Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Although his opponent was not considered strong, for him, the ones watching from above were the Nascent Soul Ancestor of the Ye Family and the various Golden Core Ancestors.

He needed to win cleanly and decisively.

”As expected of the Ye Family! Geniuses emerge endlessly. My Wan Family is truly in awe!” Wan Chengjie cupped his hands repeatedly.

The other Affiliated Clans also began to offer their compliments.

Of course, the Ma Family and the Xu Family were still a bit confused. They didn’t understand why Wan Chengjie hadn’t cupped his hands to compliment Ye Zhijian earlier, but was now stepping forward to do so.

”Xingyuan, since when did you learn to hide things like this?” Ye Haicheng and Ye Jingcheng couldn’t help but look at Ye Xingyuan.

To ordinary Foundation Establishment Cultivators, he seemed like just a typical Sword Cultivator who had grasped Sword Intent.

But to the Ye Family’s Golden Cores and the few Purple Mansions present, it was a different story.

When Ye Tengchuan took out the five swords, they could sense two faint strands of Sword Intent still lingering on his body.

Specifically, they were Fire Attribute Sword Intent and Earth Attribute Sword Intent.

This meant that Ye Tengchuan might have comprehended three strands of Sword Intent. If he could comprehend the remaining two in the future, he would possess five strands of Sword Intent. Such talent in the Sword Dao was naturally shocking.

”Uncle, I took the liberty of delaying his Foundation Establishment for a while,” Ye Xingyuan explained. ”I was helping him comprehend the Five Elements Sword Intent.”

Ye Tengchuan’s talent in the Sword Dao was no worse than Ye Zhijian’s. The only reason the gap between them seemed so large was that one had Five Spirit Roots while the other possessed a Celestial Spirit Root.

This was also why Ye Xingyuan’s face was full of smiles.

Having Five Spirit Roots was no big deal to the Ye Family. Ye Tengchuan also had a Five-Inch Beast Pattern. While it wasn’t considered exceptional, it was enough to control five Spirit Beasts.

With five Spirit Beasts driving his cultivation forward, there was naturally no need to worry about his Spirit Roots being too poor or his future cultivation being stunted.

The only issue was that Ye Tengchuan had no side skills to rely on, which was precisely why Ye Xingyuan had selected him as a Spiritual Child.

”Not bad at all!” Ye Jingcheng looked at Ye Tengchuan, not holding back his praise.

This meant that the Ye Family’s Sword Cultivators had worthy successors.

Although the Ye Family was a Spirit Beast Clan, if they wanted the clan to grow strong, they needed to advance simultaneously in all areas for vigorous development.

In terms of combat power, there were times when Sword Cultivators were unmatched by even Thunder Cultivators or Spirit Beasts.

Sikong Ziming of the Taiyi Sect had caused the Ye Family to suffer greatly in the Earth Immortal Realm for this very reason.

Hearing Ye Jingcheng’s encouragement, Ye Tengchuan was overjoyed.

This was, after all, the number one person in the clan. Even a mere word of praise from him was enough to make him the envy of the Ye Family for decades.

Of course, he still hesitated slightly at this moment.

It seemed Wan Yuhuo’s strength was too poor, leaving him unable to display his remaining two strands of Sword Intent. He wanted to spar again, but seeing that no one else had fought multiple times, he weighed his options and stepped down.

He knew he needed opportunities like this, but many other Ye Family Members needed them just as much.

They needed a chance to showcase themselves; how could he monopolize everyone’s time here?

Watching Ye Tengchuan step down, Ye Zhijian couldn’t help but send him another transmission.

However, Ye Tengchuan simply shook his head.

It was precisely because he had Five Spirit Roots that he understood there were many others in the Ye Family like him, waiting for an opportunity to prove themselves.

Next, a few more members of the Ye Family went up.

Among them were Ye Tengmei from the Spirit Talisman Hall and Ye Yuntao from the Law Enforcement Hall.

What started as challenges against the Affiliated Clans eventually evolved into inter-clan sparring.

Finally, as the last dish of Spiritual Cuisine was served, the entire ceremony drew to a close.

”Young friends, today’s banquet is nearing its end. The Nascent Soul sermon is scheduled for tomorrow at the hour of Chen, in the Lingyuan Peak plaza,” Ye Jingcheng said after finishing his last cup of Spirit Wine.

His words were directed not only at the cultivators of the Affiliated Clans but also at the Ye Family Members.

The primary focus of his sermon would be the Ye Family.

At this moment, let alone the Foundation Establishment and Purple Mansion cultivators, even Golden Cores like Ye Haicheng, Ye Xuefan, Ye Yunxi, and Ye Jinghu were brimming with excitement.

After the crowd dispersed, Ye Xingyuan and the various Hall Masters were asked to stay behind.

In the grand hall, only about a dozen people remained, including Ye Jingcheng, Ye Haicheng, Ye Xueliang, and Ye Xuefan.

”Do you have any leads on the remaining Sword Intents?” Ye Haicheng was the first to ask.

Five strands of Sword Intent, Five Spirit Roots, and a Five-Inch Beast Pattern.

To the Ye Family, this was absolutely a genius worth nurturing.

”I have some leads on the Sword Intent. As for Spirit Beasts, I want to select a Golden Lizard, a Silver Moon Python, a Mammoth, a Three-Eyed Roc, and a Profound Wood Ape for him,” Ye Xingyuan said.

