My father sold me to the Mafia King

Chapter 336:

Julie’s POV

We took a few wide strides outside the doorstep of the house .While the cold was creeping beneath my coat to make my body, ignited with lust, shudder, the stillness of the night was suddenly cut by the ringing of Steve’s phone with force and continuous tones.

Steve stopped in his place with suddenness, knitting his eyebrows in wonder as he pulled the phone from his winter pocket. The moment he looked at the screen, his features tightened and changed to total seriousness, and he pressed the answer button, placing the phone to his ear swiftly: ”Hello? Yes, I am with you.”

Silence prevailed for counted seconds in which we heard nothing except the trembling and disturbed tone of the other party across the line. With the passage of the moments, I saw how Steve’s body stiffened entirely, his eyes widening with shock and dread as he rubbed his forehead with convulsed fingers, shouting in a tight and raised tone to overcome his stunned breaths: ”What are you saying?! An important tourist reserved the entire restaurant now and at this late hour of the night?!”

He stopped to listen again to the manager’s talk, and exhaled with a sharp tightness and oppression, his patience exhausted as he shook his head with helplessness, saying with agitation: ”I know... I certainly know that there is no chef other than me now at this time... Damn it! Fine, fine... do not close the restaurant, I am coming to you right now at maximum speed.”

Steve closed the line with a swift strike on the screen, and turned to us with features torn with regret and heartbreak, looking at me with exhausted eyes, saying in a low tone: ”I am very, very sorry, folks... it appears that our stay-up and celebration have been completely spoiled before they began. A maximum state of emergency has occurred in the restaurant where I work; there is a highly important tourist who reserved the entire place now, and there is no chef there to cook for him at this late hour, and the manager insists on my presence right now to save the situation... I must go instantly and without any delay.”

I captured a deep, highly deep breath, and felt a sudden and sweeping relief traveling through my convulsed limbs and undoing the restriction of my tight chest. Despite my slight regret for my brother Steve, inside myself I felt as if a heavy mountain had been displaced from my shoulders due to the cancellation of this cursed and ill-omened stay-up, which was going to gather me with this base Jake in one place and force me to track his hateful looks and swallow his absurdities all night long.

The intensity of tension decreased in my features a little, and I relaxed my tight grip from the edges of my black coat, while I turned with my body toward Steve, who was poised for departure, and said with breaths that had become calmer: ”No harm done, Steve... your work is more important than any stay-up; go, do not worry regarding us.”

Steve nodded with hurried gratitude, and turned around with running strides to vanish quickly as a ghost in the darkness of the external street in search of a taxi to transport him.

The moment the door was closed behind him and I remained in the hallway by myself with Jake, the steel wall of hatred and aversion returned to rise between us higher than it had been before; we couldn’t tolerate each other by any form or manner, and living beneath one roof was in the capacity of a mutual punishment for both of us.

My eyes met his sharp blue eyes, which were gleaming with coolness and looks charged with total contempt and open disgust.

Jake twisted his lips with revulsion and a scathing mockery, turning his head away from me with boredom and shaking his hands in the air with tightness, releasing a heavy exhale filled with aversion from my presence, saying in a dry, provoking tone: ”Damn this cursed and bad luck... there was truly nothing missing for me tonight except to be trapped by myself in this house with the complicated, wild woman without Steve’s presence.”

My jaw and the muscles of my face convulsed with blind malice, and I ground my teeth with a silent violence that almost shattered them. Although the cursed heat and the hot, burning pulsing beneath my abdomen remained, my intense hatred and disgust for this base, despicable wretch overwhelmed every cell in my body.

I gripped the edge of my coat with tight fingers until my joints turned completely white.

I turned with my body with momentum and total rigidity, shouting in his face with a sharp hiss, the veins of my neck prominent: ”Do not think that I can tolerate seeing your hateful, revolting face.”

I moved with tense paces toward the kitchen with a highly distracted mind. I was attempting by any means to distract my mind and expel the phantom of Robert’s features and his violent body, which had become gnawing at my thinking with an ugly lust tracking me. I could no longer tolerate enduring; that cursed desire for fucking was gnawing at my entrails and transcending all my capacity to endure and control.

I opened the kitchen cupboard with hands trembling violently, and snatched with crazy momentum a bottle of strong alcoholic drink that Steve used to keep in the corner. I froze in my place for seconds while looking at the bottle with widened eyes and a hidden dread.

Even though I do not drink indeed, and despite my bad, black past with drink where I got drunk from the first time in the past and what occurred of disasters occurred yet the fires of the raging lust invading my pussy and beneath my abdomen now were faster than my mind.

I ground my teeth with oppression and decided to drink again without awareness to lose sensation and forget this physical hell at any price. I opened the bottle with heavily trembling fingers, raised it directly to my lips with recklessness, and swallowed from it successive, burning, and violent gulps that scorched my throat and wounded my windpipe harshly, for the fires to ignite in my inside.
