New Age Of Summoners

As one of the guardians, Ancestor or ‘Patriarch of nightmares’ knew what happened to the other guardians and what they could be doing right now.

So, when he heard Oliver’s words, he could guess that one of the guardians’ souls was resting inside King Stephen because it was the only way for King Stephen to know about him, the ‘Lord of water’ who was currently recovering his strength in Cain’s body.

”Invite him in.”

Ancestor thought for a moment regarding which guardian was inside King Stephen before asking Oliver to invite King Stephen.

Soon, King Stephen walked in as Ancestor created a barrier around them.

’Nightmares’

Without wasting any time, he used one of his signature skills on King Stephen.

’What…’

King Stephen was shocked at the sudden incoming of the black energy from the young man in front of him.

’Water God’s barrier.’

Just as King Stephen was shocked regarding the sudden attack from Ancestor who was inside Cain, his eyes turned dark blue colour and at the same time, his voice changed completely compared to his usual self.

However, a light blue coloured barrier around King Stephen blocked the black energy rushing towards him.

”You are still as cautious as before, Ancestor or should I call ‘Patriarch of nightmares’?”

Just like Cain, King Stephen’s body was taken over by his master as he replied to Ancestor with a slight smile on his face.

”So, it is ‘Lord of the water’. Looks like your recovery skills are lacking.”

Ancestor used his skill to find out who was residing inside King Stephen’s body and he was successful in it after seeing the light blue coloured barrier around King Stephen.

Among the guardians, Lord of the water has the least battle prowess; however, when it comes to the recovery skills or techniques, he would be placed first.

However, when Ancestor saw ‘Lord of the water’ using his skill, he was able to roughly gauge the recovery rate of that guardian. So, he could not help but comment on it with a scoff.

”Haha…it’s just that luck is not on my side as my soul was sent to the Zrochester province.”

Lord of water was not embarrassed at all when he heard Ancestor’s words as he had his own reason for recovering so slowly.

’When the time comes, you will know why my recovery rate is very slow.’

At the same time, he silently thought in his head.

”Looks like it.”

Ancestor looked at King Stephen’s body as he nodded his head because it was indeed ‘Lord of water’s’ blad luck to be thrown into the Zrochester province; However, he also knew there were other reasons.

’But who cares. I have my own plans too.’

In this world, when cultivators had the same goals and dreams like becoming the emperor of the world, it would be very hard to establish trust among them.

Also, it was one of the reasons why their so-called perfect ambush was unsuccessful.

Moreover, compared to the Lord of the water, the Patriarch of the Nightmares had connections with the demons and he also knew about the upcoming demon invasion.

”Anyway, we have a lot to talk about, right?”

Both Ancestor and Stephen’s master said the same words at the same time before starting chatting about the past, the present and the future.

Of course, he hid the information and trump cards from one another in the chat.

…..

Present time.

In the colosseum.

”What? The participants have to stop the initial round of the demon invasion?”

All the onlookers were shocked to learn about the demon invasion; however, they were not worried much about it because of Elder Boron.

”Everyone, keep quiet.”

Hearing the whispers from the onlookers, Elder Boron stood up from his chair as he walked to the front of the huge stage.

”The ranking for these 15 participants depends on the number of demons they kill and the longer they last fighting against the demons.”

”Also, there is something I need to inform you about before the contest starts.”

All of a sudden, Elder Boron became serious and the same goes for the onlookers as they could sense there was definitely something important Elder Boron was going to inform them.

”According to the information I received, this will be the largest demon invasion. So, after a few rounds of the demon armies, everyone must participate in stopping the demon invasion. In case we fail to stop the demon invasion, you know what will happen, right?”

Initially, Elder Boron wanted to use rewards to tempt them in stopping the demon invasion; however, he felt reminding the results of failing to stop the demon invasion would be more effective.

”You can use all your elemental spirits, the contracted spirit beasts, any artifact or any trump card you have.  Of course, those who harm the fellow participants either intentionally or unintentionally will be directly killed by me without any hesitation.”

Elder Boron informed the participants about the final rules of the rounds as he increased the volume of his voice and said, “The fifth round starts now.”

’Woah…looks like this will be the most interesting contest in history.’

’Of course, it will be as it is the first time using the live demon invasion as the contest.’

’I wonder who will win the contest?’

’Who else? It will be Ajax because I heard he has a King realm spirit beast.’

’But, I don’t think the parents of other participants would let him win just like that. They would give their contracted spirit beasts and elemental spirits.’

’You are wrong. Even though the guardian said that they could use any trump cards, they can’t use the contracted spirit beasts and the elemental spirits belonging to others.’

’Why is that?’

’It is the basic rule of the contest. So, they can’t use their parents’ elemental spirits or contracted spirit beasts. But, they can form contracts with the spirit beasts as it will be much easier compared to the elemental spirit.’

’What?’

The onlookers were looking forward to the trump cards used by the participants.