He felt a bit apprehensive at the moment, as these Spirit Beasts were exceptionally scarce in the Ye Family.

But he was also worried that without these specific Spirit Beasts, Ye Tengchuan’s cultivation speed would be abysmal.

”You can prepare them for him, but don’t give them all at once. Give him one first, and let him transition with four ordinary ones for now.

”Additionally, regarding his Cultivation Technique, let him choose between the Five Phase Celestial Essence Scripture and the Five Spirits True Manual,” Ye Haicheng added after glancing at Ye Jingcheng and receiving a nod of approval.

The Five Phase Celestial Essence Scripture was the Cultivation Technique Ye Jingcheng had previously practiced, while the Five Spirits True Manual was his current one.

Relatively speaking, the former was easier to cultivate, but it required a balance of the Five Elements to break through Great Realms above Foundation Establishment.

The Five Spirits True Manual did not have that restriction, but its cultivation speed was slower, and the difficulty was significantly higher.

”Let’s wait and see after he comprehends all the Five Elements Sword Intents,” Ye Jingcheng added from the side.

He was equally full of anticipation for a junior like this.

If his Five Elements Sword Intents were balanced, cultivating the Five Phase Celestial Essence Scripture would obviously be better. After all, the junior didn’t have his Seven-Inch Beast Pattern, nor did he possess as many High-Tier Spirit Beasts or his Alchemy Skill.

If possible, simpler was better.

But if there was an imbalance, he would naturally have no choice but to select the Five Spirits True Manual.

After discussing the clansmen of the Sword Hall for a while, the Ye Family moved on to discuss the selection of Spiritual Children for the other halls.

Almost all of these Spiritual Children had gone up to the sparring arena to demonstrate their skills.

Of course, because their opponents weren’t particularly strong, their true capabilities would have to be evaluated during the upcoming Ye Family grand competition.

Three days later.

The second day arrived quickly.

Even before the hour of Chen, the Lingyuan Peak plaza was already packed.

At the very front were small pavilions occupied by the Ye Family’s Golden Cores and Purple Mansions. Behind them, the Foundation Establishment Cultivators and Qi Cultivation Cultivators had no choice but to sit on the ground.

Among them, Wan Chengjie and Ma Xiuyuan of the Wan Family were also sitting on the ground in the back.

Although the Ye Family had extended an invitation, neither of them felt they had the qualifications to sit further up.

After all, there were Golden Cores in the pavilions ahead. The Ye Family’s Purple Mansions and Golden Cores could sit in the pavilions, but that didn’t mean they could.

On the circular platform in the center, Ye Jingcheng also took his seat.

Seeing Chu Yanqing, Ye Qingfeng, and Ye Qingnian down below, he couldn’t help but smile.

However, what surprised him the next moment was a large number of Spirit Turtles flying over from the distance.

These Spirit Turtles were none other than the Turtle Ancestor leading a flock of little turtles.

”Listen closely from the side. This is a Nascent Soul sermon,” the Turtle Ancestor said, pointing to an empty spot nearby and instructing the somewhat talented little turtles to land.

Seeing this, the elders of the Ye Family were remarkably surprised, and the Affiliated Clans were even more astonished.

The Ye Family’s Spirit Beasts were actually intelligent enough to attend a sermon!

”Make sure you listen carefully. I fought hard for this opportunity for you. In the future, when you earn Contribution Points, remember to give me a thirty percent cut,” the Turtle Ancestor didn’t forget to instruct them at the end.

These words fell into the ears of the others, making the situation seem even more bizarre.

”All of you, make sure to take notes,” Wan Chengjie said. He didn’t pay too much attention to the Spirit Turtles; after all, he had long witnessed the profound mysteries of the Ye Family.

Even if the Ye Family’s Spirit Beasts could perform Artifact Refining or grasp Sword Intent, he wouldn’t be surprised.

He was currently watching as everyone in the Ye Family took out Jade Talismans to record the sermon.

He tentatively took out a Jade Talisman as well. Seeing that the Ye Family didn’t react negatively, he quickly reminded his fellow clansmen to do the same.

Taking notes personally would leave the deepest impression.

A Nascent Soul ceremony and a Nascent Soul sermon were no joke—many people wouldn’t encounter one in their entire lifetimes.

Even in the Eastern Domain Countries, sometimes a Nascent Soul ceremony wouldn’t occur for a century or two.

Let alone in the Desert Sea.

Ye Jingcheng didn’t deliberately hold anything back.

According to ancient texts, giving a sermon boosted one’s own providence.

Concepts like providence and fate were things that cultivators needed to believe in to some extent.

Furthermore, most of the cultivators present were affiliated with the Ye Family. The Ye Family genuinely hoped they would grow stronger so they could do more for the clan.

When the time was right, Ye Jingcheng slowly began his sermon.

His teachings were not obscure; on the contrary, they were quite straightforward and easy for everyone to understand.

He started his sermon from the basics of Qi Cultivation.

The Ye Family had allocated three days for this sermon. Naturally, ordinary Qi Cultivation and Foundation Establishment Cultivators would have to leave after a day and a half!

This wasn’t because Ye Jingcheng was stingy, but because once the sermon progressed to the Purple Mansion and Golden Core Realms, not everyone would be able to withstand it.
