New Age Of Summoners

’Who said Nightmare Fiends are as evil as the demons?’

After exiting the trader’s realm, Ajax muttered to himself and continued, ’If anyone says that in the future, I will make sure to teach them a good lesson.’

Looking at the two items he got from the Trader’s realm, Ajax could not help but reveal an excited smile on his face.

To his surprise, the Nightmare Fiend was really a good cultivator compared to the rumors or stories he heard about their race because not only did he give him his fur but he also gave 100 drops of the Nether essence which was equivalent to 100 units.

And the most important thing is, that he only asked Ajax to inform him about the effects of the Demonic Avatar after it was upgraded.

Since there was nothing for Ajax to lose in telling the effects of the Demonic Avatar, he agreed without thinking much.

’Finally, I can let Rurbeak and other grey dwarves upgrade my Demonic Avatar to the Legend grade.’

With an excited smile on his face, Ajax thought, ’I wonder what kind of additional effects my demonic avatar would unlock at the legend grade.’

Not only the Nightmare Fiend, but even Ajax was also both curious and excited about it.

Therefore, he didn’t waste any time and hurriedly called Rurbeak.

…

”Master, you already got the items?”

With a surprised look on his face, Rurbeak saw the two items in his hand and asked Ajax.

’How many minutes have passed since we completed the dwarf meeting? 10 minutes? 15 minutes? But, the master has already got them. Master is truly a mysterious cultivator.’

Rurbeak was shocked with how fast Ajax was able to get his hands on the rare items he mentioned a few minutes back.

”How long will it take for you to finish the upgrade?”

Ajax nodded his head and asked Rurbeak how long it would take him to refine the demonic avatar.

”It would take at least 15 days; however, since it is a valuable item for the Master I will take it slow and complete it in 30 days.”

Rurbeak thought for a moment before answering Ajax’s question with a serious look on his face.

”Alright…..huh?”

Ajax thought Rurbeak was decreasing the refining time when he heard ’since it is for master’; however, when he heard that Rurbeak had increased the refining time, Ajax frowned.

”Did I hear that right? Did you just say 30 days?”

Ajax felt he heard the wrong number of days. So, he asked once again to confirm the days required to upgrade his demonic avatar.

”You didn’t hear it wrong, Master. I said I will finish the upgrade of your demonic avatar in 30 days.”

Rurbeak nodded with a serious look and one could tell he was not joking.

also a tiresome process that would take days, weeks, or even months.

Like refining pills in alchemy, refining weapons and artifacts was also a tiresome process that would take days, weeks, or even months.

So, Ajax would have not been surprised if Rurbeak directly said that it would take one month; however, the other party had said it would only take 15 days before saying for master’s sake he would do it in 30 days.

”Master, even though I can complete it in 15 days, there is still a 10 percent chance of failure in the process.”

Seeing the confused look on his master’s face, Rurbeak explained, ”If I increase the number of days in refining the master’s demonic avatar, not only the chances of failure decrease but it will also increase the chances of unlocking some unexpected effects.”

”Therefore, I want to make sure that the master could get a special demonic avatar; instead of a normal legend-grade avatar.”

Rurbeak wanted to pay back for Ajax’s past help and at the same time, he wanted to prove to Ajax that as long as he was given the required resources, he would definitely refine the high-level legend-grade artifacts or even mythical-grade artifacts and weapons.

Therefore, Rurbeak was working hard for the last few months to improve his weapon refining skills to the best of his ability.

”One month of refining guarantees the success rate? Good.”

Ajax didn’t think much about it and nodded his head.

Even though Ajax was in a hurry to upgrade his demonic avatar to the legend grade, he was not willing to take the risk.

Since Rurbeak was sure that he could upgrade his demonic avatar without failure, Ajax decided to wait for one month.

”Thank you for your hard work, Rurbeak. If you want any special materials for your weapon refining, let me know.”

Ajax didn’t have any ego to thank his followers.

Since he was getting some help, whether it was a follower or someone else, it was a basic etiquette that Ajax learned from the Silver Orphanage.

