, ”Master Ancestor, what are you doing? Don’t frighten him.”

Buhui noticed even the nanny had collapsed to the ground, and saw Song Ci’s pale face, feeling somewhat sheepish, said, ”I was just playing with him, see, he’s not crying now?”

Indeed he wasn’t crying and was even giggling.

Song Ci, trembling, said, ”You better sit down quickly, with my frail heart, I can’t handle this excitement.”

Pesky monk, put down her darling grandson.

Buhui had no choice but to sit back down, taking off the tiger-skin hat on the boy’s head, placing his hand on the little one’s head while rapidly muttering a Buddhist chant.

No one dared to interrupt upon seeing this.

After a long while, Buhui withdrew his hand, looking at little Dan as if he was some treasure, increasingly pleased with those obsidian-like eyes of his. Turning to Song Ci, he said, ”This child is destined with me, if the Grand Madam is willing, he can be sent to me when he turns six.”

Everyone’s hearts had just settled when they were shocked once more by these words. What on earth?

Was he trying to take their little master to become a monk?
