My father sold me to the Mafia King

Chapter 311:

Julie’s POV

The earth spun violently around me, and I could no longer comprehend or understand what was happening at all.

My limbs stiffened entirely, and my stunned mind failed to connect the data... if my brother Steve was standing with his entire body and massiveness at the threshold of the door, then who was this still person beneath whose waist I was so boldly perched?!

Steve’s features shifted in a second from calmness to complete astonishment, and he knitted his eyebrows with sweeping confusion as he looked at our strange, shameful position on the bed, uttering in a surprised and disapproving tone: ”What the hell are you doing, Julie? And what is this situation?”

I turned my face with extreme slowness, a real terror gnawing at my insides to see the identity of the body beneath me. At that fatal, embarrassing moment, the two strong hands moved from under the wool with a sudden, unexpected motion, and stripped the blanket forcefully off his face. My eyes widened in sweeping shock, and my color turned completely pale like the dead when my gaze settled in the depths of the eyes of that cursed Jake. He darted a cunning, malicious look at me full of mockery and gloating, and a highly provocative smile sketched on his lips, driving me insane as he said in a playful tone: ”Continue, Julie... continue, for heaven’s sake. What were you talking and venting about me just now? I am all ears!”

I felt the heat of intense embarrassment and shame coursing like fire through my face, dyeing my cheeks a deep crimson. But from the excess of rage, oppression, and confusion, I did not control my nerves or my reaction; I raised my palm with supernatural speed and delivered a powerful, driving strike to his head, screaming with a convulsion and widened eyes: ”You cursed, despicable, lowlife! How dare you deceive me?!”

Jake did not grant me a single second to comprehend; his massive hands extended with lightning speed and gripped with immense tightness onto my waist from under the blanket. With a single quick, sudden movement of his strength, he wrapped the heavy woolen blanket around me entirely like a cocoon to restrict my movement, to drag me with him lightly and place me on the mattress with violence and harshness.

He did not suffice with that humiliating movement; rather, he grabbed the edges of the blanket from both sides decisively and fixed it with the strength of his arms and muscles on the mattress, pressing down with the weight of his upper body, such that I became entirely trapped and imprisoned under the fabric, unable to move, breathe, or see!

I ignited with madness and hysteria inside that dense, terrifying darkness, and began kicking my feet randomly in every direction and shaking my body violently in a desperate, losing attempt to escape him, and screamed in a muffled, choked voice, congested with oppression: ”You filthy, cursed lowlife... let me go immediately or I will bury you alive!”

In the midst of my successive strikes and my raging floundering under his weight, the firm, stern voice of Steve reached my ears as he advanced toward the bed with angry steps that struck the floor with strength, saying in a loud voice that shook the room: ”Jake... enough of this ridiculous joking, let her go now!”

Instantly, I felt the terrifying pressure over the blanket relax quickly, and Steve pulled the thick fabric off my face with a quick, hurried movement. As soon as I breathed the fresh air and my sight returned to me, I rose from above the bed with a rush and madness like a raging, predatory beast, and tried to reach and clash with Jake with my nails to tear his provocative face, but Steve’s strong arms extended with supernatural speed and surrounded my body from behind, preventing me by brute force as he pulled me firmly backward behind his broad back.

I twisted with nervousness between my brother’s hands while breathing with extreme difficulty, my eyes igniting with sparks and harshness, and shouted in a voice that shook the entire corners of the room: ”Let me go, Steve... I will kill him today with these two hands of mine, and no one will stop me!”

Jake adjusted his seating over the mattress with deadly coldness, and tossed the strands of his hair with complete, nerve-wracking indifference. Then he burst into a provocative, loud, and roaring laugh that shook his broad shoulders, and looked into the depth of my eyes, saying in an open challenge: ”Kill me? Come on, my fierce kitty... show me your strength and kill me!”

I turned my head quickly toward my brother Steve while pointing with my index finger, which was trembling violently, toward that provocative man sitting on the bed, and said in intense oppression and rage: ”Look at him yourself, Steve... he deliberately provokes me and harasses my nerves with blatant insolence!”

Steve relaxed his grip and his sharpness over me a little after ensuring the cessation of my physical attack and my retreat, knitted his eyebrows in brotherly reproach, looked directly into my eyes, and asked calmly and in a balanced tone: ”Julie... why did you enter his room in this manner in the first place, and at this early time?”

I clamped my lips in intense embarrassment, and averted my gaze from his face a little to hide my shame, then returned to say in a low, faltering voice: ”I... I truly thought that you were the one sleeping here in the room, and I did not know that he exchanged places with you.”

Then I turned my entire torso and half of my body toward Jake, clouded the look of my green eyes with intense hatred and malice, and ground out from between my teeth in a roaring, audible voice: ”You were awake and hearing every word and every letter I said, and you certainly knew that I thought you were Steve... why didn’t you speak or move the blanket to reveal your face, you cursed, insolent lowlife?!”

Jake leaned his back backward, resting comfortably on his arms over the mattress, and raised his eyebrows with malice and cunning. The malicious, provocative smile did not leave his face as he said with a deadly coldness that shattered my nerves: ”Because simply... I was enjoying hearing your fierce confessions and your distress of me.”