Moreover, he saw through Rurbeak potential in the weapon refining and decided to nurture a little more than he used to do in the past.

Currently, Rurbeak is less than 25 years old and he was already a King realm Weaponsmith.

’Since the grey dwarves could live for 1000 years, there is so much potential for him to achieve. Hence, I have to nurture him more and turn him into an Emperor realm Weaponsmith or even further.’

When Ajax thought about the realm after the Emperor realm Weaponsmith, he had goosebumps.

’In cultivation, after the emperor realm, the next cultivation realm is the Immortal realm. Since almost all the professions follow the same names as the cultivation, I think it will be Immortal realm Weaponsmith.’

The Mythical level weapons and artifacts were already enough to make the powerful emperor realm cultivators of the universe go crazy. What if an Immortal grade weapon appears? Will there be bloodshed?

So, if Ajax’s follower becomes an Emperor realm or by chance an immortal realm cultivator, then everyone in this universe would beg him for the mythical grade and immortal grade weapons and artifacts just like how the powerful cultivators were crazy about the world cores now.

’Moreover, I can add in another source of income by selling the mythical grade artifacts and weapons. At that time, getting my hands on the plant essence would not be as hard as I thought it would be.’

Ajax silently thought in his mind about Rurbeak’s future and could not help but reveal an excited smile.

”Thank you for asking, master. For now, I don’t need anything.”

Rurbeak thanked Ajax and said, ”If I need something, I will definitely let you know.”

Rurbeak was planning to get resources from Ajax; however, he wanted to prove his weapon refining skills by upgrading his master’s demonic avatar into a special legend-grade artifact.

’Only after that, I will ask the master for some special materials.’

On the other hand, Rurbeak had his own thoughts as he temporarily declined Ajax’s offer.

”Okay. You can ask me for the special materials you want any time.”

Since his follower politely declined his offer, Ajax didn’t force him and informed the young dwarf that he could ask him for the special material any time.

’You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.’

Ajax thought of a quote he heard in one of Elder Boron’s stories. So, he didn’t force Rurbeak as he wanted the other party to request the special materials on his own.

Only when the other party requests something, he would put more effort into it.

If he was given good materials before he could ask, the other party would take them for granted and would not put more effort into it.

”Yes, master.”

After taking the items from Ajax, Rurbeak left the protector’s place and started his preparations to upgrade the demonic avatar.

Obviously, the demonic avatar also followed behind Rurbeak because without it, how could the young dwarf complete the upgrade?

…

’Now, it is time to take care of the minute things.’

After Rurbeak left, Ajax entered the cultivation chamber of the protector’s place and sat cross-legged before entering the inner world.

’I wonder how much the Soul Nourishment Tree would grow with the 100 units of the plant essence I have with me now.’

With a curious look on his face, Ajax walked to the small plant.

The small plant was none other than the Soul Nourishment Tree that Ajax was planning to nurture to recover the souls of his parents.

’Let’s find out.’

Without wasting any time, Ajax poured the entire bottle of the plant essence.

’I will be happy if it grows to my height.’

After pouring the plant essence into the Soul Nourishment Tree, Ajax muttered his expectations of the growth in the Soul Nourishment Tree.

’Ding,

The Soul Nourishment Tree has consumed 100 units of plant essence.

To his surprise, he received a system notification; however, Ajax didn’t bother about it and completely focused on the small plant.

’Swoosh’

’Kacha’

Soon, Ajax saw some movement in the small plant as it started growing slowly.

’Even though I can barely notice its growth, it is growing.’

Ajax was a little disappointed to see the speed at which the Soul Nourishment Tree was growing; however, he was happy about something else.

’Even though the speed of its growth was very slow, it is growing at a visible rate. I wonder how long this effect will last.’

The soul nourishment tree was growing at a steady rate; however, Ajax knew it was only temporary because of the plant essence he poured earlier.

So, he was wondering how long the effect would last.

”Swoosh”

As though the heavens heard his prayers, the slowly growing plant suddenly increased its growth speed, and within a few seconds, it already reached Ajax’s height and it’s still growing.
