The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

When the Prince Min Mansion was surrounded, Song Ci was returning to the mansion with her clever son from the palace. Seeing the fierce-looking Imperial Army in armor, her hair stood on end, her back was cold with sweat, and her face turned pale.

This grand scenario was not like those on TV; it was a real siege. Just watching from afar, one could feel the chilling atmosphere.

Song Ci suddenly thought of the word confiscation, which led her to think of Prime Minister’s Mansion, and she couldn’t help but reach out to place her hand on Song Zhiyuan’s arm.

Song Zhiyuan was taken aback and reached out to hold her hand, only to realize it was cold. He quickly said, ”Mother, what’s wrong? Why is your hand so cold?”

He handed over his hand warmer from beside him and used both hands to wrap around her hand to warm it.

Song Ci looked up, seeing this elegant and charming face, filled with concern and worry. Her ears couldn’t help but heat up as she pulled back her hand, forcing a smile.

What a sin, being mesmerized by her ’son,’ such a sin, Amitabha.

”Is it appropriate to siege Prince Min Mansion before the matter of the ore is settled?” Song Ci asked in a low voice.

Song Zhiyuan looked out of the carriage window and also lowered his voice, saying, ”There must be an external explanation, pursuing the remnants and spies of the Xia family is excuse enough.”

Song Ci’s expression changed: ”What, is the Prince Min a fake?”

Song Zhiyuan’s heart leaped with a hint of unusualness, but he didn’t think deeply and said, ”It’s just outward rhetoric. I haven’t told you, Mother, but Aunt Bai and Nanny Quan from the third house are actually Xia family spies planted in our mansion. Their visit to Xingshan Temple was merely Nanny Quan trying to escape... Last night, I personally went to raid a stronghold, but the wind leaked, and a big fish got away.”

Song Ci looked shocked: ”Are you serious?”

She always knew those two weren’t good people; it turned out they had such identities.

”Nanny Quan has been punished by execution. She could disguise and shrink her bones, almost escaped, but regrettably, couldn’t escape death.”

Song Ci widened her eyes: ”Disguise and shrink bones? Aren’t we talking about those martial artists who can fly over roofs? This is a bit far-fetched.”

Song Zhiyuan laughed: ”There are many sects in the Green Forest, and even more extraordinary people. It’s not surprising for someone to know these tricks.”

”Although that’s true, having them near us is truly terrifying... Nanny Quan is gone, but is Aunt Bai really gone too?” Song Ci was curious about that Bai Lianhua.

”She’s still alive and now confined in the Punishment Hall.”

Spit.

Song Ci looked at him in amazement, saying, ”Alive? Yet the third son still wants to hold a funeral for that woman, he’s quite heartbroken.”

Song Zhiyuan sneered: ”Originally, we wanted him to have some peace by pretending she was gone. But he is truly affectionate, even wanting to bring the coffin back for a funeral. If we don’t cure his mind, we won’t do justice to his deep affection.”

Upon hearing this, Song Ci realized the worthless third son was doomed.

”Are you planning to let him see his misplaced affection?”

Song Zhiyuan rebutted: ”Mother, do you find it inappropriate? Without showing him Aunt Bai’s true colors, he might be shattered, which would hurt both his body and mind. That would be bad.”

Song Ci: ”...”

Son, are you a poisonous devil?

But the useless third son’s character indeed needed proper treatment, otherwise if he kept acting foolish, it would be one thing to bring misfortune upon himself, but implicating his family would be a major crime.

”He does need some proper treatment,” Song Ci said, ”Just let him know the truth, but let others believe Aunt Bai died in the ruins. I’ll have the Gu family spread the word not to mention Aunt Bai in the mansion.”

Song Zhiyuan nodded.
