Villains Aren't Stepping Stones!

The incense continued to unfurl its slender, winding ribbons through the moonlit chamber, the pale smoke clinging to the dark sandalwood panels like silver silk.

The air remained dense with the heavy, cloying scent of night-blooming lotus and crushed winter jasmine, yet beneath that fragrant mask, the ambient spiritual pressure of the room had warped entirely.

Su Xishi did not pull away. She remained perched upon Haoran’s lap, her slender thighs bracketing his waist, her arms resting across his broad shoulders with the easy, dangerous grace of a playful fox that knew it was playing with a beast.

Her eyes locked onto his chiseled face. The warm, firm touch of his fingers still lingered along the elegant line of her jaw, sending microscopic, electrifying shivers through her meridians.

Yet, despite the intoxicating heat blooming against her chest, her expression never lost the clarity she always had.

”I am flattered that you think so highly of me, Young Master,” she murmured, her voice smooth as warmed wine, sweet enough to drown a mortal kingdom in ruinous devotion. ”To hear that the scion of the Shen Clan, the undisputed monster who treats the geniuses of the central region like dry grass, wanting me... it is a temptation that could make even an immortal maiden lose her sanity.”

A faint, self-deprecating laugh escaped her lips, soft as falling leaves. ”But, like I have said, my ambition to become Emperor and compete for Immortality far outweighs my admiration for you.”

She leaned back just an inch, tilting her chin with that pride native to the Nine Tailed Demon Fox lineage.

”I have seen the fates of women who surrender their path to love, Young Master Shen,” she continued, her pupils narrowing with cold, calculating lucidity. ”They are praised as goddesses in their youth. They are courted with mountains of spirit stones, celebrated with banquets that span three thousand leagues, and promised an eternity of celestial glory by men who swear their hearts will never waver. And what happens when those men ascend? What happens when the gap in their cultivation widens by an ocean?”

She shook her head, her hair swaying against her collar.

”They wither. They will be left behind in a golden cage, growing old in the shadow of a palace she cannot leave. She becomes a footnote in his grand epic—a memory of his mortal days, visited out of pity and remembered with polite indifference.”

”I refuse that fate. I would rather be shredded to pieces by heavenly tribulations at the threshold of the Supreme Emperor realm than live as a forgotten treasure in any man’s imperial harem.”

Her hands slid gently from his shoulders, her long fingers lightly brushing his robes as she maintained her unblinking, burning gaze.

”My master taught me that a cultivator’s Dao is her only true companion beneath the sky. Friends betray, sects crumble, empires burn, and even the stars fall from the firmament. But the strength you forged, the laws carved into your own soul—that is the only thing that will never abandon you.”

”I want my name carved into the primordial steles alongside the ancient monarchs, revered not because I warmed the bed of Shen Haoran, but because the Nine Tailed Demon Fox commanded the awe of the cosmos in her own right.”

”Young master, my admiration for you is genuine, there is no question about that. But my Dao is my life.”

Haoran did not pull back. He did not frown, nor did he release a single wisp of displeased aura.

Instead, he simply watched her, his eyes burning with a leisurely, terrifying amusement that seemed to see right through the flesh and bone of her mortal shell, looking directly into the ancient, untamed spirit residing within her sea of consciousness.

He then smirked, his lips parting to deliver words that shattered the very foundation of her logic.

”Then, make me your dao.”

”Huh?”

Su Xishi blinked.

The sharp, haughty confidence on her countenance fractured in an instant, her eyes widened, the tail behind her back freezing mid-motion, their celestial radiance flickering with sudden, jarring bewilderment.

In all her years of studying the intricate scriptures of the Blissful Palace, in all her calculations regarding men, desire, and the ruthless politics of cultivation, she had prepared for every possible counter.

She had anticipated him trying to conquer her by force, she had anticipated him testing her resolve with divine treasures, and she had even prepared for him to dismiss her coldly as an arrogant fool.

She had never, in her wildest dreams, anticipated this.

”What... what did you just say?” she whispered, her voice faltering for the first time since he had stepped into her chamber.

Haoran didn’t look away. His grip on her chin tightened just enough to ensure her eyes remained pinned to his, his golden pupils blazing with an intoxicating, tyrannical brilliance that seemed to swallow the dim light of the bedchamber.

”Make me your dao, chase after me, surrender your body to me.”

The words rolled over her like an ancient cosmic decree, leaving no room for negotiation, no room for hesitation, and completely rewriting the rules of the game she thought she was playing.

”You speak of your Dao as if it were a delicate piece of porcelain, easily shattered by the touch of a man,” Haoran spoke, his deep, resonant voice vibrating directly against her sternum, echoing within her upper dantian like an iron bell. ”You follow the teachings of your master, hiding behind the shield of eternal chastity, believing that denying your primal yin to the world is the only way to reach the Supreme Emperor realm. But tell me, Xishi—is that truly supreme power? Or is it merely fear disguised as discipline?”

Su Xishi’s brows knit together, a spark of indignation flaring within her pupils.

”Fear? Young Master, our cultivation technique is an ancient method passed down for thousands of years! It concentrates the pristine yin of the soul, refining it without a single impurity—”

”It is a cage,” Haoran interrupted coldly, cutting through her defense with merciless precision. ”A technique created by someone who reached an impasse and lacked the courage to transcend it. True supremacy does not require you to flee from desire, nor does it demand that you lock your body in an icy vault. If your Dao is so fragile that losing your virginity shatters your foundation, then your Dao was never fit to compete for immortality in the first place.”

He shifted slightly, his gaze piercing straight through the layers of her spiritual defenses, laying bare the deepest, most secret yearnings of her soul.

”You want to reach the summit? You want to become an Emperor whose name shakes the three thousand worlds? Then do not chase an abstract, lifeless concept of purity. Chase after me!”

”Make me the mountain you must climb! Make me the sky you must reach! Let your desire for me, your admiration for my strength, and your ambition to stand as my equal become the blazing furnace that refines your cultivation!”

”If you surrender your body to me, it will not be an act of weakness or submission—it will be your ultimate declaration of conquest! You will conquer me with your own two hands, binding your fate to mine, using the boundless, primordial yang of my bloodline to shatter the very bottlenecks your master was too terrified to face!”

Su Xishi sat completely frozen on his lap, her breath trapped in her throat, her chest rising and falling in sharp, shallow gasps.

Her mind, usually as sharp and calculating as an Imperial strategist, was spinning in a wild, dizzying vortex.

Make him my Dao?

The concept was terrifying. It was blasphemous. It flew directly in the face of everything the Blissful Immortal Coupling Palace—no, everything the entire cultivation world had preached for generations.

The ancients taught them to chase after the dao and reach immortality.

Her master had taught her to manipulate the lust of mortal men from afar, treating their desires as disposable fuel while maintaining an untouched, untouchable distance.

Yet, looking into Shen Haoran’s golden eyes, she saw the sheer, undeniable truth in his words.

Her master, for all her peerless glory, had stopped at the threshold of the Supreme Emperor realm.

She had never stepped into the true, boundless heavens; she had never touched the realm of true Immortals.

What would she know about the higher heavens?

And to make him her Dao...

The thought sent an electrifying, burning shudder straight down her spine, pooling into the deepest core of her dantian.

Shen Haoran was not an ordinary man. He was the undisputed apex of this era—a monster who treated ancient sects like dust, and whose destiny was to conquer the heavens themselves.

To chase after a man like that, to turn his overwhelming, untouchable existence into her ultimate goal, and to conquer his bed not as a submissive concubine, but as an empress claiming her rightful half...

It was a path infinitely more terrifying, infinitely more dangerous, and infinitely more glorious than hiding behind the conservative scriptures of an ancient sect!

”Surrender my body to you...” Su Xishi murmured, her voice trembling slightly, the words tasting like forbidden, intoxicating wine upon her tongue.

Her eyes softened, the cold arrogance of the Saintess dissolving entirely, replaced by a fierce, wild, and predatory ambition that burned brighter than ever before.

Her tail flared outward, wrapping loosely around Haoran’s waist, their velvety fur radiating an incandescent heat that matched the fire in his blood.

She slowly tilted her head, her ruby lips drawing so close to his that she could feel the heat radiating from his breath, a slow, breathtaking smile curling across her porcelain face.

”That sounds...more interesting. Very well. I will chase after you. I will make you my Dao. And when the day comes that I stand at your side as a true Supreme Emperor... I will claim you so thoroughly that the heavens themselves will weep with envy.”

Su Xishi shifted her weight on Haoran’s lap, the friction of her thighs against his trousers sending a jolt of heat through him.

”That said...young master Shen, are you willing to accept my affection?”

Her purple eyes were clouded with desire, shimmering under the dim light as she leaned in, her white fox ears twitching with every ragged breath he took.

Her fluffy white tail swayed rhythmically, occasionally brushing against his calves, teasing him.

Haoran didn’t wait another second. He gripped her waist tightly, his fingers digging into her soft skin, and pulled her flush against his chest.

He crashed his lips onto hers in a hungry, demanding kiss as Su Xishi let out a muffled moan, her arms winding around his neck as she returned the kiss with equal fervor, her tongue dancing with his in a wet, sloppy exchange of saliva.

Breaking the kiss, Haoran trailed his lips down to the sensitive column of her neck.

He inhaled the sweet scent of her skin before sinking his teeth into the junction where her neck met her shoulder.

He bit down hard enough to leave a mark, a claim of ownership that made Su Xishi arch her back and let out a sharp, needy gasp.

”I’m a greedy man,” Haoran murmured against her skin, his voice a low growl. ”So not just your affection, but your flaws, you strength, and weaknesses. I accept all of it.”

His hands moved from her waist to the tie of her robes. With a slow, deliberate tug, he loosened the silk.

He didn’t rush; he wanted to savor the anticipation as he peeled the fabric back, inch by inch, exposing the creamy skin of her shoulders and collarbones.

As the robes slid further down, her heavy, pale breasts spilled out from the garment.

They were magnificent—large, plump globes with wide, pink nipples already hard and peaking from the chill of the air and the heat of her arousal.

Haoran stared for a moment, his smirk widening at the sight of her chest heaving with every breath.

He reached out, cupping one breast fully in his palm, squeezing the soft flesh firmly as he watched her purple eyes flutter shut in sheer pleasure.

”So, just relax, and surrender yourself to me.”
